left- burnt ends and brisket tacos right- wagyu birria taco

pretty disappointed with my experience here. we ordered: - 2 brisket tacos - 2 burnt ends tacos - 2 birria tacos - chile verde wings - esquites we were missing one birria taco and never got the esquites. our server didn't write down our order, came back after a minute to confirm our order, and still didn't input it correctly. i understand that its cinco de mayo and the kitchen/staff may be backed up, but i think the restaurant should make the appropriate adjustments to ensure customers get the right experience... overall, service was okay all the tacos came out cold (as if they were sitting for ~5 minutes). birria was dry. brisket was decent. burnt ends definitely had the most flavor out of the three we ordered. chile verde wings were our favorite out of everything we received. we came on a tuesday, so LUCKILY we got happy hour pricing and 50% off tacos. if you give this place a try, i'd recommend coming during happy hour/taco tuesday. pricing is definitely too much for what you actually get the concept of fusion barbecue was what interested us the most. unfortunately, the execution was lacking in multiple areas

I recently tried En Cultura BBQ at the Anaheim Packing District and I'm still dreaming about the food. The seating inside the restaurant is limited but there is plenty of seating inside the building. The service was quick, the staff is super knowledgeable. I ordered the elote riblets and the smoked Wagyu birria burger, and wow.... the burger was fire. The brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, topped with Oaxaca cheese, onions, and cilantro on a soft brioche bun. It also came with curly fries that were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The elote riblets were just as impressive. They were seasoned with crema de coco, tamari, lime, and a mild chile that added great flavor without any real heat. Super tasty and something different from your typical BBQ. My sister ordered the brisket fries, and those definitely didn't disappoint either, they were loaded with brisket, beans, and chipotle crema. Every bite was rich and satisfying. If you're at the Packing District, this spot is a must-try. Everything we had was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back!

Encultura *April 10th, 2026 *6pm- Friday *2 Stars Environment: *Inside Anaheim Packing District *Moderate Service *Moderate Parking Lot Food/Drink: *Smoked Wagyu Birria Bowl *Prime Brisket Bowl My sister and I decided to stop by Encultura while walking through the Anaheim Packing District because the smell and pictures of the food looked really good, which made us excited to try it. Unfortunately, the food ended up being a bit disappointing overall. We ordered two medium bowls, which came to be a little over $40, and for the portion size, it felt a bit overpriced. The smoked wagyu was tender and had good flavor, but the rice was very dry, with some parts even seeming undercooked, which really affected the dish. The prime brisket bowl was even heavier than expected, with noticeable puddles of oil sitting in the bowl. It made the meal feel overly greasy and hard to finish. That said, the staff was very nice and accommodating, especially when we asked to have certain toppings placed on the side, which we appreciated. Overall, while the service was positive, the food didn't quite meet expectations.

A Mexican/BBQ fusion counter service restaurant in the Anaheim Packing House. Visited on a Thursday evening, and the line wasn't long, but tons of orders were being made, so they might have a online take-out system available. Like a classic BBQ restaurant, you were able to create your own plate by ordering meats by the 1/4 pound. I typically don't got for chicken at BBQ spots, preferring the smoked red meats, but the chicken on this menu was listed as "brushed with mole; service with more for dipping," and I am a huge fan of mole! I ordered the chicken breast, brisket, and side of corn equite. As I mentioned, tons of orders were being picked up, so it did a significant amount of time for our food to be ready. My food came out 10+ minutes after my friend's who ordered more and directly before me. When looking my order, I noticed instead of a chicken breast, I got a cup of chopped chicken with no mole. I brought it back to the counter asking for additional mole for dipping (like stated on the menu), and was told they were out of mole for the day. Such a bummer because I would've chosen another meat option if I had known this would be the case! The brisket and corn were good, overall my favorite meat was the wagyu birria.

Walk up to the counter and order. Nachos. 9/10. Chips were fresh and it was fully loaded. They did not skimp on the toppings. Very tasty. Plenty of cheese and guacamole. Prime brisket taco. 9/10. Lots of flavor. Tons of meat. Birria taco. 7/10. A bit dry. Especially when compared to the brisket. Great option for dinner.

