Good food, especially the garlic shrimp appetizer! Reasonably priced wine. Very friendly service read more

Meh - it was ok. Walked in and was sat at a table but then told they had a reservation for that table. We moved without a problem but no one ever came for that table. Ordered what we hoped would be a good meal, Steak Fritas. Well steak was tender but NO flavor. If it was not for the butter it would have been the blandest steak I have ever had. Not worth the cost. They also would not sub out the side for Mac and cheese, which I can see an up price but they would have charged the full price for the side. Would I come back, not likely. read more

I've been to Sip 85 several times and generally speaking, the food is good, but it can be hit and miss. My most recent experience was an overcooked steak... It was ordered medium rare, but It was definitely more on the medium to well side - one of the people I was with also got the steak, medium rare and it was cooked perfectly so you just never know. The service is always great and they have an incredible wine selection, with wine specials on Wednesdays for wind down Wednesday. They're located inside of a strip mall, but parking is generally not too far. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, I recommend making a reservation because they can't get very busy. read more

Nice drinks and chill vibe at Sip85. Service was good though a bit slow when it got busy.

Excellent service and selection highly appreciated and recommend. I am a customer visiting the area. I am a craft beer fan. Great choices. I even got a crfaft from Kilkenny Ireland. Worth looking for if near Tampa. read more

Ambiance is nice but it is a very dark lighting restaurant. They asked if we had a reservation but they weren't busy so we were sat right away. The Mac and cheese tastes was the best I love truffle Mac and cheese reminds me of the flavor of salt rock I got the steak Frites wagyu sirloin and fries I liked it steak was a bit chewy but over all good the Brussels sprouts were good think I just prefer whole over shaved service was good our server was nice nothing extra. They have wine specials and beer on tap but no liquor. read more

Sip 85 is a great place to gather for locals. Not sure if it's a place I'd return to (neither good nor bad - just out of my way) but the meal was good, service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Lil pricey, but Good place overall. read more

We saw nothing but positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. The restaurant sits in a plaza and not hard to find. It's definitely a wine bar, with a long bar and several tables for diff size parties. Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable. A new waitress took great care of us. For appetizer, we had the short rib meatballs. It was served with 1 small scoop of ricotta and a few pieces of bread (a bit mushy) but was delicious. For dinner we ordered the seafood couscous and the chicken paillard. The couscous was cooked perfectly, but the seafood was not really fresh. The chicken was very thin, crispy on the corners and a bit overcooked, which made it dry. It was served with arugula and sun-dried tomatoes and neither helped with making the meal moist. It was disappointing to say the least. I hope it was just an off night and we'll give it another shot in the future. read more

We were late for our reservation and they were very accommodating. We had the Blackened Snapper- it was a special and it was excellent! The Ahi Tuna Stack - Amazing- very delicious. The Burrata Crostini was delicious- although we expected it to be warm- and it was cold - still delicious. The Wedge Salad was made with Romaine as I prefer it is more nutritious- it was so good. Lamb sliders- very delicious! The Ambiance was nice and the place- and our server was nice- we also got a bottle of red wine and it was perfect for the evening. Coming from a Plant City the only problem was the drive- wish it was closer. read more

Was asked if I had a reservation with only 1 other table being used then given a choice of 2 in front or back. Then stayed empty through our dinner. Food was good and tasty . A bit pricey. read more

Been here a couple of times... food marginal.... service fine.... I think the owners are just playing at being restauranteurs...

Great restaurant located in a strip mall in Palm Harbor. There's a very nice inside dining room, long bar and a few patio tables. They have happy hour specials. The food really was fantastic. We started with the Brussels sprouts appetizer with bacon, truffle aioli, shaved parmesan. The Brussels sprouts were shredded so they were easier to eat and were really delicious with the bacon and parmesan. For our meals we had the grouper special with a beurre blanc sauce, green beans and sun dried tomatoes and a quinoa and brown rice medley and the Double cut pork chop 16 oz with a maple glaze. They were both absolutely delicious. The pork chop was a good size portion but I would've wanted a little bit more grouper for the price. For dessert we had the salted caramel cheesecake which was divine. We sat at the bar, great service. They are open 4-10pm Monday through Thursday and 4 to 11 Friday and Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.. read more

All things are awesome... food, service and staff !! Very consistent regardless of when you go!!

