Okay guys, my friend found Encultura after wandering into the Packing District, they even offer an outdoor patio seating area with outside bar. Here is where we stumbled upon one of the best bartenders we have encountered, his name is Chris. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and very charismatic. On Tuesdays they do happy hour & they have really good drinks and tacos. Tacos are small in size so be sure to order more. The drinks were delicious & Chris even made some customized ones for us. Will definitely come back again!
Hidden gem at the Anaheim Packing District! The bar is definitely the place to be. Happy hour was fantastic, with great drinks and an awesome atmosphere. Chris, our bartender, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and brought such a fun vibe to the experience. I had the tacos and the crispy tripas were absolutely delicious, perfectly crunchy and packed with flavor. As for the drinks, I devoured the guava margaritas. They were so refreshing and dangerously good! Great food, amazing cocktails, and outstanding service. I'll definitely be back!
I had a great experience at En Cultura inside the Anaheim Packing District! The brisket was tender and smoky, the barbecue chicken was flavorful, and the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were the perfect sides. I also really enjoyed the chile verde wings. They were saucy with a nice peppery kick. Everything tasted fresh, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a unique spot for barbecue in Anaheim!
Hands down, the worst dining experience to the existence of man kind. You have two female bartenders with no energy or smiles or personality. Burger was the greasiest to ever be made in the face of this earth. Birria bowls sent out in plastic containers. Jack in the box fries. I told the bartender my feedback about the burger and the responded with ohhhh. Girls start with an apology. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
This place absolutely blew me away! It was my very first time at the packing house. When I was looking at the menu this place stood out to me the most even tho have some amazing food places. I got the BBQ Brisket Burger and when I tell you this thing was juicy and humungous! I'm not lying, check the photo lol. This thing comes with curly fries and the curly fries are also on point. The service was great. Inside the restaurant itself is pretty small, you're better off find outside seating or all throughout the packing hous Of course definitely gotta go back to try other things. And to top it off this place has toothpicks so they automatically get 5/5 from me
I decided to walk around the Anaheim packing district before my reservation at, En Familia. And then I ended up canceling and trying a little bit of everything from all the places in here. And thats how I ran into, Encultura. Without knowing that it is the sister restaurant of, En familia. Where do I start? First off, the place smells amazing. You can smell it all the way down the hall. The service that Sergio and Ricky provided was a solid 10/10 The place is Halal certified And it is the perfect fusion of Mexican-inspired barbecue. (The BBQ is Texas style) They have a few tables inside and outdoor seating. It's located all the way at the end of Anaheim packing district. They also have a bar outside. If you can't find it, just come inside and ask them for Directions to it. (They have a sign inside pointing to where it's located) They have a really big variety, and it's so hard to pick what to eat here. After help from the lovely staff, Sergio and Ricky gave some recommendations. (I can't stress how nice and helpful they are) -The bbq empanadas were definitely coming home with me. I ended up getting them to Go. And then to dine in -the California brisket burrito (huge portion) The food was absolutely amazing. I wish I would of tried more of their regular BBQ dishes and I'd love to come back for their burger They have a section on their menu of - bowls Tacos Burritos Bbq Bbq platters A variety of sides Mocktails Cocktails (their bar is located outside) Burgers sandwiches Appetizers A create your own area of the menu And seafood options They have all their BBQ cooking in house Their sauces are all made fresh I ended up getting ice cream from a vendor across from this restaurant. I asked them if it was ok that I sat there and ate it since I wasn't feeling that well (I came here not too long after a procedure) and the staff was extremely kind about it and allowed me to sit there and finish my ice cream. They even checked on me a couple times asking if I was ok Parking is easy Staff is friendly (Sergio and Ricky) Portions are large Halal Everything tastes extremely fresh The sauces were amazing If you love BBQ, Mexican food or you're a fan of fusion, you'll absolutely love this place and you need to add it to your list ASAP
