Looks can be deceiving. The food was delicious. I brought my mom and dad and usually they always have something they don't like about a restaurant. Not at this one. They loved everything they had. I came during New Year's Day and it was packed with what seems a lot of online orders. Due to the busy day, we were made to wait outside to be called on. Understandable. I wish this place was bigger but that's just a note for the business and not a point against them. I'm so glad I came here as the pictures match what is being sold. Lots of variety with not just the food but coffee as well. If you're a coffee drinker, you'd enjoy breakfast here. I had the chilaquile plate and side of french toast and ice coffee. Very delicious. NEVER AGAIN! Get it together ownership and management!!! Great marketing and social media presence but horrible food! I really was hoping for the chance to try this place out after seeing their social media videos so finally I had the chance to visit since I was near their gardena location and had time to take a lunch break, we were greeted and seated right away since the place was not too busy, right away I noticed that they either don't have busboys or the servers clean their own tables because they had multiple tables with the dirty plates still on them, server brought a warm mini concha which it was a nice touch and good marketing for their future panaderia business opening next door which I can already know it will be overpriced pan dulce lol after my first cup of coffee I had to flagged down a couple servers to ask for a refill but both said my server will be coming by soon?? Wtf? Even if it's not your table you should be able to get any cystomer a refill on their coffee I mean the place is small and they were not that busy anyways, so my coworker ordered the steak and eggs and I ask my server if the chile verde was a popular dish ? He said it's a very popular one and then I asked from 1 to 10 how spicy is it? He said a 5 or 6 so I said fine I would like to try it, I couldn't even eat the salsa which it was more like a 11 out of 10 lol, again the place was not that busy and they still took 30 minutes to bring our food out , I mean my plate only requires to pour the chile verde ,rice and beans on a plate and still 30 minutes to cook a very small portion of steak seems ridiculous, my coworker plate looked more like a kids meal than anything else lol he eat it so fast than even the server told him oh you must be a fast eater lol well when there is so little food in the plate anybody will be a fast eater lol and my plate was looking as SAD as hell lol I mean I'm not specting 2 lbs of pork on my plate but for 17 dollars I will expect at least plenty of rice and beans on a plate , this place is the only place in the world where the chile verde is orange/red color lol nothing like the picture on their menu , again the server was not on top of my coffee refill so at that point I was just ready to get the hell of that place, I was reading online about the owners of the place and It was a cool story of how they started their business but you can already tell that they lost their touch by growing too fast or not paying attention to the basics (menu and customer service ) the menu looks just all over the place what's next? Are you going to serve Chinese food on your menu?? Remember sometimes less items done well are way better than a 200 item menu and serving sad looking plates lacking flavor and presentation. This place had a lot of great reviews and they did not disappoint us. I had the crispy chicken salad with Thousand Island dressing. One coworker had enchiladas and the other the parmesan veggie sandwich. My salad was very good. I had a big breakfast so I was hoping for something light but delicious and I had a great pick although their breakfast specials look so good. We ate outside and while both my vendors went inside to use the restroom I did not go inside to see what it looked like. I came solo today 03/27/22 was seated right away (and was given the menu) +1! Awesome. Employees were polite +1! Food(sausage, eggs) wasn't too bad +1! Here's the downfall... Wasn't busy for a Sunday with the amount of workers there, and unfortunately didn't get a waitress to my table after like 10-15 mins. Didn't get checked on a lot to the point where I had to ask the employee if she can please get me coffee. Pancakes were somewhat dry. I understand every restaurant has their own way of making hotcakes but these weren't it (for my taste buds at least). Overall, I'm never rude to employees so I just politely waited for my order, asked kindly for refills, etc... Will probably stop by again later on this year. As she was waiting a dog started barking, relentlessly. The manager approached and asked if she could please have her dog stop barking. She exclaimed that, the dog was a service animal and that it was barking because people where approaching her. Searched this place up on Yelp and they had good reviews so we stopped by. Wait was around 30 minutes. Then when we got seated and ordered we had to wait 40 minutes for our food. We were understanding since it was quite busy. Our server never ever came back to check on us. We had to ask for a menu because we wanted to order more but she never came back until the very end when we finished everything. We had to flag down other servers because ours was no where to be found. We went with 7 people and if they were to had added automatic gratuity we would've asked to have it taken off.
