Fishes!! Yum!!
Mike M.

We visited on Fish Tuesdays, which is a great time to visit. Their fish is lightly breaded (awesome) and fresh and flaky. Like some people I know. The potato petals (hard to call them fries as they're a cut above anything I've ever seen in potatoe form) were hot and tasty. Like one person I know. And their coleslaw had just the right amount of tanginess to it, and was a perfect compliment to our meal. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Lisa...she made our visit even better by being congenial, friendly and efficient. Def a must visit when in Tarpon Springs. They've got ample seating inside and out, and are right on the trail for trail side spectating.

Greek fries

The harvest salad was huge and had plenty of toppings. I loved how the cranberries and nuts paired with the bleu cheese and apples. The Greek fries were also delicious and very crispy. I recommend getting extra tzatziki because it is super tasty and seems homemade. The outdoor patio is also nice because it is shaded and has fans so it's not hot at all.

Pointsettia Mimosa

Quick stop for brunch/lunch. Sat outside. Not sure if short-staffed but service very slow. Only 1 person seemed to be working the outside tables. Took more than 40 mins from sit down to even ordering. Had a "pointsettia" Mimosa which was delish. Asian Rice bowl was very good and fairly priced.

Visited this location for lunch while on a girl's trip vacation. Really cute restaurant with outdoor seating and sidewalk seating. There is also inside seating with a nice bar, but the weather was perfect for outdoor dining during our visit. I and one of my friends got the smash burger with twisted fries. The burger was good, but could use more seasoning. The fries were AWESOME and had a crunchy texture. My other friend got the flat bread with grilled chicken and balsamic dressing and it was sooooo good! One other got a gyro with fries and bragged about how delicious it was. Service was kind of slow, but they were really busy. One older waitress appeared to be somewhat nasty to our waitress which is why we think she got distracted. I'd recommend this location and would definitely go again if I were to ever visit the area again.

Sweet Chili Wings

Popped in here on a Thursday evening based on Yelp reviews and the fact that they have buffalo cauliflower - one of my favorite things, especially when it's served in a skillet. And it was worth the trip over. The cauliflower was crispy and spicy and comes with a great homemade ranch. The menu is a little British, a little Greek, a little Asian, a little Mexican and a little American. So you'll definitely find something for everyone here. I decided on the sweet chili wings. The sauce on them was perfect. Sweet but with a little heat - it comes with ten wings which is a great portion for the price. Perfectly crispy. Was able to try the kettle chips and twister fries from others in the table and both were great as well. It was a relatively busy evening and service was a little slow but the bartender was waiting multiple tables so I get it. She did a good job with multitasking.

Fried chicken sandwich & twister friess

Really was hoping this was going to be a great spot but unfortunately it was ehhhhh. Never had a chicken sandwich that tasted like a tempura batter. Twister fries tasted like they were cooked in the same oil as fish. Husband said the sliders were just ok & wouldn't go back for them. Nice outdoor patio area! They charged a 7% alcohol fee (we had 2 drinks) & 7% food fee. Didn't even look to see if they charged a credit card fee but I am sure they did.

Plus a hanging mermaid from the ceiling as well as a Tarpon .

We came for the buy one get one fish comes with delicious coleslaw and fries. It's a BOGO. Just need to have a beverage. Service is with a smile and super quick.

Great location and great staff. Kalie was excellent for recommendations! We enjoyed our lunch/brunch while watching the bikers ride by on the path. Shrimp quesadilla was done very well and perfectly seasoned. Burrito was good as well but would prefer ham as on option.

I really enjoy the food, ambiance, and service here at the Tarpon Taproom. We have been going here consistently for the past few weeks and each time our food has been great. We usually get the Dang Dang shrimp. I wish the portion were larger for the price- but that's the economy for you. They are so "dang" good though. We have tried a variety of things and they have all been good. From the burgers, the bowls, the wings and the Greek "taco," we would order them all again- and we do. The service is always quick and friendly. The servers seem to enjoy their jobs here and it shows. We have only tried the beer here so I do not know how the mixed drinks are but the bar is usually full to partially full on Saturday afternoons. We will continue coming here as we thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and the food. I feel we get a good meal for the money and try at is important nowadays! Recommend you give it a go if you are in the area. We like to make a day of it and hang out in downtown Tarpon and shop and go to the Replay Museum/Arcade and play all the retro arcade games. It's a fun day!

