Lobster roll w/ butter
Pamela M.

I love me some Lobstatruck! I crave the big chunks of lobster on a warm bun smothered with butter almost daily. So. Good. I got to try Lobstatruck for the first time (finally!) when they were part of the Truck Squad meet up in Fullerton (Imperial and Harbor). If you want to know their whereabouts, they post their schedule for the week on their website. When I got there, Lobstatruck had the longest line out of all the food trucks. I got 1 lobster roll with butter ($13) for myself. The roll was smaller than I expected lengthwise, but it was packed with tons of lobster. Not just tiny lobster pieces, but HUGE chunks! I got to try the lobster roll with both butter and mayo in one, and I definitely recommend getting the all butter roll instead. I found the mayo overpowered the lobster flavor, unlike the butter which just enhanced it. The lobster roll with butter was so delicious, I wished I had another at the time. Many people complain about the $13 price for the lobster roll but you have to consider these factors: - Lobster is not cheap - Food from a food truck is always pricey - Other lobster rolls elsewhere (like Lobster Me in Las Vegas) cost even more AND don't taste as good as the ones from Lobstatruck In my opinion, the money is worth it. Next time I catch Lobstatruck, I will buy two without hesitation. Seldom do I eat lobster, so why not? When I went, they were out of clam chowder already. I will definitely have to have that next time (if they don't run out). **Here's a tip if you plan on visiting a food truck!** Bring your own drinks-- water or soda can cost anywhere from $1.50-$2 each :)

Ohhh Lobstatruck is such a treat. A bunch of fresh hot lobster meat on a buttery toasted bread roll with warm butter drizzled on top? Yes please! The lobsta roll was $12 which is fine, but it was kind of small. It was the perfect size for a light meal, but if you're a big eater, you'll probably be able to scarf down five or six of these easy. I can't wait to try the crab roll next time and some of their clam chowder.

Freshly made lemonade, cup of lobster bisque, and lobster roll with butter -- a twenty dollar lunch

Lobster = the bacon of the sea. Sure they look like mutant scorpions on steroids, and someday their irradiated descendants are destined to rise from the oceans to wreak their vengeance on humanity for our transgressions against the planet-- but for now, they're weak and tasty. The only way to ruin Lobster is to overcook it, and the only "seasoning" it needs is butter. So for my two cents, the Lobsta Truck hit upon a winning formula: 1 toasted Boston-style hot dog bun + a buncha warm, juicy lobster meat + butter = MY LUNCH!! Now if only it were a little larger..! There wasn't a ruler handy at the time, but it seemed to be about 5 inches long. For twelve bucks, I was wanting more. Much more. So naturally, I rewarded Lobsta Truck for its stinginess by ordering a cup of bisque. Take that, you greedy little butter truckers! I wasn't as excited by the lobster bisque. It was alright...not as rich and flavorful as I'd like, but it did fill in the whiney gaps in my tummy, left over from the smallish lobster roll. The other thing they did beautifully was the freshly squeezed lemonade. It did seem to take longer than the other menu items -- did they actually squeeze and mix each cup? I didn't happen to see, but when it finally came out it was just the way I like it: simple, and not too sweetened. This was the very beverage needed for a lobster roll lunch! Good times, but not cheap.

Lobster roll was amazing. I got a half and half (half butter/half mayo), but I preferred the butter side. Roll was soft and buttery grilled and lobster was succulent, buttery, salty and sweet. A little pricey but worth if every once on a while.

We ordered lobsta roll, lobster bisque, clam chowder, and a whoopi pie. I didn't have the lobster roll so I couldn't compare it to the other lobster food truck. But my sister had it and she said it was great. The clam chowder was great, better than the bisque, but really both were good. I am not a fan of the whoopi pie :-/

The lobster rolls we're perfect in every way 10/10

Seen they would be over at the best buy shopping center on the corner of harbor bled and imperial giving out free meals courtesy of Wescom bank. The lobster roll was very delicious and loaded with big chunks of high quality lobster. In all it old have came out to around 28$ for the rolls and two drinks but thanks to Wescom it was on the house. Can't wait to have it again

Lobster roll was good, but service wasn't as great ..! Blonde girl was rude and not that helpful.. It was first time there therefore I had more questions than normal ... She made my experience not memorable and not sure I'll go back .. If you go don't ask too many questions and add butter to your roll..

For food truck standars they really step it up...lobster is overnighted from Maine. No west coast, tiny-ass fake lobster here!

We booked The Lime Truck to cater a vendor appreciation event for one of our most valued partners,…read moreand they absolutely delivered. We had about 300 guests and brought out two trucks to ensure quick service. It was the right call -- the lines moved fast, no one was stuck waiting, and the entire flow felt organized and seamless. For an event where timing and guest experience really matter, that level of efficiency was huge. The food was outstanding across the board. The steak tacos were a crowd favorite -- perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The potato tacos were incredible and didn't feel like a "secondary" option at all. The quesadillas were fresh, melty, and made to order. Everything tasted vibrant and high quality. What impressed us most was how professional and prepared the team was. They showed up early, set up quickly, and handled the volume with confidence. The trucks looked clean, modern, and added to the atmosphere of the event. If you're looking for large group food truck catering in Southern California -- whether it's vendor appreciation, corporate hospitality, or a client event -- The Lime Truck has the capacity and operational strength to execute without stress. We trusted them with an important partner, and they made us look great.

The lime truck came to work for an event and I gotta say, I was pretty dang satisfied!…read more Frank, Anthony, Araceli were at the helm of the truck and in the kitchen and they were great. There were patient, friendly, and got all of us our orders as soon as they could(There were quite a few of us...close to 50 ppl). It was a work event, so I don't know what they charge for the items (We were just allowed to order from the menu), but just from a taste-perspective, it was pretty darn good. I tried just about everything they had on our list... Potato tacos, Brussels sprouts Steak quesadilla Seared ahi taco The items were small, but I ordered more than once. I would DEF get it if it was in the hood.
