The cider I decided on because all the other selections were not available.
Olivia B.

The menu at this restaurant is fantastic. It's very diverse, has a lot of variety. And the burgers are definitely The Star here. I ended up having a toasted turkey apple crossaint sandwich which was yummy. The seating outside is perfect for friends and those who want to bring their family members. Because it has a great place for the kids to play. The prices were decent and you definitely get a lot of food. I was very surprised to really like the chips that came with my meal. I actually ate the entire side of chips before I finished my sandwich! The beer and cider menu is very extensive and it was one of the draws that brought me to this location. However, they really need to update their menu because several of the items that I and my dinner mate wanted were not available and the waitress only knew this after she had to go back a nd forth to let us know what we wanted wasn't there! That's not cool, but the waitress was great. I do plan ongoing back and I will bring my family I just don't want to get too attached to the beer drink menu.

Some of the many taps side LBC

With the closure of our unmatched beer Mecca for the area - Palm Harbor House of Beers - a sad sad turn of events... Local Brewing Company, across & up I-19, is now the reigning champ for beer selection in the area with over 50 taps of draft beers. Amazing range of beers to satisfy any beer drinker or aficionado - so many local breweries across TampaBay are represented that you can travel the region with a beer glass! Only thing is the beer selection was very well chosen/curated /varied up front that they do minimal rotation across the selection which HoB used to do so expertly and challenged us with esoteric or unusual beers to try every time we came in. But be that as it may, the draft beer selection is stellar at LBC. LBC also has great sports bar, lots of screens across ample size space and great pub food! Think burgers, flatbreads, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and great daily specials. I had the fish & chips which was perfectly cooked with crunchy batter and hot steaming fish inside -and look at the portions! All in all a great space with lots of music and community events with good bartenders to build a very welcoming environment

What's With the Cocktail Napkins?

I'm titling this review "What's With the Cocktail Napkins?" Read on: I have to echo some other reviews stating the place was understaffed. We experienced the same thing. Apparently, they hadn't considered that a rare warm January night would bring out diners interested in outside seating. Still, other than some long delays, that didn't negatively impact our experience. In the end, our server, Tina, hustled her rear end off, earning her a 100% tip. She deserved it not just for us, but for the other tables she was juggling. I hope those other tables followed suit. As for the food, there was a lot of it. Wife got a turkey club sandwich, which fed her for two nights. I got the 1992 Lightning Burger. TIP: Order this cut in half. The flavor bomb is in the middle of the burger, so if you order it whole, it may take a few bites to hit the flavor you're expecting. I'll do this next time. Wings were typical, fries were excellent. Plenty of leftovers. The question we and many other tables had: Why are the cocktail napkins stamped with the Mariott logo? Nobody had an answer for that. Place isn't owned by Marriott and there's not a Marriott hotel or sister branded hotel within miles. Fun little diversion, I guess. Quick footnote: For a place called Local Brewing Company, they didn't have many local beers available. They were out of just about everything on tap. That might be a supply-side thing, being just after the holidays. If you get Tina as a server, be sure to ask about her podcast.

Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries

I use to come here YEARS ago when I lived near Clearwater and just so happened to recently be on this side of town Monday night! Looks like the place could use a bit of a remodel, looking old now. The food was still amazing :) the raspberry lemonade cocktail was NOT good! Service was okay.. they had bingo going on which was fun. Very spacious, huge inside & outside patio! Probably great for sporting events

This spot has plenty of seating and a nice variety on the menu. The food was decent, not bad, but nothing that really stood out. What did shine was the service, our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and made the whole experience much better.

Huge chicken nachos

We stopped in to watch some college football on Saturday. These guys have a lot of TVs; it's a great place to watch games. We asked and they do have the NFL package too. They have a great beer list which features many locals as well as most of the standards. I ordered the chicken nachos to nosh on during the game. It was huge but a little goupy with a lot of cheese and sour cream. The chicken tasted like it was braised in a tomato sauce then shredded. It was good but I would have preferred it to be grilled and cubed. It was difficult to eat with your hands but it tasted good. My wife ordered a burger which was OK and cooked a little past the medium she ordered. Our server Alana did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to watch games and try other menu items.

