He explained the situation with the cup, even though I had been there the night before and received a full-size one. After 30+ years of coming here, this one experience doesn't change the fact that we've had so many good experiences at this location. Looking back, I realize I should have left positive reviews for all the other times we've been here because we truly do love this location and will continue to come back. I simply asked for a to-go tea, and THIS is what I was handed. A literal kids-size/micro cup. What makes it even more frustrating is that this was my second time here this week. I've continued to come back and support this business, but this kind of service is ridiculous. I also seem to always end up with the same cranky employee who barely speaks English and, honestly, comes across as a little judgmental toward me. So I have to wonder... was I given this tiny cup because of that? Maybe. ‍ Either way, after 30+ years of being a loyal customer, you would think a little more consideration would be shown. Shame on you guys. This was incredibly disappointing and may have officially been the final straw. It came with three pieces of chicken, but I didn't want to speak up because it was a lunch special but three pieces of chicken they made one taco which I thought was shocking and then I had the chimichanga burrito which was really small and I've ordered these both before as lunch petrol and they've never been this small portion size before I'm sorry I should've left that in my original review so the comment of meh I didn't have anything to do with the drink size I received. read more

Our experience at Rodrigo's wasn't too bad! We went on a Friday night and got sat about 5 minutes after they cleaned the table. The table was a bit dirty and server did take a while to come back after our whole party arrived. But drinks were delish, the carne asada nachos was big, but a the meat was a bit dry, same with the fajitas. Don't expect much from the food, but the prices are pretty good for the portion sizes. The most important thing I'm reviewing is they always have some sort of margarita special. It's always something tropical like banana or pineapple. They do not use coconut in these drinks! Been here a few times with friends and to treat my dad out on a Sunday morning. I have always had great service and waiters are always providing great and fast service. Parking lot is huge so no worries on trying to find a parking. It does get a little busy for happy hour and on Sunday mornings once everyone is out of church. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and the decor is refreshing. I usually order the taco plate with rice and beans or the carne asada plate to make my own tacos. Food is pretty good and everything has a great taste. Portions are pretty big and I always have to take leftovers home with me. Overall, great place to enjoy lunch, a weekend breakfast, or dinner. As I've said it before I will say it again I am a huge Mexican food fan and when in California I have to try and find the best Mexican and my family said this was the best. We were out celebrating my uncle's 92nd birthday and when I saw there was Mole on the menu I had to try. Upon the first bite I knew the choice I made was the right one. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of parking. Service is fast I saw complaints from a few years ago, that the portions are two small. That is not the case now. A one item combo is plenty. Monday through Friday lunch specials are a good buy. Cons: No one can accuse Rodrigo's of being authentic. Everything I have ordered is Americanized. A coworker born in Mexico who often would pit barbecue a goat ate there once and complained for weeks. It is a bit pricy to visit often. Save it for special occasions. Will we cont bye to eat there? Girl at counter didn't acknowledge us, but instead turned to an employee too busy buttoning up his hot pepper work shirt in front of us and both engaged in personal conversation and not even acknowledging us. A third person came around the corner sat us down, we ordered drinks and dinner. My husband ordered carnitas plate and when it came out it was dry and burnt with two large green onions covering it. It was like something you left overnight in a fry pan. It looked nice at first, but when the onion was moved to the side, I was appalled by what was served! Sad that the chef and the waiter would allow such crappy food to leave the kitchen and yet had the balls to cover it up with green onions - shameful! I use to come here all the time as a kid and it was delicious. After COVID the food and service went downhill. My family and I decided to try it out again and they're very skimpy with the food. If you order the fajitas ask for light vegetables because they'll fill your plate with onions with only 3 small pieces of meat. On top of that the waiter wouldn't come back to our table at all I had to go to the bar to ask for water and limes after I asked the waiter 3 times. When we were done eating my dad paid in cash and left a tip on the table. My family and I were waiting outside on the benches while my grandpa used the restroom and the waiter Hugo ran outside telling my dad he had to pay for the food. What a complete and utter let down. Our family has enjoyed this restaurant for years. Unfortunately quality and service has been lacking since the name change. This evening was the deal breaker for our loyalty and choice for Mexican. The food we ordered was subpar, the size of a taco has shrunk and the burrito is comparable to a breakfast burrito from McDonald's. As for the complimentary chips, no more, policy change. Another great experience at Rodrigo's. We noticed their menu has been updated, but from what I can tell the offerings remained mostly the same. I opted for the Tostada Fajita salad. I wish it had shredded lettuce rather than Romain, and didn't love the dressing they covered it in. I would order again but sub these two things. I also think they served me the Tostada Grande, because I did not have any actual fajitas in the salad. But didn't realize that until I looked back at the photo.
