I really want this place to succeed, but they always seem to do something that makes my head ache. Went on an early Sunday afternoon around 1pm for a late breakfast. We were happy to see the after-church crowd has mostly disappeared so while still busy, we were seated pretty quickly. I did notice quite a few dirty tables though, so the morning rush has probably just left. They had a new menu since our last visit which was nice to see, although I'm sure the prices went up, as they are going up everything. They did have sliders which I don't remember before and some desert samplers which if I was hungrier, I might have tried. The service was pretty good. Our waitress was moving fast and very efficient, while still pleasant enough so we didn't feel rushed to order. She did the typical upsell to my usual order of Swedish crepes and while I declined the combo with eggs, hashbrowns and choice of meat, I did decide to get a 2 sausage links. The food came out as usual, but without the sausage, which the server was quick to let me know they would be coming. She took another order and on her way past our table reminded me that she hasn't forgotten my sausage links. Nice touch. So, here come the links, and it take me a minute to figure out what I was looking at. It was link sliced down the middle the long way, to make it LOOK like 2 sausage links (see picture). Huh?!?!? I have NEVER seen that before. It get that inflation is affecting everything, but that was nuts. And to top if off, the sausage was pretty good so I would have enjoyed 2 FULL links. Oh well. This doesn't mean I won't return. As we were paying out bill, our service did offer us to go cups for our drinks and even a refill of my diet coke to take home. We didn't take her up on that offer, but it's keeping my review from going down to 3 stars because an extra diet coke to take home offer is worth a star in my book. read more

loaded cafe starts your breakfast with mini conchas that were soft on the inside and had a slight crunch on the outside. no better way to have them, my grandpa had 5 cups of coffee with his pan and still managed to eat all his meal. Not only was the food delicious but service was amazing with the sweetest waitress, who helped us cleaned up our spilt orange juice and had a smile the entire time. the atmosphere was very trendy 10/10 would recommend. read more

Had the absolute worst experience here. The staff was rude. The food was horrible. I have been to the Location in Long Beach several times and it was absolutely amazing. I was hoping this location was similar. Overall, definitely will not be back. We did go in about 45 minutes before closing and the waitress told us three times they were closing in 45 minutes. I assured her as soon as she told us the first time when we sat down that we would be quick. She again reiterated it to us when she came back to take our order. Then she reiterated it again when she gave us our food. Overall, the experience was not great. We arrived early in the afternoon and sat really quick. Service seemed to be a priority. The store was 1/2full and we were excited to try their food. First visit here... We ordered drinks and then she took our food order. Drinks were brought to us quickly... thank goodness. We had a newborn and 2 kids. Kids need something, and orange juice hit the spot. Now, the wait began. Food took longer than expected. Kids were getting impatient, and they were hungry. Food took about 25 min, and everything was great. The restaurant is definitely family-friendly. I've eaten here a couple of times, and ordered takeout once, and everything was good! My favorite dishes are the crepes and the pancakes. I never liked crepes until I had them here, and the pancakes are big, rich, and buttery. I know this restaurant is really good if my husband clears his plate, and he did. The nopales and eggs with beans were delicious---so I was told. Their broad menu makes it hard to leave unsatisfied. There is something for everyone. Definitely support loaded. Loaded must refer to either the person that developed the menu, or the fees and up charges that loaded up our bill to more than $50 for a couple having breakfast. $1.00 fee for 2 eggs added to the already inflated price of the menu items containing eggs. And when I can buy a dozen eggs for less than $6.00, what's that fee about? $3.99 for an ice tea in a small jar I can barely fit my beak in, with no refills? Another $1.63 fee to pay with a credit card. Seriously? The food wasn't bad.. Quality wise I'd put it right there with a Denny's. Portions weren't huge as a place called Loaded Cafe might suggest. The service was good and so we're the conchitas from Panevito. Too bad the quality of the Loaded Cafe doesn't align with the pricing and the additional fees didn't really help to sell Somebody must be loaded and since it's not me, I won't be returning. read more

I probably won't be going back here. I really wanted to like this place, since the food looked promising. Unfortunately, Loaded Cafe had more downs than ups. The only upside was the staff members.. super nice people. I could not stop staring at the rundown, dennys look-alike decor of the restaurant. It just felt like they're trying too hard to be trendy, but ends up looking really dated and unkempt. If the food was good, I'd give a pass to the ambiance. I felt like the food was barely okay, and way overpriced for the quality we were given. I ordered the asada chilaquiles and the Asada was decent, but everything else tasted super oily. The restaurant was clean, the restroom needs to be deep cleaned. The free mini conchas was nice. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and they gave me a beef burrito. I told the waiter, who was not our original waitress, that it was fine I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't taking somebody else's order. He offered to make the bean and cheese burrito and for me to keep the beef burrito and I said no it's fine. The burrito was delicious, everything we ate was delicious. Our waitress never came back to check on us, didn't bring us our check or boxes, I had to ask someone else to do that. Great lattes, pancakes were the best I've ever had, and our server who was training was awesome! The portions were HUGE and it was good diner food. Just a heads up, they will charge you for a side of sauce which was not disclosed to us, but we now know for next time! They brought a warm latte made with the wrong milk, then brought out the right latte five minutes later without saying it. They fixed it without us needed to say anything. Loaded Cafe feels like a cross between a chain diner (Dennys) but with the4 food tasting like more of a mom/pop. - Nutella Banana Shake: good but my son would have preferred more nutella taste, he said it was very bananan - Spinach Mushroom Hollandaise: my hubs enjoyed it, said the hollandaise sauce wasn't overpowering - Sirloin Steak Breakfast with buttermilk pancakes: my daughter really enjoyed the steak, she couldn't get enough - Country Sausage Biscuit: this one was disappointing, the picture on the menu shows a sausage patty but when it came out, the waitress said they only do links. She didn't offer to replace my meal. They should correct the menu or let you know when you order. - Swedish Crepes combo with Eggs and Sausage: my son enjoyed the crepes, they were light and balanced, not too sweet or feeling heavy. I recently visited Loaded Cafe and ordered their Veggie scrambled eggs, expecting a decent, reasonably priced breakfast. Instead, I was hit with a string of surprise charges that pushed my total to over $20--and that didn't even include a drink. First, they added a service fee just for using a card, which already felt like a cheap move. Then came an "egg fee"--on an omelette, no less--followed by an extra charge for adding canned jalapeños. These aren't premium ingredients, yet every little addition came with a price tag. For a no-meat, basic veggie plate, the cost was excessive. The food itself was just average, definitely not worth the hassle or the hidden fees. I also had to ask for a water cup for three times . I have them three stars because they give you a complimentary mini concha and it was pretty good. read more

Today I decided to give it a try at loaded cafe, we thought we will get free concha's how they said and we got this crappy brown bread. Server name Julio was totally rude and bad customer service. We ask him about the concha's and he was like that's all we have and if we wanted some to get up and go ask the cafecito spot. Honestly his customer service is what cause the bad experience.