Huge Chicago Dog! They forgot the celery salt, but it was still good. The sausage was very good and pickles were like homemade dills.

It has a pretty amazing bakery section when you walk through the back door to enter the restaurant. I was starving and picked the biggest thing on the menu which is the smokehouse platter and you get a ton of food with this platter (Brisket, pulled pork, quarter rack of ribs all served with coleslaw, Texas toast & side of fries.) I thought the price was absolutely amazing because you get all the food for $28.95. Needless to say as starved as I was, I couldn't even finish the whole meal. Our server was Scott and he was pretty amazing and he was training a new hire and I'm sorry but I can't remember her name but she was equally great and explained the menu really well. It's really a bonus that they stay open till 11 PM Thursday through Saturday. So anything you get that is from the BBQ...they bring out this 4 pack of house sauce. I tried each of them and all were great and had their own unique taste. Chipotle White, PD BBQ, Korean BBQ, Carolina BBQ. The Korean BBQ was definitely my favorite. The chipotle white is kind of almost like a mayonnaise in my opinion. The inside while definitely fresh and clean looking...it does have a sort of rustic, actual prohibition older type feel. Would absolutely come back when in town again. Great overall experience here

They do have a cute bar inside if you choose to stop for a drink. The ribs were the worst I have had in my entire life. In fact, before Prohibition, I didn't know ribs could be bad. It's either little meat or juice fall off the bone. The ribs at prohibition have NO meat and what meat exists is SO dried out that you can't get it off in order to eat it. They were completely inedible. The flavor is peppery but no meat comes off the bone. It's like a chew toy for a dog. The rosemary fries are ok. The chicken sandwich is dry and flavorless and the risotto shouldn't be called risotto. Gordon would have a lot to say about that risotto. But those ribs went straight into the garbage. What a huge waste of money. If I wasn't with a group of strangers I would have said something. So much effort was spent on the outside of the building and none on hiring people who can actually cook. I walked out with a $50 tab and still hungry. Major disappointment. I cannot recommend Prohibition Dunedin unless it's only for a drink.

Absolutely adored my…read moreexperience at Bulla Gastrobar -- from velvety dates to robust sangrias, top to bottom this was so good. It's a must try! They offer a prix fixe menu, but we opted for the Saturday brunch menu on the Luna Lounge rooftop, which is packed with incredible options -- tapas, paellas, large plates, sweet plates and charcuterie. The bottomless mimosas were so reasonably priced, this alone is enticing me back. $23 for bottomless mimosas & sangria! They were also incredibly balanced and delicious. The sangria (I preferred the white but both were delicious) was a bright sweetness, and the mimosa was sweet but punchy on the tastebuds! I loved it. Definitely get this. (Pro-tip get the passionfruit mimosa & thank me later!) Ham croquettes had a crispy outer shell with a savory, cheesy inside that completely melts in your mouth with the salt of the crunchy bits of meat. All of that is countered by the sweetness of the fig jam, it's such a great combination of textures and flavors. It was indulgent! The ceviche de jalapeno was a highlight of the day -- such robust and bold flavors. the shrimp and fish were so fresh with the perfect texture and. The lime mixture was divine, I couldn't stop eating it! Tangy, tart and sweet. the heat was light for me but i loved the kick from the jalapenos. The dates were also a homerun -- the way the sweet dates melted into the salty bacon and savory chorizo was fantastic. We also tried the calamari, and it was okay but nothing to write home about. Here's what I recommend: * Serrano Ham Croquettes * Ceviche de Jalapeno * Bacon-wrapped chorizo stuffed medjool dates * Chicken & Waffles w/ rosemary syrup

