Stopped in on a very busy Sunday - enjoyed the fish and chips and cioppino. The staff was awesome - very friendly. We were seated near the hostess stand and overheard so many pleasant interactions. The portions were generous with a good amount of fish that was well cooked. The fries could have been a little crisper and would benefit from some salt, but the cole slaw with sweetness from apples and golden raisins was really nice to complement the fried food. The cioppino had clams, mussels, and flaky white fish and the rolls were perfect to soak up all the tasty broth. I'd definitely return if in the area. read more

Lobsta Land makes me smile! The place is authentic, local and the food is amazing! The menu is extensive and I have never had a meal (or drink) that I didn't enjoy! It's always busy and the team there does everything to make sure you have an enjoyable experience and a fantastic meal! In the summer, be sure to make a reservation well in advance - it's that popular! The outdoor deck is comfortable and fun, plus the addition of live music is wonderful...definitely enjoyable! Indoors, I like the bar area the best. Lobsta is one of their specialties so whatever you order it's delicious i.e.: a lobster roll, lobsta BLTA, boiled, lazy...and if you want a real treat be sure to order the baked stuffed lobsta - one of my fav's! My second fav is the Sole Meunière, love this dish - so fresh and lemony...and hot! I enjoy mine served with butternut squash and asparagus. LOL, I am heading there again today for a late lunch and this will be my go-to...unless I can convince myself to try something new! Burgers are also amazing and their Fried Fisherman's Platter is too. There is never enough room for their famous Key Lime Pie, although it's delicious. Note, Lobsta Land has to be amazing as the place is packed with locals ALL the time and once tourists make the LL discovery, they also return year after year! A special thanks to Corey Grammas for leading the way and carrying on his family legacy. Corey and the entire team run such a great business i.e.: from the moment you walk in - from the friendly hostesses, to wait staff, to bartenders and the chefs/kitchen staff - wow! I know it's not easy and fully recognize that you all work hard to uphold Lobsta Land to the highest of standards in both food quality and customer service. Oh my gosh, I love this place. We stayed in Gloucester for 3 days and ordered take out from lobsta land 2 nights in a row. The lazy man's lobster is killer. We also really liked the coconut shrimp, the crab cakes, the steamed mussels, and the lobster quesadilla. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the steak- it was good, but paled in comparison to the seafood. Highly recommend this spot! read more

Pre Covid 19, we have been here many times. Eaten and shared everything on the menu. Great draft beers, fried clams, fish stew, Portuguese haddock, and tuna. Last evening we dined outside in the new tent. Plenty of ventilation and wonderful marsh view. Citronella torches and bug spray kept the critters away. Food delicious. Only negative, beside usual Covid stuff is plastic utensils. Go and enjoy. read more

We travel at least once per year to this restaurant. The Bouillabaisse is out of this world! The bowl is practically dry when I'm done with it. The steamers, the best around! Sweet! The "Cory Pain Killer" cocktail, delicious. Strawberry shortcake, yummy! (Homemade biscuit and whip cream) The onion rings are also amazing, not greasy. Fried perfectly. We have been to the best restaurants in and around Boston, nothing comes close. Been coming here for many years, never disappoints. Service is always prompt, professional, and friendly. read more

All good here is good I got the tuna tower which was good but nothing special then got the chicken piccata which was just perfect hit the spot very heavy on the butter but what else are carbs used for if not for a butter vessel. But the mushroom risotto was AMAZING! The waitress Nicole was nice and helpful when picking out what we wanted and i believe the bartender Lauren made the best (and large) dirty martini perfect the first time (if you knew who I was dining with that's practically a first) highly recommend if you want to meet locals and feel like your eating with family. read more

Lobsta Land remains excellent and it continues to have the freshest seafood around. I would recommend the Tuna tower and fried clam appetizers! For dinner, the broiled haddock and the bouillabaisse are perfect for healthy choices. I also enjoy the turkey club and fried haddock sandwich! The cocktails are tasty and generously poured. The restaurant has been remodeled and looks great with outside seating options( just wear your bug spray if you sit outside). There are daily specials! This place is beyond awesome. Some of the best seafood around and in the Cape Ann area that is saying a lot. Try the risotto. We had several drinks and all were excellent. Bartenders were extremely attentive. Parking lot is a little bit weird but don't let that hold you back from visiting. Will return every time we are in the area. read more

Absolutely delicious food. They NEVER disappoint. I mean never. Lauren was an excellent server. E we're on the patio which is fairly new and it was wonderful. My only observation is that for the live entertainment, musical is better than singing and not quite as loud. But he was good! We are all there to talk with and enjoy friends and conversation. Background music is nice just not the singing. It felt like we were competing somehow. read more

