Yea watched the bartender scoop ice with a pint glass. Don't go here. Food is mediocre, would be nice if I hadn't seen that.

We had another Pick Three as last we had sometime back: eggrolls, jalapeño poppers and shrooms…read more Shrooms were way undercooked, poppers were standard Sysco Truck crap...egg rolls the same. At least the latter were not horrible. I'd never pay for it again!!! AJ needs to improve the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen, because it's dropped! Remains less and needs big time improvement!!! Cmon Jonathan! Later on, QB was offered some chicken wings by the lovely owner. She chose hot, and apparently THAT they were! She loved 'em and that was THAT! Fresh, crisp and nicely spiced! Of course as the owner was with us I would expect no less. I didn't want any so I didn't eat any. The girls behind the bar (Jeanie and Maxie) were both fantastic and remembered us. They stayed right on cue with us and had us squared away without much wait. That's the ONE reason I give 3 stars. Drinks are fine; atmosphere even better. Jonathan the owner is fantastic., as is his nighttime manager, Q...I just ask: fix the kitchen and fix half your problems!

In fact once he took a bite, he ate half before I got a picture. The tater tots were nice and crispy. The table next to us got the teriyaki and Jamaican wings and they said they have tried the wings at other places and they prefer them here. So, a sports bar with good food and great service. Alex is our actual server and he is great. It appears as though the servers take care of each other's tables. It's really a great experience. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and there are 12 tvs inside and 2 out. No matter where you sit you can see your game. This is a place we will return next week before we go home. We stayed long enough to order again. Eddie has been our server for the second half and his upbeat personality added to the positive experience here. Based on the comments my husband ordered boneless wings, Nashville Hot and Garlic Parm. They were great! Also, they accommodated my special diet with a delicious grilled chicken breast. What an amazing find. Don't miss this place guys.

I don't eat burgers often, although I love them, so when I do it's gotta be good…read more We went to Engine No 9 for the 4th of July, and it was outstanding! We arrived at 5:30 and it was packed, but a table opened for us within two minutes. The ambiance was awesome, with each table having its own miniTV! Guests didn't have to choose between watching Wimbledon or the World Cup (or anything else they chose). Such a clever idea and probably great for entertaining kids, too. The server was prompt and friendly, and we got our drinks and app ordered immediately. We split the corn dog as an appetizer (felt right for 4th of July), and my husband declared it was one of the best he ever had. A great ratio of the sweet fried dough and salty hot dog. Definitely a reasonable portion to split as an appetizer and still have room for an entree. We got the tomato and corn salad as a side, which was a nice palate cleanser. I got the bacon cheeseburger (sub a pretzel bun, which you can absolutely do) and my husband got the Van Helsing. Both were excellent. He got regular fries and I got sweet potato fries and a side salad, also fantastic. My meal was exactly what I wanted - a classically delicious cheeseburger (I removed the bacon and put it on my side salad, which I highly recommend). My husband's had perfectly cooked garlic cloves and a nice zest with the jalapeños. They also had a great tap list to go wash everything down! We left stuffed but not feeling like we were going to die. It was a wonderful experience for start to finish and we'll be back!

I got the crispy duck wings (and do not know why I didn't take a picture ) but they were very crispy and very good. They came with 2 sauces, which I did not try because they said they were a bit spicy and I don't like spicy, but they were plenty good on their own. I ordered the One Bad Pig with a side of sweet potato fries and of course had to get an extra side of tator tots because I love them. The burger was very good and juice, hard to eat because it's so big, but I managed to do it. The tots were crispy just like I like them and the fries were your typical sweet potato fries but very good. The service was attentive and good and it seemed to be a local crowd and was a nice vibe. It is off the beaten path so not too touristy but the locals know about it so it gets crowded. I highly recommend this place for a burger if you are wanting one!!

As always, a lovely experience with Tracy behind the bar. During this kinda quiet stretch, Denise…read more(aka Mrs Abe) was present working with the bar staff trying out recipes for new summer drinks. So she, Tracy, Verne and a couple more staffers were experimenting etc. I was particularly impressed by a comment made by Denise. When the ladies said one iteration was "good," she replied "How do we go from 'good' to DELICIOUS?" That says volumes about the care and the quality one finds here, at least in MOST instances; see below. It's plain to see that Abe and Denise still put their love into this place. Another example is a new app they had for summer. Basically they're hotdog sliders: 3 small doggies on buns drenched in ketchup and mustard with sides of relish and chopped onions. Tracey gave us one as well as some of the experiments from the summer drink files. Bottom line is the hospitable nature of the place, which is also reflected by the amount of regulars at the bar. Well enough of the backstory: onto other stuff I tried with my Queen Bee. After asking Tracy's opinion (yes: AGAIN) we chose fried pickles. It ain't hard to slice, bread and fry a damn pickle. These were the best fried pickles I've had in years though. I could tell the breading was a mix of cornmeal and flour, so it had a great consistency and ZERO grease! Add Abe's homemade ranch and there ya go; DILL-icious! As for real food...QB only got clam chowder and a house salad. I chose the medallion bites; latter is filet bites w. 'shroom and onion over rice. Filet cooked to order plain, blackened, garlic or teriyaki. I did half garlic, half teriyaki; meh...next time I'm go back to the blackened filet bowl. Chowder had waaaay too much flour and cream. Plenty of clams, but the poor lil bastards drowned by flour since, as marine creatures, they do not drown in water. It needed more bacon too, maybe a lil more tater also. QB wouldn't order it again and I wouldn't either. Meh! Salad was salad...bunch of iceberg with a lil tomato and some shredded cheddar. Ranch dressing is homemade, as we already have stated elsewhere. What sucks about so called house salads is that too many iceberg stems get dumped into the bowl...three in QB's case. Kitchen needs some better QC for my dear QB. I hope Abe and Denise pay attention to THIS so they can take care of THAT. The above won't stop us from returning, but it WILL help us quit ordering certain things and just stay with certain items despite a desire to expand the culinary horizons. If Denise can do it with BOOZE, she and Abe can do it with FOOD, too. Step it up!