It looks really good until you start eating it and then it's absolutely uneditable

Excellent & reasonably priced. Southwest Chicken bowl was absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere outside right next to Pinellas Bike Trail.

I came across this restaurant through a search and I am so glad we did. Unfortunately, we had to do takeout as it was brought to us for a lunch break and we are 40 minutes away so it wasn't at the temperature the they would have served it to or the presentation - our fault. But theirs at all. It wasn't through a delivery service either so I cannot fault anyone but us. What I can say is the food is phenomenal. The brussel sprouts are some of the absolute best I have ever had and the others agreed. The tuna was to perfection. The refinery salad, we added shrimp, also amazing. The bulgogi - no fat or gristle, tender and flavorful. We also got a flatbread- rest in pieces. Someone bumped into our sacrificial delivery person and it went everywhere. We heard it was aromatic and had it not been on the sidewalk of a downtown high traffic area it may have been a Friends cheesecake moment in the hallway. Overall, definitely want to go to the actual restaurant now. There are other items I would love to try and the consensus is that this would be a fabulous date night restaurant. Not bougie and just hip enough inside. Looking forward to more dishes and plated to the perfection of the taste of their food.

The owner was also walking around greeting customers and he spoke to us. After we placed our take out order, one of them offered to bring the food to our which was nice. We ordered the dark meat chicken dinner with mac and cheese and baked beans plus a few extra sides: french fries, collard greens, and potato salad. We also ordered the original banana pudding and strawberry crunch banana pudding. The chicken was delicious and the sauce was fantastic. I wish we could've bought a bottle of it to take home with us. The sides did not miss either. My favorite side was the baked beans and my husband loved the fries. I LOVE my baked beans with ground beef in them. The banana pudding was so so good and it was devoured immediately. Wish we would've bought two more lol. Note: The collard greens have smoked turkey in them not pork, so I appreciated that. Absolutely wonderful meal to close out our trip to the beach. Highly recommend stopping by, and I can't wait to visit Tarpon Springs again just to eat here.

Tarpon turtle, off tarpon ave, on the wast end of lake tarpon…read more Yes Ive had a big weekend. Eating in tomorrow. I had written this place off after a change of ownership left it with subpar food and indifferent service. My wife kept going back and insisted things had turned around. She was right. I hate when that happens. Mid-Saturday afternoon, good crowd, zero wait. Drinks first -- Tito's Moscow Mule for me, Angry Orchard for her. Both spot on. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos: corn tortillas, slaw, slightly spicy aioli, topped with thin pickled red onions. Very, very good -- and I don't hand out two "verys" lightly. The Mrs. had the bang bang shrimp flatbread, which was tasty enough that she only shared one bite. Our server Mia was fantastic -- attentive without hovering, asked all the right questions, kept things moving perfectly. The ambiance is still the star. Right on Lake Tarpon with their own marina -- come by boat if you can. Just don't swim. About 16 miles of gator-infested shoreline out there, so admire the view from dry land. There's a 3% credit card surcharge, which I have opinions about, but it happens to match my cash back rate so the universe balanced out. One hard-earned tip: do NOT sit outside near sunset. We made that mistake once and were swarmed by mosquitoes the second the sun went down -- full aerial assault, no survivors. The view through a window is just as nice, and you'll keep all your blood. Glad they turned it around. We'll be back.

Atmosphere: The restaurant itself apart from the food is pretty great, outside you overlook the Tarpon Lake, they've great tables, spacing is great, outside tables have umbrellas. Very good atmosphere, though there is restaurant trash in the lake. Service: The service was decent, nothing special. I love the atmosphere, but price for quality isn't here. Food is not worth the price tag in the slightest. I came to this conclusion based on taste, and portions. As Such I do not recommend unless you plan on consuming enough alcohol to forget the taste and price of the food and just enjoy the view, and ambiance of the restaurant itself.
