Myself and a friend decided to try this place because it's easy to miss and we didn't want a touristy crowd. We were quite surprised to see how big it actually is. Menu was not huge, but sufficient. We each had sandwiches, which were both good and freshly prepared. I had to take half of mine home. We also split a pitcher of beer, which was fresh and very cold. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere was laid back but social. With the exception of screaming kids that the parents thought were cute, it was an enjoyable night. read more

I've been back several times since my first review. Things have improved substantially. Mick (or Nick) provided excellent customer service, thank you. I have not tried their pizza yet, but I saw two people carry out pizza while I was there. I like their sandwiches...decent size, good price and the coleslaw side was big, cold and tasty. So ...we had been waiting to go here for a while and today we decided to try it out ( we were excited ) . Went in and it wasn't really crowded found seats at the bar . We weren't greeted for a while and felt odd that a couple who came in after us was served before us . The longer we sat there ignored the more we felt not welcomed . We are a same sex couple and really felt like maybe the bartender was saying stay away . Weird . Oh well ...went back to downtown Dunedin and had fun drinks and dinner . We won't be going back. With exception of Danielle, other bartenders noses aren't covered so well with masks. He also is on his phone on and off. This is busy time, should be more attentive. Large restaurant/bar. Has some TVs and some arcade games. Closed roof but had all the doors open to open air. The weather was nice so the breeze was perfect. Run of the mill bar by the beach... a good place to stop for a quick beer. Inside they have a pool table and darts for you to play. Very cool! They offer food which is mostly sandwiches. A perfect beach meal! I plan on stopping by this restaurant when I go to the Dunedin Causeway and need lunch. Much better quality than fast food. Their Cuban was hot and fresh! Expect to let it cool off for a few minutes before your first bite;) Staff was very nice and we were helped by two separate people. It is seat yourself so don't be shy to sit anywhere! I love the location of Hurricane Eddies on the Dunedin causeway. My husband and I like to stop in here to have a few drinks and now they offer food which is nice. The food is only sub sandwiches with chips but it's better than nothing after a few cocktails. The atmosphere is nice with a big bar. read more

This would be 5 star if you are drinking beer and watching sports. I went there for lunch and ordered one of their specialty sandwiches with some type of jelly. The bread didn't seem very fresh and the sandwich was very messy. The kicker was my bill with water was 21.00. I would go back but not for food. Love the big doors can't wait for temps to get back to normal. Prices: ! Yikes! $3.75 for miller lite and $16 for a bucket! Know your competition $14 buckets at Frenchys couple of hundred feet away. Why would I want to pay $2 more for the same product at your place? Need to get some better happy hour and drink special during games at least. Stopped in on a Sunday to check it out. We went to sit at the end of the bar where someone had just left and were told someone was sitting there. So we squeezed ourself into the middle of the bar where there is very little room to move. And FYI when we left after having a drink those people still had not returned to the seats we originally tried to sit at. Ordered a beer and a Jameson. Beer $5 and Jameson $7.50. The rain came and they bum it toned up the open windows to avoid a potential flood zone. People showed up off the Causeway which made the place erupt into loudness. The music on the box didn't help either as people were trying to talk over it. We decided to leave even though it was a down pour because it wasn't comfortable. Too loud, no room, literally had to slide my chair 4 feet backwards to get out. There were several staff working. They weren't rude but they also weren't overly friendly either. When we decided to leave was when one guy showed an actual personality and smiled saying don't leave its raining. At that point we just wanted to go somewhere else. I love the newness. Nice murals everywhere. Cute tropical theme. Parking lot was alright and there is overflow next door. And we love the original Eddies so we were hopeful. But as we drove to a different place we both agreed.... we won't go back. Except for when we were leaving we didn't feel welcome at all. read more

Very clean and new decor, and parking situation is decent, just don't park in front of Brenda's when they are open. The best sandwich is the Brooklyn. THe roast beef is better than Boar's Head and the sandwich is MASSIVE. We split it for 2 people when we go and they don't charge a fee. read more

Wow, wasn't expecting great food and good service. Whoever came up with Build Your Own Sub should be promoted. Publix quality and huge portions. I ate half and gave the rest to my boyfriend with deep regret. I wanted to eat the whole thing. Lots of fresh Boar's Head chicken. Lots of veggie choices that were fresh and perfect on my sub.
