Great Pizza. Great cheesesteaks. I was a Westshore fan but this is sooooo much better.

When our regular Pizza places quality started to decline we searched for a new spot and found Zerillo's on Yelp! We always do the build your own and love that you can customize left/right side of the pie. We've never eaten inside, but when we order take out it is always ready when they say it will be. The ingredients are fresh and there is a nice selection of toppings to choose from. They also have salads, wings and some other items. read more

The pizzas are baked fresh and the menu offers plenty of variety, but the New York-style execution misses the mark if you're familiar with true NYC pizza. I always get excited when there's a chance that a local pizza place takes me back to my pizza roots in NJ & NY. Zerillo's is a nice looking restaurant. The waitress we had today gave great service & was very personable. We each ordered their lunch special of a couple slices of pepperoni pizza & a drink for $8. The pizza arrived piping hot. The pizza folded just like NYC pizza should. The crust looked perfect. To me, getting the crust right is the hard part. So Zerillos nailed that. Unfortunately the other ingredients fell totally flat. The pizza sauce was flavorless. Not once could I even tell it was there. The cheese was super flat & tasteless as well. Finally, the pepperoni was ALSO lacking flavor. I am really not sure how this is all possible. Like I said, the hardest part is getting the dough right. And Zerillos did an amazing job there. But the rest of the ingredients were super dull & super flavorless. This is all fixable with better ingredients, but for now the amazing dough & crust are like an empty canvas waiting on better potential. read more

Gave this place a second chance. Ordered one pizza from their website for pick up. When I arrived they said I ordered 3. My confirm was only for one but they charged for 3 and refused to do anything about it. I took the one pizza and left the others on the counter. I got with my credit card company and had the other 2 charged back. Should have had all of them charged back because the pizza was so bad my dog wouldn't even eat the crust. read more

Well, this review starts off on a negative note. NO, not about Zerillo's, but about ANOTHER Italian place I attempted to go eat at (THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED, that I could tell you is maybe twice the price as here, and that's all I'll say about it) which turned me away, so on my way back home seething a little, I stop here. And my night turned around. This is a cute little spot, that's like a lot of fast casual New York style pizzerias, and VERY good. The interior is bright, welcoming, and overall very clean. The girl at the counter was cheerful and greeted me upon arriving. She told me to expect my food in about twenty minutes (well, it was more like twenty-three, but who's counting, right?) I was definitely in the mood for Italian, but nothing overly fancy, just simple good, comfort food. I went for their baked ziti and had a side salad with it. Since the food's reasonably priced, I added some wings to the order for my partner. I live sort of a long way from Oldsmar, but the food was still fresh and hot, and the salad crisp, when I got back. I REALLY loved the ziti! There was a good ratio of ricotta, mozzarella, and actual tomato in it (not heavy marinara with little cheese like I sometimes get with ziti). I had a nice creamy texture to it and the pasta was perfectly cooked. It's a huge portion, so I divvied it with my partner, and had the side salad which was just the right size, all fresh and crisp. Cute little pizza place in an almost deserted strip mall in Oldsmar. The guy at the register was extremely nice and friendly. I ended up going with their lunch special (which I loved was still available on weekends). I got one slice of cheese pizza, and the side caesar salad with balsamic dressing instead of caesar dressing, plus a fountain soda. I sat at one of the three booths available, and had my salad quickly in front of me. The pizza was warmed up, then brought out to my table. Both were really good. The salad tasted fresh, and the cheese pizza had a great flavor. I'm never in this area, but if I were, this would be on my pizza pie rotation. read more

I come here on Fridays for lunch during work. I always get their lunch special which is two slices of pizza with a drink. The food always comes really fast and it's a nice, cozy joint. The pizza is really good - thinner, crisper crust with that perfect blend of cheese. I always look forward to my Friday lunches at this place. read more

Their pizza is so thin that when you take a slice the cheese falls right off. Someone needs to teach them how to make a pizza. And they close at 9 pm Monday thru Thursday and Friday till 10 pm. Who closes a pizzeria so early, especially on the weekends. read more

Amazing pizza, pasta and fresh salads!! My family and I's favorite pizza is combo is a large cheese pie with ricotta on top. Their pasta dishes like the penne alla vodka and carbonara are incredible as well. The pastas come with a salad of your choice, house or Caesar. My favorite is the Caesar salad! Jason, the owner , really puts his heart and soul into everything he makes. The staff is attentive, personable and professional. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. The vibes are good and you'll always have someone fun to talk to whether you're at the bar or at a booth or table. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bourbon selection is excellent. read more

