Mike has years of previous brewery operating experience, starting a very well known Florida brewery in 2012. Erin is the CEO of Thirsty Buffalo and leads the operations team there. Their head brewer is Joel Moore and he has 20+ years of brewing experience. It was a pleasure to hang with Dylan and Gabi who were working and saw asst Brewer Scott doing his thing is the brew house. Thirsty Buffalo has a nice patio area out front and a spacious modern garage brewery feel inside. Unfortunately, on a later visit I ended up with the same male bartender again. I ordered a cocktail and politely asked if he could make it a little sweeter. His response was, "We make it how we make it." I told him that was completely fine and just asked if he could make it slightly sweeter. He replied, "I'll try." The drink came out with no sweetness at all, and it honestly didn't seem like any effort was made to accommodate a simple request. I don't expect every request to be possible, but I do expect friendly customer service and a willingness to help when it's something so minor. There was such a small amount of lettuce that I actually took everything apart and photographed the ingredients separately just to show exactly how little food was included. I contacted the restaurant directly before leaving this review because I wanted to give them the opportunity to address it. I was told that the only things that appeared to be missing were two tomatoes, a couple pieces of cheese, and maybe a little lettuce. So essentially, what you see pictured is what they consider an acceptable $16 large salad. Only after I said I was going to post a review was I told I could come back and get another salad. But that completely misses the point. I don't want another salad. The point is that you are charging customers $16 for this portion and apparently consider it acceptable. I wasn't trying to get free food or an extra salad. I simply expected to receive what I paid for. If this is truly the standard portion, replacing it doesn't solve the problem. The problem is the value. I've supported this restaurant, recommended it to other people, and sent customers their way, which makes the response even more disappointing. Unfortunately, they've lost my business, and I certainly won't continue recommending them. If this is their idea of a $16 large salad, customers deserve to know what they're paying for before they order. Charging $16 for this amount of food is pathetic. Edit: I translated my English to Spanish since the manager spoke Spanish when I called and needed another employee to translate. No issues with that, just tried to assist in the language barrier.