This place is located in the Anaheim Packing District. Parking is definitely a challenge but they do offer valet parking thus eliminating the parking challenges. The Anaheim Packing District is about 42,000 square feet and houses several different restaurants, bakeries and bars..it's a gourmet food hall. On Sunday, April 19, 2025, we decided to try Encultura (a bbq restaurant). EnCultura BBQ is a popular barbecue restaurant in the Anaheim Packing District known for its Texas-style BBQ with a Mexican twist, serving smoked meats like brisket, tri-tip, and wagyu, alongside unique items like smoked birria burgers and loaded fries, with a separate bar and halal options available. It's praised for its flavorful, slow-smoked meats. Here's what we ordered: 1. Elote Riblets for $12, featuring a distinct Mexican-inspired profile with crema de coco, tamari, lime, and chili morita. These charred corn ribs are a blend of savory, tangy, and spicy flavors. These are really good. Corn is nicely charred and sweet. 2. BBQ BRISKET PAPAS FRITAS! Crispy curly fries topped with smoky brisket, cilantro, onion, pickled jalapenos, chipotle crema and crumbled queso cotija on top. The brisket was amazing! Extremely tender and very flavorful. What I didn't care for were the curly fries, this dished would be so much better with regular crinkle cut fries or steak fries. Additionally, some melted creamy cheese would have made this more creamy and not as dry. I would only reorder if I had a different fry option. But if curly fries is your jam, then you will love this. 3. Chile-lime Tripas taco. The tripas were crispy and very flavorful. It was a standard Mexican taco. 4. Brisket taco. Again, their brisket is off the hook delicious and tender. Both tacos were good and would order again. 5. Smoked Wagyu Birria burger. Burger was freaking delicious and would definitely order again. It came with curly fries. The order prepping did take a bit but we weren't in a hurry so waiting wasn't a big issue. Overall, the food was good but a bit pricey. Since we ordered at the counter, I felt our service was rushed and menu board really didn't detail each item. I would have benefited from this bc had I known the fries were curly, I would have selected another item. Guy working register was friendly enough but I felt rushed. I'm not rating the ambiance since I used the walk-up counter.

Now, I understand that I'm eating here on Cinco De Mayo... but you would think the restaurant would staff more? I understand stuff happens. I'm sure the staff is doing their best with what they have, and I commend them. But again, it's suppose to be a busy day, should be better prepared for the situation? Sat at the bar area around 8pm. Was busy but luckily got bar seating. Wanted to take advantage of happy hour pricing (Tuesday). So ordered 6 tacos (birria, burnt ends, & brisket), 6 wings & corn. Bartender took our order, didn't write down our order, but had to double check back with us to confirm our order. When food came out, our order was wrong. Got one birria taco & our corn never came out. Tacos were sadly cold. Not ice cold, but cold. Given you're eating at a restaurant you want your food nice & hot. I have to say brisket & burnt ends were really good, and I just wish they were hot because it probably would've made them 10x better. Wings were exceptional! Enjoy them, they came out hot, so those were fine. Can't comment on the corn, because it didn't arrive. When the bill came out, and was as correct on what we received, which made it a little more disappointing because we did clarify exactly what we wanted (short 1 taco & no corn). If you go, highly recommend happy hour pricing (Monday - Thursday I believe), seems like it can get pricey at regular price. Overall, I want to like this place. But the cold food made it very disappointing. Might give it a try on a non-holiday Tuesday.

Love this place. It's located in the historic Anaheim Packing house. Wait staff is super friendly. Food is good, and the happy hour is to die for!

The food was excellent all around. The birria burger was absolutely delicious--juicy, flavorful, and packed with rich birria taste. The brisket fries were amazing and definitely perfect for sharing. The burnt ends burrito was another standout--loaded with flavor and cooked just right. On top of the great food, the service made the experience even better. Our bar server Karla was amazing--friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Great food, great service, and definitely worth coming back

I feel like I've been on a dry spell when it comes to biting into something that makes me go wow at first bite (not counting my usual favorite go-tos). Encultura finally ended said dry spell with a delicious brisket and burnt end tacos. Honestly at first I just wanted a quick bite since I literally had not eaten all day and it was already around 7 PM by the time I ordered. I had zero expectations and upon taking my first bite, I knew I had to order more. It was seriously that good. In fact, I ate half the taco in one bite and saved the other half for my friend. Let me tell you something. Fighting the urge to not scarf down that other half took immense self-control. Once she took a bite I knew we were both on the same page. We ordered another brisket taco and a burnt ends taco this time around. Personally I like the brisket just a little bit more if I HAD to choose, but both were absolutely phenomenal. And these tacos are LOADED. Sure, they're a bit pricey but the amount of meat you get with each one and the flavors make it easily worth it in my book. The pitmaster who I'm assuming might be the owner, showed me the beast of a smoker they have. As a side note I had a discussion about charcoal with some friends earlier that week at a friend's house and then I was given a brief tour of Encultura's smoker set up and I really feel like I'm truly getting in touch with being a man in this 30s. Anyway, aside from the food I LOVE the space outside. It's a perfect spot for daydrinking but also a really nice spot for a date as well. I seriously cannot wait to come back. I want to do the burnt ends with rice next time around, but definitely some more tacos too!

