There's a lot of good things to say and one major bad thing ... which I will chalk up to a bad night. First, the good. The food was great! The meatloaf cupcakes was different and very good ... try extra gravy next time. The wings were priced right and have many different flavors, I really liked my mango haberano. I got there around 9pm on a Friday night and it was not very busy at all. I sat at a table and after 15 minutes of no one checking on me ... and noticing none of the other tables were being serviced, I moved to the bar. I sat there for 10 minutes when I finally asked one of the bartenders (who kept walking by me) if I could place a food and drink order. So, will I come back (this was my first time), yes. My friends and I were so excited to come here for the R&B Sunday Brunch. I don't know if our experience was a one-off, but it was disaster after disaster. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon walking in and getting seated, the music was great, the crowd was electric, and everyone was videoing the good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That's where it ends. We were greeted by our server. And given ONE paper menu for all of us. We were a party of 4. 3 of us got mimosas and asked for a round of water. We waited an EASY 15-20 minutes for our mimosas to come to the table. To our dismay, they were served in short plastic cups. Only some people at some tables had champagne glasses for their mimosas, so we chalked it up to them running out of glassware. After he dropped off our drinks, no waters, we didn't see him again for another 15 minutes. Upon looking around, everyone was listening to music and having mimosas, but there were tables with only some people eating (meaning a whole table didn't have their food). The table next to me was upset because the server said the kitchen was not taking orders for a while because the kitchen was backed up. We had the same server and he never even told us that - he just never came back to the table. Another 10-15 minutes went by and he came back and relayed the same message. I literally felt like I was in the stress test night of the show Bar Rescue. People dressed in black were coming out with food and just handing it off to waiters, for them to figure out where it went. Literally just handing them plates. No tickets in hand, no table number. There WAS NO SYSTEM! It was chaos. 4 times a different person came to our table to drop off food that didn't belong to us. After we ordered our food and it came out (semi warm), only 3 of the 4 entrees were delivered. After 20 minutes of not receiving the last entree, our friend went to go see where it was. They wound up bringing it out another 10 minutes later. We immediately asked for the check. Ready for this: they tack on a 20% large party fee. I asked the table next to us if they had the same fee and they did. Large party = 4 people?! My recommendation: if they know this brunch is an event that gets extremely busy, they need to have enough glassware, servers that know what they're doing, have a system in place, understand table numbers, and a kitchen that's staffed correctly to handle the sheer volume of orders. LBC has become one of those places I really want to love because they do so many things right--but the service keeps holding them back. First, if you've never tried the meatloaf cupcakes, do it. Seriously. Don't knock them until you try them. They're one of the best things on the menu. The food in general is solid, and LBC always has fun events and live entertainment, which is what keeps bringing me back. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing over multiple visits. On my most recent visit, we sat at the bar for 5-10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, even though two bartenders walked by several times. Once we were finally helped, I ordered a beer that was listed as a bottle/can option but was automatically served a draft without being asked. I don't drink draft beer, so that was frustrating. The bartender's attitude improved as the visit went on, and I appreciated that, but this wasn't an isolated experience. After several visits, the service has consistently been the weakest part of LBC. LBC had great food. I got the burger that had blue cheese and substitute chx at no extra charge. Chips and coleslaw are standard sides. Substitute fries or something else is $2 upgrade. So I sucked it up and got fries which was a huge helping; however half of them looked like they were broken pieces from the bottom of the bag. But my burger was big, juicy and delicious. The waitress was super helpful. Which came in handy because the drinks we kept trying to order from the menu where not available when she went to get it. She got some steps in with our table. Drinks were cold and good. And prices were amazing. Best I've seen in a long time without happy hour. The menu at this restaurant is fantastic. It's very diverse, has a lot of variety. And the burgers are definitely The Star here. I ended up having a toasted turkey apple crossaint sandwich which was yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating outside is perfect for friends and those who want to bring their family members. Because it has a great place for the kids to play.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices were decent and you definitely get a lot of food. I was very surprised to really like the chips that came with my meal. I actually ate the entire side of chips before I finished my sandwich! The beer and cider menu is very extensive and it was one of the draws that brought me to this location. However, they really need to update their menu because several of the items that I and my dinner mate wanted were not available and the waitress only knew this after she had to go back a nd forth to let us know what we wanted wasn't there! LBC in Palm Harbor has become one of my favorite places for brunch! The Sunday brunch is absolutely amazing with a great variety of delicious food, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience you receive. I've visited twice now and was so impressed that I chose LBC to host my daughter's graduation brunch. We had a party of 15, and the staff did an outstanding job accommodating our group. Everything was well organized, the service was attentive, and everyone in our party left happy and full. With the closure of our unmatched beer Mecca for the area - Palm Harbor House of Beers - a sad sad turn of events... Local Brewing Company, across & up I-19, is now the reigning champ for beer selection in the area with over 50 taps of draft beers. Amazing range of beers to satisfy any beer drinker or aficionado - so many local breweries across TampaBay are represented that you can travel the region with a beer glass! Only thing is the beer selection was very well chosen/curated /varied up front that they do minimal rotation across the selection which HoB used to do so expertly and challenged us with esoteric or unusual beers to try every time we came in. But be that as it may, the draft beer selection is stellar at LBC. [[HIGHLIGHT]]LBC also has great sports bar, lots of screens across ample size space and great pub food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Think burgers, flatbreads, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and great daily specials. Mother's Day! Unfortunately our experience is horrific. We are still here. No food We were sat for a noon reservation. Started ok. Then we couldn't get drinks or order food (finally ordered). We were given raffle tickets that they kept calling and we finally asked and they told us our tickets weren't good until 230 (sat at noon!). Then we were told we couldn't order anything except appetizers so we did. Everybody around us got full menu meals except us. First and last time. Party of 20. Very unhappy. Let's see if they try to make it right. Update... the MOMS NEVER got food and they just gave us our money back. Wow. read more

