A little gem just off the main street of the Tarpon docks. We stopped in here to listen to some live music on a Saturday night. We really liked the quality of their brews, and we enjoyed the band. Also, they were playing Chive TV on the TV sets; I was unfamiliar with Chive TV prior to this visit, but I liked watching the variety of 5-15 second video clips that Chive TV kept playing. If I find myself in Tarpon Springs I'll definitely visit this place again.

This is my first time reviewing 5 branches but not coming here. The first few times we've come here I was pregnant but now that I'm not I can say for sure I love it just as much as my husband! The beers are always great and they have a pay it forward program for veterans. 5 branches doesn't sell food (except for the occasional hot dog) but Costa's is right next door and they always deliver food right to us at the bar with a smile :) A great stop if you're headed to the sponge docks (or if you want some local beer)

Can I give this small local treasure a gazillion stars!? This brewery is my all time favorite. Not only do they make award winning beer, but between the awesome bartenders, live music, home town feels and the location they offer alternative selections to craft beer as well. They have a yummy sangria that is made by Candice, and wine alternatives for those whom beer doesn't agree with them. On the weekends they have hot dog specials and small munchies, but never get offended if you bring in your own food from many of the sponge dock restaurants around. John Mackin, the bartender is one of my favorite people and can recommend a beer to the pickiest of people. Check out the open mic night on Wednesday, the best of the local musicians always show up and play: it's an amazing show! This is a must stop!

Such a great brewery! We were in Tarpon Springs and - as always - on the hunt for a cool local brewery to hang out and grab a cold one. We ventured into 5 Branches and were SO impressed. First, the place is cool. I love the theme, dedicated to the five branches of the US military. And the decor in the small tasting room is perfect for the seaside town. Next, the beer is solid. I started with a lager and finished with a red IPA. Both were cool, crisp and delicious (especially on a hot day). But the star of the show at 5 Branches was our beertender, aka "Johnny the Greek" (who also would be a strong contender in a Billy Bob Thornton look-a-like contest). He was just fantastic. Humorous, knowledgeable, engaging. He truly loves the brewery, loves his job and attracts quite a loyal following. If I ever pass through Tarpon Springs again I'll make a point to stop in at 5 Branches again. And I hope John is still there slinging cold ones when I do.

On our visit to Tarpon Springs for the Arts and Craft Show, we stopped in 5 Branches Brewing on Athens St. What a great decision. As we walked in, Heather called out a cheery welcome. And she did this for every customer that came in. It's a quaint old time-shaped bar. Tables are available as well as outside seating. We sampled a couple of the beers and although the decision was difficult, we both chose Giggle Shark, a citusy IPA. In addition to a variety of approximately 16 brews, Three Daughters Rose Cider is on tap. If you prefer, there is wine available and a sangria (weekends only). We enjoyed Miss Vickie's sea salt chips and jalapeño flavored too. Food is not sold on the premises but 5 Branches collaborates with local restaurants so you can order in. There are numerous T-shirts to choose from. If you want to take your favorite beer home, Giggle Shark is available in 6-packs. For others, choose a crowler or purchase a beautiful growler. Parking is available in nearby lots. Walk the short distance and check out a variety of small shops on your way. We had a great time, enjoyed our beers and met friendly folks - locals and tourists. We plan to go again soon.

My wife and I had one of their beers (Shark Giggles) at another restaurant and liked it so much we had to find the brewery. We got a flight of a few beers as we always do when we find a new brewery. Every beer in the flight was top quality. The Doggin Wrench was my favorite. So far, we've had five of their beers and well... we'll be back.

This brewery has so much character behind the bar it is unmeasureable. Immediately, greeted with a warm welcome and lots of energy. Smaller in size but not personality and they have a Pay It Forward program for veterans, which I love as Ben and I are both military children. Our beertender kept us entertained with conversation where we learned he was from Chicago, so a Bears fan (a team we Lions fans could do without) and he was super surprised with my knowledge and use of beer terminology which I found entertaining. In their bathroom they have a poster so you can learn how to ask for a beer in about 2 dozen languages. Their beer was also very tasty. I got an interesting combo of strawberry and basil called Hipster Salad. LOL

Opened only six weeks ago, this brewery is the latest addition to Tarpon Spring's craft beer scene. Located on Athens at the Sponge Dock area I am sure it will attract lots of people once the word gets out. On the day we visited, they only have a golden ale from their own kegs, though more will be ready by mid Jan (which is kind of a given when visiting brand new breweries... the beers often aren't ready till weeks after the opening.) They did put together a nice variety of other local beers, from cider to wheat to stout. Place is on the small side. Lots of street parking nearby though you may need to circle around a bit on a busy day to find an open spot. The Brewery's name "Five Branches" refers to the five branches of the military: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard, and the brewery is veteran owned and operated.

FYI the opening times posted on yelp or not correct. Brewery actually opens at noon on Saturday. I will post a picture of their hours. They just opened! Great guest beers and even better brewed beers of their own. The double IPA is a delicious treat. The staff and owners are incredibly nice! The owners are still active military - thank you for your service for our country and making delicious beer for our town.

First time in the new location on Hibiscus St. Lots of character and atmosphere. Friendly people We'll be back !!

Great finding at Tarpon Springs A few beer selection that can keep you entertained while enjoying the shade afternoon outdoors. Now is a norm with the current situation but is always nice to sit and enjoy the view. You have the convenience of ordering food from nearby places as well What a bonus! Friendly staff

Great brewery located in the heart of Tarpon Springs. Five branches refers to the five branches of the military. This is a veteran owned brewery and they strongly support military, first responders, police and firemen. They recently won the 2020 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal in the Imperial Stout Category with Doggin Wrench Imperial Stout and 2020 Very Small Brewing Company and Very Small Brewing Company Brewer of the year. That's a great honor for a first year brewery. They offer live music on Saturday nights. They have a bar and tables inside and an outside area as well. I tried the Standing In a Hammock: Pink Guava Pineapple Milkshake IPA and it was delicious. All the flavor worked so well together. Parking is available on the street but I had to park and walk a couple blocks but it was a beautiful evening. Definitely worth visiting and supporting this local Tarpon Springs brewery.

Tom Terrific here with another honest review…read more Too bad the bartender wasn't honest. I stopped in on a saturday to have a single beer and check this new place out. I was very pleased at how they placed all the TVs, games, tables and bar. As a whole this establishment looked clean and well put together. I noticed the people at the bar next to me ordered food and it came in a nicely arranged plate and the food looked delicious. I ordered a Michalob Ultra draft and it came cold. I told male bartender I was only going to have one drink. I asked the him to take care of my bill and gave him a $5 bill. I saw him go to the cash register. I finished my drink and as I prepared to leave I asked the bartender how much the draft beer was. He said, $4.50. HE NEVER RETURNED MY CHANGE and simply kept the 50 cents without saying a word. I thought that action was pretty ballsy. So whether it's 50 cents or 50 dollars your change should always be returned to you unless the customer says to keep the change. A small grievance - yes. But one that needs to be corrected by the owner. It cost him 2 stars.

We hung out until after midnight, service was insane. Danielle the bartender was coming out from behind the bar to serve us. The owner even made my friends fries after the kitchen was closed because it was the first time we visited. We've been waiting for a place like this in tarpon for years. There's pool, darts, music, football, and they are hoping to bring in live music soon! I have celiac disease and really can't eat most normal food lol, the bartender Danielle was so nice and brought me MULTIPLE bags of chips that were listed "gluten free" so I had something to snack on. We will definitely be back and hope everyone in the area will come and hang out!