After a late Sunday afternoon of beaching at Good Harbour Beach in Gloucester, BF and I wanted to grab lobsters for dinner nearby. A quick search brought us to this place on Yelp. Even though they have own lot, parking was pretty packed. We were told that there would be a 45min to an hour wait. Looks like they were short staffed because there were a few empty tables in the main dining area. After we put our names down, BF and I found our way to the bar to grab drinks while we wait. We were surprised that we had to put our names on a separate waiting list. When we got there, the bar area was very crowded. Luckily after a few minutes wait, we ended up having our impromptu dinner at the bar. The bartender/wait-staffs were so friendly and attentive. You can tell a lot of the locals come here because they were on first names basis. For drinks, we both got Moscow Mule and it was pretty good - not too sweet and not too sour. Then, we started with their warm mini ciabatta rolls. It came with this olive and garlic spread (I love it - if only we can bottle this stuff up and take it home!). For appetizers, we got steamers and ciopinno, which BF couldn't stop raving about. I love dipping the ciabatta roll to soak up the ciopinno sauce. So good and full of fresh seafood! Then afters, we both got lobster rolls. I love how light and tasty it was. All too many times, lobster rolls are heavily drenched in sauces but I love how this place kept it simple to let the lobster truly shine. We also got fish chowder; mine was haddock and BF got the clam chowder. Both were light, not heavy, and delicious! We didn't make it to dessert but already made plans to come back next time. read more

I'm a big fan of this summery divey place. From its backyard view of the marsh to its yummy lobsta roll, they reeled me in. My wife and I suggest the blackened fish tacos (the grilled are good too but just not enough umph). Three generous tacos filled with delicious condiments were enough to fill me up. This was an unexpected stop for Sunday Brunch, and surprisingly delicious! I wouldn't have expected such a large breakfast/brunch menu from a lobster restaurant. The list of specials was enticing with its variety of french roasts and flavored pancakes, but I wanted lobster. I got the lobster eggs Benedict. I ordered it with light hollandaise, and they came out just that way. Tons of lobster meat, extra sauce on the side, and red bliss home fries. My husband got a western omelette. It was huge, delicious, and came with the home fries and choice of toast. Our little one got a kids meal, for under $5 it was a generous size slab of french toast with a side (4 pieces) of bacon. Omg I cannot day enough good things about this place, the clam chowder was to die for and the server mentioned that they had just received top three chowder in a contest recently, so I'd say that counts for something! I ordered the one pound lobster worried that it wouldn't be enough food, oh was I wrong...it was so delish and filling with a salad and baked potato and only $26!!! I will definitely be back next time in Boston area, I would say this is a must visit restaurant! read more

Wonderful service but even better food, I'm fortunate enough to be 5 minutes down the road causing me to be as regular as I can, and not once has lobsta land disappointed. The paella is to die for, and don't let the price intimidate you because you get well enough seafood for what you're paying for. The crème brûlée made by the owner is and will always be my favorite dessert, all in all a wonderful place with wonderful staff and I would recommend this to anyone either local or just visiting Gloucester. read more

Do not go there. we reserved an outside table. we waiTed for half an hour f our table no one told us that we could order drinks and sit outside while we waited for our table it was another half hour before we could order our drinks and get three rolls the drinks were bad the salad was good The main dishes were bad wou recommend this place to my worst enemy read more

Even Cousin Ernie would agree that this is an outstanding restaurant. Seven of us for dinner on a Tuesday evening reservations at 6:15 Seated promptly. Server Tracey outstanding, drinks a generous portion. The food was outstanding, I got Portuguese Haddock with clams, mussels and linguisa. Started with two platters of fried onion rings terrific. I wish the FOOD was better here. Service and view is great -but just ordered my second meal here and it was straight out of the microwave. $14.99 for pre frozen scallops not even heated up to temp in microwave. Live on N Shore and like to spend money locally but have given this place too many chances with disappointed results. Manager made it all correct but wish food consistency was better. Rooting for them ! read more

Highly recommended local spot. We had reservations since we are a big group. We waited for about 5 minutes at the bar since they were cleaning our table. Our server was very friendly. My son and I decided to share the 6 lb lobster with a side of asparagus. I was doing a happy dance when it arrived. So fresh and tasty. The rest of our party ordered French onion soup, clam chowder, lobster Mac n cheese, steak tips with truffle fries, lobsters (1.5 and 2 lbs), baked haddock, pan seared halibut, smash burger and fried clams. Everyone was satisfied and enjoyed their food. Generous serving size that everyone had leftovers. Highly recommend the place if you are ever in Gloucester. Till next time.

We got there right in time because within 5 minutes of us sitting at the bar, all of the bar seats were taken. This place filled up fast. The male bartender you could tell didn't like us from the start. He was short with us and then he would just ignore us sometimes. There was a female bartender who you could tell was fed up with him and was having to pick up the slack. She asked if he took our drink order yet, which he hadn't and she let out a sigh and then took our order and made our drinks. We ended up getting some calamari and sharing the Captain Jack's baked seafood platter. I expected the plate to be a bit larger but everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. They have tables in the back & to get there, you have to walk through this tiny alley way. Note: not many tables available. Be prepared to possibly share a table with others! Here's what we ordered from our visit: - boiled lobsters 1 1/4 lb (2)-- $18/ea - clam chowder (4)-- $7/ea - smoked salmon --$8 - hot lobster roll-- $32 - stuffed clam (2)--$3/ea - Coca Cola We decided to get the 1lb1/4 boiled lobsters. It was $18/each and we got two of them. Looking back, we probably should've just gotten the 3/$50 deal but it's okay. This comes with melted butter on the side. Lobsters were fresh & easy to eat.
