So anyway, we googled taxi companies and came across "Craft Delivery Service" and I am so glad we did! Sue told us she would be at our place in 10 minutes and was right on time! She was very friendly and polite and her rates were fair. Sue even came back later on in the evening and picked us up and took us back home safely! I truly couldn't have asked for a better, more accommodating and friendly ride To and From. My experience riding with her far surpassed any ride I have taken with Lyft/Uber. Unfortunately, this is not an item on Flatbread's menu (dated 6/7/2021). They do however offer a Riverside Farm Cider Donut Sundae for $7.75. Instead of some donuts I recieved a donut sundae without ice cream and maple infused whipped cream. That's right, I got a single donut in a pint sized container. With tax and tip, I paid over $7 for a donut that was just ok. I emailed Elizabeth at TOG the next day. Mistakes happen. I get that. So I asked her to make it right. She never responded (I waited one week before posting this. ). There are some other issues too. When I placed the order the confirmation indicated that it would be delivered in between 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 50. That's crazy for a Tuesday night this sounded crazy so I called Flatbread to cancel and order a take out but I was too late. It was delivered in roughly 1 hour 15. That's ok for a Saturday night but a bit surprising mid-week. In addition, they require a minimum tip of 20%. It is automatically added to the check. I have no problem tipping and I tip well. But I resent being told that it is mandatory and automatic. That's not a tip, it's a fee. Finally, their website says that the prices are set by the restaurants. False. They sometimes add a buck to an item. Go check it out yourself. I won't be using TOG again. There is simply no need. Uber, Doordash, Toast, and GrubHub go to most of the same places, and dozens more. We've haven't had a problem yet and I've never felt as though I got conned out of a few bucks.

Deli sandwiches wouldn't cut it for our guests. For awhile we prepared on our own but the time and effort required was simply too much hassle for my wife and her schedule. A friend told us about Portside Provisions and we gave it a try. There's enough to do and organize when we head out on our boat, so making one phone call or e-mail for food, seemed like a major stress reliever. We ordered their custom baskets, wine and desserts... and they far exceeded our expectations. Our somewhat discerning guests were very impressed with the quality and preparation of the food - we were inspired by the companies dedication to locally produced ingredients. Maine has some of the best organic produce, local meat and cheese in the world this time of year - it would be a shame to be in such a spot and eat "SYSCO" products and other commercially processed goods. Portside Provisions also graciously customized our orders according to our needs - one of our children has a gluten intolerance and some of our guests are a bit particular. They accommodated us in every way - the answer was always "yes". Portside's wine choices were perfectly matched to the exceptionally tasty food. The service and attention to detail by our incredibly astute and professional representative was on par with a 5 star hotel yet prices were absolutely competitive. This is a diamond in the rough of food "to go" on the Midcoast.
