This was by far our favorite brewery in Tarpon Springs on our vacation! Their IPAs were juicy & yummy! The food was BOMB!! We loved the outdoor seating & stage area for the band! Even had a little grass area where you could bring kiddos or pups to play! We also got some T-Shirts, hats, & pint glasses to take home that are our fav! Can't wait to go back!

What a great experience we had! It's mainly outdoor seating and there is a huge play area for kids and a stage for bands. You order and pay from a QR code on your table, then they bring the food to your table. You have to walk up to the bar to order your drinks separately. Neat concept! Our server was very friendly. The food came out really quick and was very good but burgers a bit on the dry side. We got the Brie app- could have been more melty. Then we split the smash burger and brewsky burger. We preferred the Brewsky. Daughter got the Nashville Hot sliders and it was good portions. Their red ale beer was fantastic.

The ambiance is amazing Very chill laid back, we were with our friends and their baby and there was plenty of space on the turf for the baby to play and everyone was super pleasant and chill. The food was really good, I highly recommend the pretzels with beer cheese and shrimp tacos. All the beer is really good, the juice lord was really good , even people who don't love iPas will enjoy it! The service was also amazing, everyone was very attentive and pleasant!

Still the best in food specials that include a beer! Tres Hazy Boi is my all time favorite here. Friendly staff and great indoor or outdoor space. See you Soon!

Great downtown Tarpon brewery with good beers, great food, great open park like back yard with an out door stage for live music! Weekday lunch specials with changing daily entree (Tuesday mahi tacos, Wednesday smash burger, Thursday boneless wings) with home made chips, and beer of choice of draft beer for $12 is a great deal.

Unless you want to be accosted by peoples screaming kids on your Friday night, this isn't the place for you. When I think of a brewery or going out for drinks I don't think about hanging out with families. Kids everywhere! With that being said, it was pretty packed with a live singer out back where most of the kids were. The food is pretty good and they have an ok selection of beer. Another thing to be aware of is how early they close. 10pm on a Friday with everybody being gone by 9:30 Food - I had the brewsky burger with mushrooms, onions, and beer cheese on a brioche bun which was really good. And a beer flight but no German beer as their paper menu had. It was just ok a bit pricey at $15 for 4

Okay, so this is a cool place for multiple reasons. It's family friendly, PET friendly and it's local in Tarpon Springs! Food and drinks are great but my only negative is there isn't a full liquor bar. Just beer and wine.

Excellent brewery just off of the main strip in Tarpon Springs. This place is truly one of the better breweries in the area because of four things they do really well. What are those things? Well hang on...and keep reading! imma tell ya! First---beer. They have a yuge selection of beers. Wide variety, and they are constantly brewing new ones to take place of the old ones. Guest taps, too! Graciously offering sample tastes to make sure you get what you like...nothing worst than getting a pint of a brew ya just don't like. Second---FOOD. I think every good brewery needs good foods...and man they do it will. We've had burgers, we have boneless wings, waffle fries, grilled portobellos, etc. EVERYTHING was delish. idk what kinda magic theyre brewing up in the back...but its working!! Third--atmosphere. The inside is cozy, but comfy in case our awesome florida weather is taking a day off. For those perfect sunny FL days, the outdoor beer garden is one of the best. AMPLE seating all around, lawn games, and a truly ingenious stage made of a storage container that has a fold down deck. Super cool....and they usually have some really talented musicians for just the right ambiance. Fourth--and not last---STAFF. From the GM, to the brewers, to the servers....these are some of the best. They're friendly, attentive, make great suggestions, and always on point. This can make or break a place...and for Sponge City....they're doing our town proud. If you have only time for ONE brewery to hit in Tarpon Springs....STOP HERE. You will NOT be disappointed. Daily specials Tue-Thur where they have tacos, burgers or boneless wings (depending on the day)...so many reason to come here, if you don't, you must struggle with the English language. Get an interpreter...and GET HERE!!

First and foremost...Sponge City Brewing has a very nice variety of beers and they are EXCELLENT. My favorite was the "Chocolate, Orange" porter, Campfire Songs. My wife who is a huge IPA fan absolutely LOVED the "RYE,RYE,RYE,RYE,RYE,RYE IPA". Norman the brew master was behind the bar as well and overheard me talking about my desire for dark beers and gave me a nice sample of their newly brewed stout. GREAT! Caitlyn the bartender was EXTREMELY nice and welcoming. She took great care of us. The vibe is very nice. Whether inside or outside their was just a nice, relaxing ambiance on a beautiful sunny Florida day. Plenty of tables with some green space and a few outdoor games for some fun as well as very conducive for children. Not too many breweries around have their own kitchen, Sponge City does and it too is EXCELLENT. We were there on a Thursday. As of this review, Thursdays is a $12 special for their boneless wings over waffle fries AND a beer! You can't beat that. Especially considering that the wings and waffles were VERY GOOD and large enough to share for two if needed. Bottom line, one of the newer & nicer breweries in the area that you ABSOLUTELY must try. DO NOT pass this one by, either on Alt.19 or even going on the Pinellas bike trail, just a block away.

I passed this place various times, only passed it up because of the limited parking. Finally stopped in and it was so good! There's a few tables inside, mainly set up for the outside. Instead of menus, they have QR codes you scan with your phone to view it. There was a band playing when we went. The service is very fast.

Opening weekend! Crazy busy and good for them. It was a full patio out front and in the back when we got there, not to mention a full bar and only one table left open. Just starting, they had 5 of their own brews on tap, and the rest are guest taps, which some were already kicked. Talking to the beertender sounds like a successful Friday night. They do offer food that you can order right from your phone, but we didn't partake in with this visit. Can't wait to see what is up next and wish them the best of luck!

Great band tonight: Alan Derek. Excellent!!

The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did! I told the two people there they should park their cars nearby so patrons would see them..... Anyway, I'm going back again, but this time I'm bringing friends!

I was sad they didnt have chowder so next time I'll try that and the maine lobster roll. Oysters are from Maine and they were spot on. They do an oyster special on Thursdays and Ill be back for that! Great selection of beers - they brew in house and have some other local ones. They also do flights which is great. Caylen was our server and he was great and knowledgeable. There's also ton of parking in the back. If you like good beers and maine style seafood this spot is for you!

People not only bring their own fur kids but will take a dog out of the shelter for a few hours and bring them out. It's very heartwarming. Inside is clean. It's really chilly for us so if it's not raining we tend to go outside. There is frequent live music as well. You can find lineups on their Facebook page. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and nice!

It was rested in Buffalo trace bourbon barrels, and while the buffalo trace is not very pronounced, you still get the flavor, especially after it warmed a little bit. For a long time, my wife and I have visited 7venth Sun on our numerous trips to the Tampa Bay area... and while we have always stayed in the St. Pete or Tampa downtown areas, we have always felt the drive up to Dunedin was well worth the drive (even if it was about about 45 minutes out of the way). And we loved the beer.... there was something special that other breweries just didn't have. Maybe it was the atmosphere... maybe the always welcoming staff... maybe the small but intimate venue... or perhaps the patrons (always friendly). And then something changed... they opened their Seminole Heights location. For a window of time, it was closer and easier to visit the newer location. I liked this location but it wasn't the same as the Dunedin location. Less social since it was so spread out; I missed being at tables that we shared and bumping shoulders to the point that we sparked conversations with strangers (part of the beer experience; like a first date on every visit). Now that Seminole Heights in closed (which I am sorry to hear), I am excited that we finally we forced to drive back to this original location... didn't mind the drive and absolutely loved the beer, the vibe, the people; all of it.