This spot is the place to be in this area! Recommend the beggars pouches, the charcuterie and the caprese salad. Flavorful, and fresh - especially those pouches to start! The Brussels sprouts are also the lightest most fluffiest and flavor filled vegetables. The first time we went the server was knowledgeable and let us try some of the wines before we committed. Once we described what we liked, he was able to pair us with a perfect wine... x2. We went back later in the week and had the pleasure of being served by the owner! He was knowledgeable, personable and kind. He gave us nothing but awesome recommendations and even surprised me (per my request with my last glass!). Every wine is perfectly chosen and delivered so beautifully. Strongly recommend trying this gem yourself. Call ahead so you're guaranteed a seat. read more

This was our first trip to Sip85. We got there at 5:45 and of the 10 or so tables 2 were seated. The gentleman asked if we had a reservation which we didn't so he told us we could sit at the bar or outside. We chose outside. Over the hour that we were there only 2 other couples showed up. Not sure what the issue was with seating us at a table but that was not very accommodating when it was 92 degrees out. For food, the Caesar salad was a salad. My wife really liked the shrimp appetizer but the chicken dish had higher expectations than it achieved. It wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. I expected a lot more from a restaurant that only had 4 main dishes. Overall it is questionable if we go back. read more

I've been eating at Sip 85 since they opened. The food has always been awesome; the Short Rib Meatballs (I am not much of a meat eater) are incredible. Last week I ate the delicious Tuna Stack. But last night my meal was beyond extraordinary. I dined on the Blackened Snapper, broccoli rabe and rice. I first thought I would take half of it home, instead, my plate looked like I had licked it clean. The Chef is a most talented person who is a winner as is his food. read more

I really wanted to love this place and had high hopes from the lovely welcoming from the hostess that turned in to being our server. We love meatballs and almost always try them when it's a first visit so imagine our disappointment when these ones weren't anything special. The fact they have them as an appetizer and main dish led us to believe different. The red sauce was plain and not all that great. The steak was the best thing we had but it was undercooked and as you can see they don't really care too much about plating as they didn't let it rest before slicing it and didn't clean the plate before serving it. The potatoes were the most disappointing part of the meal. When you see "daily mash" one would assume they make them fresh. These were instant potatoes that I wouldn't even eat at home. For the $90 price tag for a bottle of wine and two mediocre meals we will not be returning. Our server was truly amazing though and for that I give it 3 stars. read more

Great food - we sat at bar and had a bottle of red Zinfandel -it was excellent, and if I was sponsored, I'd even share the name of it. Great place tucked away in Palm Harbor. We go frequently. Rather small so don't assume you will get a table.

Fantastic wine bar that has amazing food. Quite the selections of wines by the glass, an outstanding menu and great desserts. Service was perfect. Can get a bit festive inside at times, but not too loud for having a great time! Makes me wonder why I waited so long to come here. read more

Went to SIP85 for a Birthday celebration for my wife. Made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive. This is in followup to my review yesterday. Again I start off by saying the food is great. Today the manager reached out to my son to explain the miscommunication on th reservation and to offer and very kind and appreciated olive branch. He really went above and beyond in fixing the issue. We will be back and so should you all. The food is the true experience and they always do it right. Thank you read more

Very good food. Little on the pricey side, so if you are on tight budget, save up for a special occasion. Service is acceptable.

Every time we go for a bite it's special we love everything about this place. the food the service is a 5

I admittedly had low expectations. The restaurant is in a very unassuming plaza in suburban Palm Harbor. But it was excellent. Had a delectable crusted chicken that I custom ordered. Was so happy. read more

Always Al way a great place. Service was wonderful and food as usual was great. What else can I say, good selection of wine of course.

They are consistently good in service, food and wine. What more can you ask for? Nice intimate place to unwind with friends.

phone most definitely ate first but not for long, as you can see the Caesar salad pic is a bit shaky sip85wtf - with my lovie pictured is the 8 oz filet medium with house mash, asparagus and garlic butter mac and cheese which is a must grab. An unexpected sophisticated Friday night hang out!! We love wine, and Sip85 had an extensive wine selection! The food was great too, we started with truffle fries and then had the pork chops for the main course. I thought it was perk to get to take the bottle home with you from your wine selection as well. This place has amazing eats! We were lucky enough to have a great server (Thomas) that was willing to provide recommendations, otherwise we weren't sure where to start! First of all, their wines were smooth, full of flavor, and reasonably priced! The roasted brussel sprouts had good flavor. They were pretty much shredded, which was a nice change, and very crispy...topped with bacon and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Make sure you get a bite that includes everything & you'll be happy to eat your veggies! The wings are about as good as they get: crisp, not breaded, excellent spice, and served on top of a special aioli for fun. Really good. Now let's talk tuna. Their sesame seared tuna is nothing short of amazing. I dare say this is the best tuna I've ever had. The outside is crisp with a perfect amount of sesame seeds while the inside is deep purple, melt in your mouth, delicious. It's a small portion for $21 but the quality makes it SO worth it. It's served on a bed of Asian slaw that is swimming in some scrumptious soy sauce mixture that I liked so much I wanted to drink! Desserts were right on par too. The desserts are brought in from JJ Gandy's or Mike's Pies. The salted caramel cheesecake was yummy! It was topped with a thick piece of chocolate covered bacon. Chocolate covered bacon is weird for me, but it didn't ruin the dish. I really can't wait to go again. I had planned to get the filet for dinner but glad I listened to the recommendations because the food was simply outstanding! read more
