    Dining room

I've drove by many times and finally stopped in. They have a nice bar area as well as a casual dining area. Gelato counter too! I was welcomed warmly as soon as I entered. I ordered chicken piccata with grilled veggies rather than the pasta Alfredo that usually accompanies it, this cost an extra $2.50. The chicken was very tender and cooked well but somewhat bland. Very faint lemon flavor and the capers had little flavor as well. The focaccia bread that comes with meals was tasty and served with herbed oil. They have a varied menu and I'm looking forward to giving some of their other offerings a try perhaps today was just an off day.

This is not rated highly enough on Yelp. The most friendly atmosphere, with kind customer service and real attentiveness. I loved the happy hour appetizers- bruschetta was fresh and delicious, full of garlic. The fried mozzarella was full of flavor and stringy cheese. The minestrone soup was gobbled down in a couple bites. Caesar salad was crunchy and zesty. The main dishes were also a delight. Can't really pick a favorite- enjoyed the lasagna and the pizza! Remember- it is all being served quickly and with family style love! A real gem. For dessert there are incredible options as well. Chocolate dipped strawberries, coconut cake, cheesecake, tiramisu, a multitude of gelato flavors. Great kids options for food. And for all the rest of the stuff that's needed to go to a restaurant with kids, they have you covered there too. Both men and women's bathrooms have fully stocked change tables. It's not often you see that level of care. Hurry, go check them out now. :) you won't regret it.

    MONDAY - Chicken Capriciossa
    Cassy N.

Never been here before, but I really liked it! It is a fast casual italian restaurant but with higher end dishes. It was a bit pricey but the meal I got I think was worth the price. I had the Monday special, the chicken capriciossa with fettuccine & tomato cream sauce. The pasta and the focaccia bread was my favorite part! Wish they had more white wine, they had a great red selection. The bartender Cody was a nice kid and got everything to me quickly. I'd definitely go back to try the pizza.

thought it was great food till i had the chicken parm. it was while i was eating that I realized the chicken isn't smelling like chicken and it looked really different. I tested to see if flys would eat it aswell but they didn't

Nearly broke a tooth on a rock in my Chopped Italian Salad

The food looked great but portions are so small for the price. The Chicken Parmesan the chicken was huge but.... pounded so thin it was tasteless. Then there was not much pasta with this $24 dinner. The salad was large & flavorful except I bit into something very hard, like a rock. I've added pics. For $24 the entree does not come with salad, garlic bread, soup, nothing.... barely even any pasta with this paper thin tasteless chicken. I've added pics of that as well. The Chopped Italian Salad is large but it's not worth $19. The Side of Meatballs was decent. The meatballs were good. That was probably the best part of our order. The salad would have been except I nearly broke a tooth on a rock in the salad. The salad seemed fresh, the little pasta we had was cooked al dente' there were just only about 10 noodles with a teaspoon of sauce. Please see photos as it is comical the prices versus portion sizes from this restaurant.

In a crowded food space, Mandola's can hold its own! I heard about Mandola's from a friend but the "chain" aspect threw me a bit. When we moved to Tampa we agreed to stop dining at chains as much as possible. Our visit tonight gave me "Little Italy" vibes in the best possible way. Greeted by a lovely hostess, we were offered full service bar seating or easy counter service. We opted to order at the counter and it gave us time to cruise the dessert case. Our pizzas were perfectly crispy and the fried cheese was a gooey and crispy at the same time. We enjoyed complimentary bread and dipping oil. We tried to save room for dessert but in the end, cried "Uncle". Nah... we just took it "to go". Whether dining in or take away, you will feel like you've just eaten at Mom's house for Sunday dinner.

I love Mandola's! I love Italian food in all it's many forms and styles, so it's nice that I don't get the same thing everywhere I go. I may love lasagna, but that honor generally goes to Carrabbas when I want it. Here, at Mandola's I love their Mezzeluna Modo Mia along with their Italian Creme cake. So when I found a Mandola's located right here in Oldsmar, I was so excited that I didn't have to go all the way to Carrollwood or even Riverview just to get my fix. The interior is warm, colorful, and inviting, just like the other locations I've been to, so it was nice waiting for my to-go order. It's not as big as Carrollwood, which is okay since I already know what I want anyway. My food came out rather promptly, and when I arrived home, everything tasted perfectly hot and fresh. I love how I got it with a side of the parmesan cheese for the pasta and olive oil for the focaccia bread. For the perfect, finish, none other than their unique, Italian Creme cake! Love how I have a new Mandola's to swing by for my faves!

How are the portions for dinner? As well as the food

Portions are quite nice....BUT..do not get the hot sandwiches, unless you like well done sandwiches...garlic bread for $6...not good. To me the saving grace was the house side salad..great dressing on a cold crisp salad..and the gellato.

Avoid their Phillips 66 (Motor Oil) brew. It is one of their first brews they did that sucks. it is a porter and It tastes awful but they improved with a wider selection of new brews to try. Why I subtract three stars: 1.) McKrakken is served in a tiny 10oz sniffer, serious beer drinkers need more. Offer a 12 or 16 oz and toss out that sniffer as we are not drinking any wine or liquors just beer. This is a price gouge compared to Cigar City's Florida Man and Coppertail's Unholy at their locations that serve 12 oz glasses at the same price. Also, I can buy six packs far cheaper at any liquor or grocery store. But, you can't beat fresh draft brew. Check out their prices on their crowlers and growlers. Totally outrageous. Avoid. 2.) Those picnic tables in their beer garden are the most UNCOMFORTABLE I ever sat on! They SUCK! I believe in my butt's comfort so I may bring my own lawn chair next time! Others have brought square pillows to sit on. Adults have a hard time getting into and out of those tables. WTF! They have a section in their beer garden with games such as bean bags on AstroTurf. People brings their kids and dogs, some are well mannerd but expect some unrully screaming kids running around. 3.) Excellent location but there is nowhere to park unless you like to walk a couple blocks away. The solo musicians are a great thing to have. I like the elevated shipping container they turned into a stage in the beer garden. They once used it for their storage when they first opened.

The space has been beautifully updated and now feels contemporary, romantic, and much more like an upscale dining destination. The new bar is especially inviting, and I can easily see my husband and me stopping in just for drinks and happy hour. Speaking of happy hour--it was one of the highlights of our visit. The appetizer and drink selection is excellent, and even the house Chardonnay (which I almost never order) was surprisingly delicious. Our favorite dishes were the pizza, which was exceptional, the burrata salad, and the artichoke appetizer. All three were standouts and are absolutely worth ordering again. We split the Bolognese. While it was enjoyable, it tasted more like a classic spaghetti and meat sauce than the rich, slow-cooked ragù I typically expect from a traditional Bolognese. It wasn't bad by any means--I simply think this is one recipe that could be elevated to match the quality of everything else we had. I also want to give a special thank-you to our server, Michael. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helped make our evening enjoyable. Great service always makes a difference, and he did an excellent job. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. If you've been hesitant because of the overall rating, I'd encourage you to give Martin's a try.