Swung by here for some tacos the other day. The brisket was delicious, but the bbq chicken one was surprisingly even better. It came with two sauces and the green one was delicious. The staff were helpful as I had never been before and gave me recommendations. I wasn't that hungry or I would've tried their epic-looking loaded fries or birria tacos. Next time! I'd recommend this place if you like bbq for sure.

Our order took a long time. It felt like they were prioritizing the people eating outside. And this Portion for $24 is abysmal. I understand inflation and all but man for the wait, why would you skimp is so hard?

Too Greasy! Not a healthy option
Vahd N.

So, this restaurant is on the second floor, and let's just say getting there is half the adventure, especially on weekends when parking is a circus. The area was buzzing with life, there was live music going on outside (not at the restaurant) but the food was sadly a letdown. Everything was so greasy and deep fried that I felt like I needed a gym membership just to survive the meal. Honestly, the taste was off, and I left feeling like my body was staging a protest. The staff was friendly, no complaints there, but waiting nearly 20 minutes for a burger and fries felt like an eternity. Even the loaded fries with asada were swimming in oil, as if they were taking a deep dive in a frying pool. I chose this place because of its glowing Yelp reviews, but I left wondering if the reviewers had different taste buds. The vibe was fine, the staff was nice, but the price had me feeling like I paid for a burger in a VIP restaurant.

Yes, all the meat is halal. The wagyu and lamb are halal Australian meat. The non wagyu beef is creekstone farms. I can't remember where the chicken is sourced, but the chef did say it was halal as well.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

Unfortunately, the inside of the Tiki Bar was closed for repairs/upgrades, but we ate on their very pleasant outdoor patio, and luckily, the weather was lovely. I'm not that into Hawaiian type food, no offense to Hawaiians whatsoever, so I found the menu to be a bit limiting. Since I just had a poke bowl the prior night, I didn't want another, even though it was probably what I would've ordered. Most other dishes were with pork, which I don't eat. Instead, I ordered chicken tenders, which is so NOT what I would EVER order, but I did on this day. The chicken was not overly greasy, and it had good flavor. The fries were even better. The poke bowl looked gorgeous, and the 3 others who got that said it was delicious, although not nearly as much salmon as they were hoping for... and it had way too much rice. (Those of us who had poke bowls from the previous night had loads of ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice.) My husband enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger, something I'd never get. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

It was 5 o'clock somewhere lol…read more This bar has prime real estate inside the great, Anaheim packing district. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)

Great spot on the 2nd level of the Anaheim Packing District. Friendly bartenders, but they have…read moreseating around all sides, so they might take a little while to get you your drink. They were playing some great 90s tunes and watching them make drinks, talk a little shit, and have fun was great to watch! I only had a single beer (local lager that the bartender recommended) as I was waiting for a reservation at another spot, but I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.

On our recent trip to Disneyland, and as guests of the Disneyland Hotel, I learned of The Broken…read moreSpell Lounge just a day prior to arrival in Anaheim. This is a lovely Sleeping Beauty forrested theme lounge, and while it is small, we had no issue in waiting for a table both times we visited this Lounge. We went to the Broken Spell on our day of arrival, and David was an excellent server! I already knew I was going to order the charcuterie pizza, and asked David for a recommendation on cocktails. David recommended the Raven's Wing, and the presentation and smokey flavor did NOT disappoint. The charcuterie pizza was delicious and large enough to satisfy the appetite of two people with leftovers. I also tried the Benevolent Fairy drink which comes in three seperate potion glasses and was so much fun. While it was a great drink, I preferred the Raven's Wing! Server David was very kind and very attentive, checking on us regularly to ensure a great experience. On our last day, we stopped in on our way to the airport so we had our luggage. We were immediately seated, and greeted by a server named Gloria. When she saw our bags, she thought we were just arriving, and gave a very detailed rundown of the cocktails and food. We were only there for one last round of the Raven's Wing cocktail, and were promptly served given our time constraints. I look forward to returning to The Broken Spell Lounge!

Great service. Great…read morefood and drinks. The Make It Blue Make It Pink is so good. Great truffle fries, light, not too oily. My turkey sandwich with avocado was excellent, and filling. I had to take half to go. One son liked his fish 'n chips. The other super picky kid liked his chicken sandwich. The ambiance is nice. Cozy velour couches in pretty jewel tones and low lighting. I do wish they had some higher tables available for diners, but that's quibbling. It should be way more busy than it is. Good food that veers from the usual amusement park offerings is harder to find in the California parks than the Florida parks.
