Came for taco Tuesday and line dancing! It's every Tuesday night 7-8pm and so fun! Their tacos were 3 for 8 bucks I think but they were actually really good! Clean place, dark inside but they have a tiki bar outback too. Pool table inside, tons of bar seats and tables. TouchTunes music. The rock music was a tad too loud for me though. This place is never a disappointment, from the friendly bartenders to the food, you can't go wrong! I got the BLT and I can honestly say it's one of the best in town . My husband got a burger which we've never tried before here, and it's huge! Juicy and you will definitely need two hands. A little messy but how can you complain when it's so good. I can also say their potato salad is delicious . My husband got the french fries again very generous with the portion. With everything going on so glad they are still in business. Dark and a little grimy but just what you'd expect. No complaints, my wings were decent!

We love the convenience of Hennessey's, and I like their chicken wings... Sadly, I most likely won't be back. Staff is super friendly, and like I said, the food is good... But they are a bar that allows smoking inside (why is this still a thing in Florida?? We are a "clean indoor air" state!). I always go in and out as quick as I can, but my clothes wreak of cigarettes and it's not worth it. And to top it off, the wings ARE pricey. I can get 8 amazing wings up the road at Cuban Breezes for $6.99, compared to the 10 for $16 at Hennessey's. Sorry guys, made the decision after dropping in last night. read more

Great bar with friendly people. They just relocated to Tampa Road, and the new place is much cleaner. The taps are full of most major craft beers plus the usual domestic suds. If you need hard liquor or wine, it's available. The food is typical bar grub. I haven't sampled it, but it looks good when you're drinking. Live music every weekend and some weekdays. Warning: It is a smoking establishment but they have an outdoor patio if you need fresh air. Ample parking and the restrooms are clean. read more

So the building inside is nice. That is all I have to say that is positive. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon greeted by a wall of gross cigarette smoke that smelled like it was from the 60's. The bar was packed with 50+ somethings that were chain smoking like they had one foot in the grave already. I cannot believe they actually serve food in this place and allow smoking. It was about the most disgusting place I have ever been in. It is really big on the inside and could be such a great place but given the clientele they are serving it won't be changing anytime soon. The patio is decent but the 2 people sitting out there had empty glasses and I am guessing they had to walk inside to get refills. Went to eat there the other night. Ordered boneless bbq wings. When I got home I had the worst stomach pains and throwing up. I called to let them know and they said the manager was out or too busy and they laughed at me. I had to go to the urgent care where they put an Iv in and took blood and urine sample. He stated I definitely had food positioning. They charged me $50. All they had to do was say they were sorry it happened and comped my meal and I wouldn't be writing this. If you're looking for a great place to eat and drink and doesn't make craft cocktails. This is the spot. They have a little bit of the fancy liquors and if you're a smoker you can smoke inside. If not keep in mind that they smoke inside and there are tables outside where they have no ashtrays. Their breakfast can't be beat. It is what you'd expect breakfast to be eggs, meat French toast, bagels and weekly specials. Plus a lot of the classic breakfast foods can be ordered a la cart and you can create your own breakfast meal for less than $7. Hennessy's is a bar first so no kids allowed. The prices really are good and the staff is super. They get super busy super quickly too. They have a lot of regulars and don't let them scare you away. They're open 8am-3am 7 days a week. They also serve alcohol during those times as well. I've eaten breakfast here twice so far had have a lunch and dinner here too. Okay, so Hennessey's isn't going to win any major culinary awards, but let me just state that for a greasy-spoon-bar, they have some damn good food. Working at United Healthcare in Oldsmar, employees order from this place all the time, mainly because it's close and they deliver. So after a while, I jumped on the bandwagon and too began ordering lunch from this place in '06. One day a few years later, I decided to actually drive to them and eat there. When I arrived, I was shocked to see this hole-in-the-wall bar. When I walked in, the place was packed with individuals in the 35+ age group all sitting around guzzling beers and smoking cigarettes. The air was quite thick with cigarette smoke, actually. I couldn't believe this was the place that was churning out some of my favorite lunches--but it was. So I sat down, ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a Blue Moon and enjoyed every bite! This place truly is Oldsmar's hidden lunchtime secret. Chicken Philly - Large enough for two to split, comes with a generous portion of steak fries. Chicken Caesar salad - Massive with seemingly more chicken than lettuce. The chicken is also hot off the grill, which is a nice contrast to the salad's cold temperature. And it's the only salad I've ever seen that comes with a whole tomato. Very tasty and very big. Probably one of my favorite Chicken Caesars. Chili - Their chili is amazing. It's home made and not some crap out of a jar or can. If you're feeling frisky, get the chili cheese fries! Also, once a year, they host a chili cook-off. Wings - Very, very good stuff with their wings. Honey BBQ is the way to go. Not as good as McDivot's but just as edible! Hungry for breakfast? There is no sign that says this, the bartender was just lazy and worried that we might sneak drinks to the only person under 21. He was wrong and because of this will never get business from us. Went off of the reviews but then thought to myself these reviews are pretty old. They drop off menus at work all the time so a coworker and I figured we would give them a shot. The photo of the chicken philly on here made my mouth water so ordered it with fries for lunch today. The chicken philly was nothing I expected. The reviews said it was huge like cant eat the whole thing huge and that was not the case. The chicken was almost flavorless and if it wasn't for the cheese, onions, peppers and mound of hot sauce i added it would have been pretty horrible. The fries were skinny and dry with no salt but edible (bc i added salt and ketchup). My co worker ordered the chicken fingers and was very upset because they were $7 and flat. I don't want to sound rude but unfortunately i will never order from there again. I wasn't sure how they got 4 stars but then realized they only had 4 reviews. read more

Great locals bar. Everybody seems to know each other and the staff. Drinks aren't skimped on. Pretty big menu for bar food. I've had the boneless chicken, the hamburger, and the pizza. All good, my favorite was the burger all the way. Tang is a great shot and huge.They still allow smoking so if you smoke it's heaven. Hennessy's is my "S.O." (satellite office) I've been coming here for over 20 years, If you don't like smoke, but do like over-priced crappy drinks, then this is not the place for you!