Nice to have this outside of Packing District. Music was very loud, Lakers and Dodgers game was on during happy hour. We order 1/2 off tacos range from $6-10 a taco which was very pricey for what you received. Ordered Prime brisket tacos -tender Smoked chicken -overcooked lack of seasoning Burnt ends -tasted a few days old and very dry Wagyu Loaded nachos -basic nothing pleasing Smoked chicken quesadilla -same chicken as the tacos , very dry and flavor lacking Drinks We had our first round of Margs and beer come out within minutes, then the bar got busy with just one bartender , she admitted she forgot to submit our order after 15-20mins. It was about a 1/2 hour wait in between. Hopefully she gets more help in the future. We asked for tripas tacos but they were sold out at 5pm shocking... the owners were sitting across the bar, noticed that one of them went straight to the grill grabbed some meat and eat it as we were waiting for our food and drinks to come.. shocking that they would display that. Prob the biggest let down for a cinco de mayo celebration in a while
This place is located at the packing house right next to hans. They have a small inside seating area & a bar area outside as well but that doesnt open until 5pm. Service was great. I got the bbq brisket loaded fries, birria burger & small plate of bbq. The birria burger easy 10/10 for me. It came with curly fries and some consome. It was juicy and thick. The bbq brisket fries were a bit pricey but they were good 9/10. I saw these in a tik tok video that went viral. The bqq plate was also good shiii I left happy lol everything was fire & they were playing bangers the whole time I was there. make sure to get some of the red bbq sauce
I went to the Anaheim Packing house and this place stood out because I noticed they actually do use wood smoke to make their meats. I ordered a wagyu quesabirria, a prime burnt ends taco, a prime brisket taco, and a BBQ platter to try the other options. I'm glad there are no "special sauses" that have mayo included in them because for people that are allergic to eggs, that's really dangerous. Most places don't disclose this information. Anyways, the meat was delicious. Personal preference, I don't like the sweet bbq sause that came with the prime burnt ends taco because the combination with cilantro, onion, lime and salsa did not go well. Although, I can see other people liking it. The reason this place caught my attention was for the uniqueness of the type of meat combined with mexican style tacos. I would definitely try this place again on another visit. I would recommend that some of these tacos need to come with a little bit of guac to eleveate the mexican flavor. I also feel the salsas could be better. A great salsa combined with these great tacos would take them to another level. Out of all the options, the prime brisket tacos were the ones with the highest potential to be even better with a great salsa and some guac. I highly recommend this place if you're in town because people are nice and friendly and the meat is thoughtfully done well.
This place is located inside the Anaheim Packing House. I ordered a Barbecue Platter with Brisket and Chicken with a side of Mac n cheese and Elote. The meat was tender and seasoned well. The brisket was my favorite. The sides were a bit basic so the meat carried the plate. The cashier was super nice and gave good recommendations. I would come again
Encultura *April 10th, 2026 *6pm- Friday *2 Stars Environment: *Inside Anaheim Packing District *Moderate Service *Moderate Parking Lot Food/Drink: *Smoked Wagyu Birria Bowl *Prime Brisket Bowl My sister and I decided to stop by Encultura while walking through the Anaheim Packing District because the smell and pictures of the food looked really good, which made us excited to try it. Unfortunately, the food ended up being a bit disappointing overall. We ordered two medium bowls, which came to be a little over $40, and for the portion size, it felt a bit overpriced. The smoked wagyu was tender and had good flavor, but the rice was very dry, with some parts even seeming undercooked, which really affected the dish. The prime brisket bowl was even heavier than expected, with noticeable puddles of oil sitting in the bowl. It made the meal feel overly greasy and hard to finish. That said, the staff was very nice and accommodating, especially when we asked to have certain toppings placed on the side, which we appreciated. Overall, while the service was positive, the food didn't quite meet expectations.