Came here to have dinner with friends. Followed the rule of no reservations past 6 pm. Put the reservation in and waited. There were 5 groups ahead of us at 630pm when we showed up. Continued to watch the numbers on the app dwindle down. At 700 pm it stated 0 groups ahead of us. At 740 went to check and see what the wait was and they pushed a large group ahead of us that supposedly ahead of us that had a reservation. This is difficult to believe seeing that it states in a big note on the hostess stand no reservations after 6 on Fridays and Saturday. The worst part is no communication from the team to us. I never tried this place but sadly doubt we will ever be back. After almost 1.5 hour wait we decided to leave. read more

I'm titling this review "What's With the Cocktail Napkins?" Read on: I have to echo some other reviews stating the place was understaffed. We experienced the same thing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Apparently, they hadn't considered that a rare warm January night would bring out diners interested in outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Still, other than some long delays, that didn't negatively impact our experience. In the end, our server, Tina, hustled her rear end off, earning her a 100% tip. She deserved it not just for us, but for the other tables she was juggling. I hope those other tables followed suit. As for the food, there was a lot of it. Wife got a turkey club sandwich, which fed her for two nights. I got the 1992 Lightning Burger. TIP: Order this cut in half. The flavor bomb is in the middle of the burger, so if you order it whole, it may take a few bites to hit the flavor you're expecting. I'll do this next time. Wings were typical, fries were excellent. Plenty of leftovers. The question we and many other tables had: Why are the cocktail napkins stamped with the Mariott logo? Nobody had an answer for that. Place isn't owned by Marriott and there's not a Marriott hotel or sister branded hotel within miles. Fun little diversion, I guess. Quick footnote: For a place called Local Brewing Company, they didn't have many local beers available. They were out of just about everything on tap. Stopped in for an evening of fun and dance with Disco Inferno. We grabbed an IPA beer from cycle brewing called crank... And some buffalo cauliflower. The beer is greatL as to be expected. The buffalo cauliflower was delicious, but it could have used a little bit more draining. There was quite a bit of oil in the bottom of the tray. But the flavor was good. I like a little bit more crisp on mine than what they had, but all in all it was a nice appetizer for the beginning of an evening of drinking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We always like it here at LBC. We stopped in to watch some college football on Saturday. These guys have a lot of TVs; it's a great place to watch games. We asked and they do have the NFL package too. They have a great beer list which features many locals as well as most of the standards. I ordered the chicken nachos to nosh on during the game. It was huge but a little goupy with a lot of cheese and sour cream. The chicken tasted like it was braised in a tomato sauce then shredded. It was good but I would have preferred it to be grilled and cubed. It was difficult to eat with your hands but it tasted good. My wife ordered a burger which was OK and cooked a little past the medium she ordered. Our server Alana did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I have been hearing about how good this place is, so we had to check it out. We were seated right away. You can sit inside or out. I would have loved to sit outside, but I have asthma and they smoke in that area. Our waitress was very good. She recommended some things, since it was our first time. She kept our tea glasses full and kept checking on us. We had fried cheese and spinach dip with chips as an appetizer. They were good and a the portion is big. The wedge salad was really good. I always enjoy the food here. My husband and friends enjoy the beer. However, December 21 you definitely did not have enough staff, additionally, you were out of tons of menu items and many beers we would have tried. The bartender was always very friendly, and did his best to handle the traffic in his end, but it was definitely a slow night! Finally visited after hearing great things and our experience last night was the opposite. After an hour wait just for appetizers our server told us there were issues in the kitchen. My Buffalo cauliflower was missing blue cheese dip and unenjoyable. Entrees were poor quality and cold when they finally came, except for one person in our party who was still waiting and then told to reorder because there was no fish for fish and chips. He had a ham croissant after everyone else was eating. I can understand there were issues and our server apologized. Unfortunately, the management of LBC does not staff the restaurant properly. A friend and I went for lunch. The bartender was handling six tables and five different groups at the bar. She seemed to have no help, normally a manager will pitch in not here. We ordered fried green tomatoes and a chili dog after not receiving our food for 45 minutes we called it paid our drink tab and left hungry. I wonder if the bartender was also the cook! Kyle is the main reason I'm giving LBC 4 stars. Such a sweet and attentive server, very charming as well, and great with kids. I went here for my nephew's birthday party. They have a large patio equipped with different games such as corn hole, Jenga, and others. The adults hung out inside while Kyle was consistently taking all our much needed drink orders indoors, he ran back and forth making sure the kids were well taken care of as well. The food is typical bar food flair, wings, flat bread pizzas, a variety of fried foods etc. LBC does have an extensive beer list as well as local rotating beers on draft. There are some games inside such as darts and a small stage for live music. There are also several large screen TVs for you sports enthusiasts. I don't live near Palm Harbor but I'd be willing to drop in next time I'm in the area for a flight and chat with Kyle. read more