The food is great, so glad that the owner decided to come back to Tampa and open a restaurant. The pizza and calzones are very well made and full of cheese and your choice of toppings. Yelp brought me here. Cute, clean & NY style ambience kept me here. Walk up counter, disco party lights on you as you walk in the door and stand in line, so you can place your order like the rockstar you are! ;) There's a small table top & 4 bar stool seats up against the front windows & 3 booths for an exclusive group of those that get a seat. When I walked in, there was one booth with two people occupied. Someone walked in right before me to place a to go order. 15 min wait. Not bad at all for a walk in. Numerous people came in, one after another to pickup orders placed over the phone. Which btw, continued to ring while I was there. Good sign! Soon enough, the 2 other booths and 3 of the bar stool seats were filled. Looking good Zerillo's! I asked for recommendations from the handsome & kind gentlemen taking my order & he said he really liked the chicken parm sub or meatball sub, which also came with a salad (I think?). Sorry I'm an ASKhole because I didn't take his recommendation. HA! I asked if he thought the wings were good? He said they were good and crispy because they fry them. I chose garlic Parmesan, but they also have buffalo hot & medium, bbq (I think) & teriyaki something. I also ended up ordering a pizza. Because, well, New York pizza was already on my mind. Btw, I didn't realize I could've ordered a slice of pizza y'all! I saw a sign for a slice special outside, but it was for lunch, between 11-3pm (btw) so I thought that was only for then! They brought my food out in to go boxes, which, I guess I didn't ever say that I was eating there. But, no harm no foul. I honestly knew I was going to take most of it back to the hotel anyway, so that worked out. (I ended up eating 2 wings and 2 slices) The chicken wings were in fact, crispy. They were swimming in what I assume was olive oil? Parmesan for sure, and the garlic, I honestly didn't taste as much. They weren't bad at all though. There was a good amount of meat on them, they were steaming hot, and the ranch that it was served with them was good too. The star of the show, the pizza, was not thick, and really more on the thin side. Which I personally like & prefer. The sauce was yummy. The cheese was good and the toppings were great. It was steaming hot, which is why I honestly wanted to eat it there. There's just something about eating a fresh pie out of the pizza oven. Yummm!!! Oh! They also serve wine, beer, some seltzers, and I overheard some regulars they were talking to say that they're excited for the expansion. From the outside, you can see there's a space right next-door to them that they're going to be taking over. There will definitely be more indoor seating. I also heard them say they're going to have a TV too so you can watch your sports or whatever might be on, and of course to enjoy some adult beverages, sodas for those that prefer, and you can't forget some yummy fresh and delicious food! Cute little spot! I was pleased with the food too. Will definitely come back to try some of their other menu items. Friendly service is always appreciated! For quick service and to go, it was fine. We tried to call twice. One time we got a person who put us on hold and never came back. Next time the phone rang busy. We had told the gentlemen at check out who came to match the voice. All he did was laugh and say nothing else. Other than that experience, it was reasonably priced. Note- this is not just a quick service. There is a whole restaurant in the other side that was packed with a full liquor bar. Can't wait to check that out in the future. read more

I give this new pizza place a solid 4 stars . We ordered 4 types of pizza to try out the selections . margarita, meat, lovers, Zerillos special , and cheese with grilled chicken. All were excellent , plentiful toppings with fresh ingredients. We didn't realize thr Pizza size was so large . If you can imagine a Costco size pizza, it is about that size . Their medium is almost like a large size at papa johns. Better to over order and have leftovers. The garlic knots were soft and freshly made. Usually I don't enjoy garlic knots because it's either too chewy or hard. We also ordered the garlic Parmesan Chicken wings and they used fresh garlic. Wings are juicy and not over cooked. Antipasto salad was also a favorite , meats and cheese were cut bite sized . You can tell effort went into making the dishes and this is what sets them apart from other establishments. Finally! A good NY style pizza place! We order here regularly and had been waiting months for them to finally open. Quaint little spot and gorgeous on the inside. Kitchen is open and you can watch them make your pie if you want. Pizza is top notch and true NY style pizza, only thing they're missing is the water! We've had most of their other things and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Stromboli and Calzones are both huge and nicely priced. read more