A Mexican/BBQ fusion counter service restaurant in the Anaheim Packing House. Visited on a Thursday evening, and the line wasn't long, but tons of orders were being made, so they might have a online take-out system available. Like a classic BBQ restaurant, you were able to create your own plate by ordering meats by the 1/4 pound. I typically don't got for chicken at BBQ spots, preferring the smoked red meats, but the chicken on this menu was listed as "brushed with mole; service with more for dipping," and I am a huge fan of mole! I ordered the chicken breast, brisket, and side of corn equite. As I mentioned, tons of orders were being picked up, so it did a significant amount of time for our food to be ready. My food came out 10+ minutes after my friend's who ordered more and directly before me. When looking my order, I noticed instead of a chicken breast, I got a cup of chopped chicken with no mole. I brought it back to the counter asking for additional mole for dipping (like stated on the menu), and was told they were out of mole for the day. Such a bummer because I would've chosen another meat option if I had known this would be the case! The brisket and corn were good, overall my favorite meat was the wagyu birria.
Walk up to the counter and order. Nachos. 9/10. Chips were fresh and it was fully loaded. They did not skimp on the toppings. Very tasty. Plenty of cheese and guacamole. Prime brisket taco. 9/10. Lots of flavor. Tons of meat. Birria taco. 7/10. A bit dry. Especially when compared to the brisket. Great option for dinner.

Where do I begin.? Let's review the website vs the Resturant, which I used for directions to the location. Website is current as of today yet upon entering the Resturant, the Family Platter priced at $95 is now $156 on the Resturant menu, I have the website open and I see the $95 yet I'm told it not current. Really?? Ok I order anyway, it comes with 1lb brisket, 1lb tritip and 1lb pichana with 3 small sides. Along with 2 wagyu burgers for my boys. Ok. Only the brisket was decent. Noah the manager stops by to check on my party of 6 , I say it's ok but the tritip and pichana a "tough" , 1st response is "do you know barbque?" I answer yes, I live very close to Heritage in San Juan where I frequent regularly and also Gees in addition to Texas de Brazil. "Oh" is the response, and a long explanation on the smoking process. Now I'm no Pitmaster but i know that poor quality meat in, results in poor quality meat out. Noah returns again to check in to only rehash the Resturant and thanks us for the feedback but nothing more No explanation for the meat or anything else . My kids who love Barbq, they passed on the tritip and pichana as too tough to chew. Even if it was next door I'd have to pass, not worth the drive or the price at either the $95 published price or the $156 surprise price Thanks but no thanks Big passssssssss read more

You should definitely come and try the Burnt end tacos. So freaking good and worth the $9 price tag. I would add some guacamole for them to be perfect. This place itself is a little hard to find on the side of the packing house but gives it more of a locals only vibe. Will definitely be back as they were advertising taco Tuesday specials and the bbq platters sound amazing read more

Absolutely yummy food (sorry forgot to take pictures of Elote Riblets but they were amazing) burnt ends were scrumptious. Can't forget to mention Chris! He was an amazing bartender and mixologist. The covered patio bar is definitely the way to go. read more

We recently tried Encultura and had a mixed experience overall. The location inside the Anaheim Packing District is always a plus, with a fun atmosphere and plenty of seating. I believe they also have a separate sit-down restaurant, which could offer a different experience. Unfortunately, the service wasn't the strongest part of our visit. The staff didn't seem very eager to take our order, and we found ourselves waiting at the counter longer than expected. As for the food, the meats were cooked really well and the sauces added great flavor that elevated the barbecue. I also appreciated the Latin-inspired twist on traditional BBQ flavors. However, the mac and cheese was disappointing and lacked the flavor we were hoping for. The biggest drawback was the price. While the meal was good, the platter was quite expensive, and when weighing the overall experience against the cost, it didn't leave me excited to come back for the same meal again. I'm glad we tried it and enjoyed parts of it, but the value just wasn't quite there for me. read more