With our discovery of Bulla Gastrobar in the Hyde Park area, I think our search may finally be over. We rolled into Bulla on a Sunday afternoon a few minutes before the end of brunch. The space is bright, spacious, and stylish, full of tasteful accents inspired by color palettes from the south of Spain. We chose to sit at the bar, which we often do, and we're glad we did because it made the experience almost as much as the food did. Our bartender/server, Nabil, was incredibly helpful from the minute we sat down. He made us a pitch-perfect wine recommendation just in time for Happy Hour (1/2 bottles of wine), suggested we try their Chorizo-stuffed dates (life-changing stuff), and answered our every question with enthusiasm and professionalism. Other highlights of the menu -- their tortilla Espanola (tortilla de patata), their croquettes stuffed with Serrano ham, and their marinated olives, all delicious. And if you've never had it, try their Paleta Iberica -- it's shoulder ham from acorn-fed pigs. Light, lean, melt on your tongue stuff that will ruin you for just about any other ham. We'd never tried it, and now we're always going to look for it. Finally, before we left we had to check out Luna Lounge, Bulla's rooftop bar. Gorgeous spot to enjoy premium cocktails along with Bulla's tapas menu. Next time we go, we're heading straight to Luna, and we're bringing friends!

Friday, January 16, 2026 - Two for a burger bite. Not before the FST show…read more (GOSUB to the **** for the meat/burger of the review ((smile)) ) I have reviewed about 30 restaurants in and around Sarasota since 2021 when we moved down permanently and are members of the FST. On this Friday night, nothing was going right. My wife was delayed at school etc. So then a delayed departure from Venice, a false stop at Mad Moe's for a burger in Osprey (PACKED) and then a direct shot and parking across from FST we hope for a quick burger or something at the bar or restaurant at FST? But it was PACKED and they weren't serving any more???? We threw our tickets in the trash because now we could not make it back in time, (( frown :-( )) So a walk to Main Street to see if Patrick's or anybody might have room for two? NOPE. and we were walking along and THERE WAS BREWSTER's GASTROPUB!!!!!!!!!! For some reason I have 128 restaurants on my Sarasota Favorites list and Brewster's was not on it? I checked them on as I entered??? Looked VERY full at the bar, and most tables were full but it looked like we had a shot...... and there was a four top high-top!!!!!!! WIDE OPEN!! I think the no table service might be the delineator. We weren't looking for a sit down "dining" and full service gig. Nor did we need the overhead and pomp and circumstance of a host/hostess, army of bus staff, a waitstaff and being waited on with drinks and water and etc? ******** We came to EAT GOOD SIMPLE FOOD and have FUN. **** And that's what we did!!! "Todd" at the bar was friendly and fantastic. All the bartenders and staff were helpful and friendly. The "security guy" when he saw me at the bar for about 20 seconds helped me get some ketchup. Zone defense and team effort!!!! I got the signature Brew Burger and a side of Street Corn and had an endless glass of water w/ lemon I think I had Todd fill about 5 times. My wife and I bantered about what the Street Corn would be and we were happily surprised with the authentic Mexican Street Corn (elotes?) on the cob with a stick and a delightful creamy Chile, garlic, and Cotija cheese sauce I think. (problem is we gobble them up before we could figure out the exact sauce composition here. BUT it was very tasty. 10/10 The burger (for this adult usually nutritarian plant-based eater) was EXACTLY what I had hoped for. A wonderfully fresh an warm brioche bun, fantastic angus burger, cheddar and a "secret sauce" . I got lettuce onion and pickles which are standard...... this was VERY VERY VERY tasty. only quip is I will opt for sauce on the side and its was a little too much sauce. This was mega and uber better than some greasy Five Guys or Smashburger or any of that stuff. 10/10 My wife got the Shroom & Swiss Burger that had a wonderful portobello mushroom on it nicely cooked, terrific angus burger properly cooked exactly as we ordered it, she loved the blue cheese perfect amount, She also felt a bit TOO much of the secret sauce, but its pretty tasty so not a catastrophe. This was also an AWESOME burger!! 10/10 The sweet potato fries were not crazy greasy and perfectly crisp but not crunchy for fries - good, cross-cut and obviously bulk bag. Cut or sliced would be nicer but of course not expected, its a side. 7/10 The place is clean and glassware and silverware perfectly clean. The counter/bar service is fantastic. I had to make a few trips for ketchup and place ware and etc but hey when your wife gets one of the better vodka cranberry w/lemon and club in a large tumble for $9 instead of $15 or $16 for a 6 oz martini glass with 4 oz of watery drink........ its a home run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With all the TVs and sports that is probably the summary of my review. Brewster's Gastropub is a Grand Slam for food and service......and especially burgers!!! Bravo Zulu.