This place is located in the Anaheim Packing District. Parking is definitely a challenge but they do offer valet parking thus eliminating the parking challenges. The Anaheim Packing District is about 42,000 square feet and houses several different restaurants, bakeries and bars..it's a gourmet food hall. On Sunday, April 19, 2025, we decided to try Encultura (a bbq restaurant). EnCultura BBQ is a popular barbecue restaurant in the Anaheim Packing District known for its Texas-style BBQ with a Mexican twist, serving smoked meats like brisket, tri-tip, and wagyu, alongside unique items like smoked birria burgers and loaded fries, with a separate bar and halal options available. It's praised for its flavorful, slow-smoked meats. Here's what we ordered: 1. Elote Riblets for $12, featuring a distinct Mexican-inspired profile with crema de coco, tamari, lime, and chili morita. These charred corn ribs are a blend of savory, tangy, and spicy flavors. These are really good. Corn is nicely charred and sweet. 2. BBQ BRISKET PAPAS FRITAS! Crispy curly fries topped with smoky brisket, cilantro, onion, pickled jalapenos, chipotle crema and crumbled queso cotija on top. The brisket was amazing! Extremely tender and very flavorful. What I didn't care for were the curly fries, this dished would be so much better with regular crinkle cut fries or steak fries. Additionally, some melted creamy cheese would have made this more creamy and not as dry. I would only reorder if I had a different fry option. But if curly fries is your jam, then you will love this. 3. Chile-lime Tripas taco. The tripas were crispy and very flavorful. It was a standard Mexican taco. 4. Brisket taco. Again, their brisket is off the hook delicious and tender. Both tacos were good and would order again. 5. Smoked Wagyu Birria burger. Burger was freaking delicious and would definitely order again. It came with curly fries. The order prepping did take a bit but we weren't in a hurry so waiting wasn't a big issue. Overall, the food was good but a bit pricey. Since we ordered at the counter, I felt our service was rushed and menu board really didn't detail each item. I would have benefited from this bc had I known the fries were curly, I would have selected another item. Guy working register was friendly enough but I felt rushed. I'm not rating the ambiance since I used the walk-up counter. read more
I feel like I've been on a dry spell when it comes to biting into something that makes me go wow at first bite (not counting my usual favorite go-tos). Encultura finally ended said dry spell with a delicious brisket and burnt end tacos. Honestly at first I just wanted a quick bite since I literally had not eaten all day and it was already around 7 PM by the time I ordered. I had zero expectations and upon taking my first bite, I knew I had to order more. It was seriously that good. In fact, I ate half the taco in one bite and saved the other half for my friend. Let me tell you something. Fighting the urge to not scarf down that other half took immense self-control. Once she took a bite I knew we were both on the same page. We ordered another brisket taco and a burnt ends taco this time around. Personally I like the brisket just a little bit more if I HAD to choose, but both were absolutely phenomenal. And these tacos are LOADED. Sure, they're a bit pricey but the amount of meat you get with each one and the flavors make it easily worth it in my book. The pitmaster who I'm assuming might be the owner, showed me the beast of a smoker they have. As a side note I had a discussion about charcoal with some friends earlier that week at a friend's house and then I was given a brief tour of Encultura's smoker set up and I really feel like I'm truly getting in touch with being a man in this 30s. Anyway, aside from the food I LOVE the space outside. It's a perfect spot for daydrinking but also a really nice spot for a date as well. I seriously cannot wait to come back. I want to do the burnt ends with rice next time around, but definitely some more tacos too! read more
Swung by here for some tacos the other day. The brisket was delicious, but the bbq chicken one was surprisingly even better. It came with two sauces and the green one was delicious. The staff were helpful as I had never been before and gave me recommendations. I wasn't that hungry or I would've tried their epic-looking loaded fries or birria tacos. Next time! I had not tried this spot before even though I'm a packing house regular. Simply because it looked a little fancy when I'm mainly there for a quick grab and go bite and drink. But last night I decided why not. Unfortunately the dinning experience was not the best. I ordered some guacamole and a Birria bowl and my partner ordered a burger and fries. Everything came out in dinnerware as I would expect, but my bowl came in a plastic to go bowl, which cheapened the experience. The seasoning of the birria was decent and the rest is just rice and beans. The Guacamole was just lightly seasoned mashed avocado, No tomato, onions , cilantro, chile or lime as you would expect. My partner said his burger was just a greasy mess and the fries, omg those fries looked like they were curly fries from Jack in the box or from a from a frozen bag( I hope I'm wrong). This place was amazing. We ordered inside and had no idea there was a bar + full service outside. The bartender, Chris, gave us excellence service and hospitality with his drink recommendations, hilarious conversations, and ultimately an excellent show with the killer drinks. It's difficult to find as the bar is on the exterior and not intuitive if you order food from inside, that's my only recommendation to the business to help drive guests outside. Food was excellent, Texas style BBQ with a SoCal/Mexican flair/flavor profile all paired great with the crafted cocktails that Chris provided. Now, I understand that I'm eating here on Cinco De Mayo... but you would think the restaurant would staff more? I understand stuff happens. I'm sure the staff is doing their best with what they have, and I commend them. But again, it's suppose to be a busy day, should be better prepared for the situation? Sat at the bar area around 8pm. Was busy but luckily got bar seating. Wanted to take advantage of happy hour pricing (Tuesday). So ordered 6 tacos (birria, burnt ends, & brisket), 6 wings & corn. Bartender took our order, didn't write down our order, but had to double check back with us to confirm our order. When food came out, our order was wrong. Got one birria taco & our corn never came out. Tacos were sadly cold. Not ice cold, but cold. Given you're eating at a restaurant you want your food nice & hot. I have to say brisket & burnt ends were really good, and I just wish they were hot because it probably would've made them 10x better. Wings were exceptional! Enjoy them, they came out hot, so those were fine. Can't comment on the corn, because it didn't arrive. When the bill came out, and was as correct on what we received, which made it a little more disappointing because we did clarify exactly what we wanted (short 1 taco & no corn). If you go, highly recommend happy hour pricing (Monday - Thursday I believe), seems like it can get pricey at regular price. Overall, I want to like this place. But the cold food made it very disappointing. Might give it a try on a non-holiday Tuesday. read more
Wowww!! What a great place! Our mommy group decided to try out this little place in anaheim packing district before we pick up the kids from school...and what a pleasant place. We sat outdoors, got a friendly waitress helping us out and answering all our questions. We happened to be there on their first world cup watch party event ! It was a hot day, but they were ready with fans blowing air throughout the place in a gentle natural way. YES! All the meat/chicken they carry is HALAL. I think we tried and shared all the dishes they had for their game day food special lol and they were all great. I think my favorite was the brisket plate...yum that mac and cheese...mmm. My mocktail of choice was the blackberry mule which the barista recommended and I enjoyed. The chef stopped by and shared more helpful info about his food and his other Halal businesses- for sure coming for another visit, bringing in the family next time! read more

The food was excellent all around. The birria burger was absolutely delicious--juicy, flavorful, and packed with rich birria taste. The brisket fries were amazing and definitely perfect for sharing. The burnt ends burrito was another standout--loaded with flavor and cooked just right. On top of the great food, the service made the experience even better. So, this restaurant is on the second floor, and let's just say getting there is half the adventure, especially on weekends when parking is a circus. The area was buzzing with life, there was live music going on outside (not at the restaurant) but the food was sadly a letdown. Everything was so greasy and deep fried that I felt like I needed a gym membership just to survive the meal. Honestly, the taste was off, and I left feeling like my body was staging a protest. The staff was friendly, no complaints there, but waiting nearly 20 minutes for a burger and fries felt like an eternity. Even the loaded fries with asada were swimming in oil, as if they were taking a deep dive in a frying pool. I chose this place because of its glowing Yelp reviews, but I left wondering if the reviewers had different taste buds. We love Anaheim Packing House and the great restaurants that come along with it. We never tried Encultura and the unique menu caught our eye. The Smoked Brisket California Burrito is everything my husband loves and to my surprise I wish I ordered one myself! It's so flavorful, the salsa was perfectly spicy and the size itself was great considering the great ingredient choices they put in their food. The service was great and the woman working Friday night nov. 28th was so very nice. It's quiet inside if it's too loud to eat in the common area and I can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Is the food here halal?
Yes, all the meat is halal. The wagyu and lamb are halal Australian meat. The non wagyu beef is creekstone farms. I can't remember where the chicken is sourced, but the chef did say it was halal as well.
