As an Inglewood resident, I truly appreciate seeing another quality coffee shop open in the neighborhood--but what I love even more is that Luua Caffe is also a great breakfast and lunch destination. This was my third visit in the last month, and each experience has been excellent. On my first visit, I enjoyed a Hot Honey Lavender Latte with a pastry. My second visit was for an Iced Vanilla Latte, and today I stopped in planning to grab an Iced Honey Vanilla Latte to go. Instead, I decided to stay for lunch, and I'm so glad I did. The café is clean, inviting, and the staff is genuinely friendly. I was greeted by the owner/manager, who took the time to welcome me and check in throughout my meal to make sure everything was to my liking. That level of hospitality goes a long way. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical about ordering Mediterranean food from a neighborhood coffee shop, but that skepticism disappeared after the very first bite. I ordered the white meat chicken kabob plate with hummus, garlic sauce, rice, and pita, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly marinated, tender, and full of the authentic Mediterranean flavors I know and love. It was clear this wasn't an afterthought on the menu--it was prepared with care and quality ingredients. Before leaving, I couldn't resist taking home a few pieces of baklava for the family, and they were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. I'm happy to say I've found my new local spot whenever I'm craving a great coffee, breakfast, or a satisfying lunch or dinner plate. Popped in on a Saturday afternoon. The decor is whimsical and calming. They have a robust menu but we opted for small bites- butter croissant, blueberry muffin, lavender matcha and strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade tastes like they use real strawberries and had great flavor. The matcha was made well, although the lavender was more of a hint of flavor. Will start by saying the coffee is GREAT; love the blend that they use! When in the area, I have tried a couple of food items which were fine, but sad to say the Greek salad is a bit of a rip off. It looks more like salsa than a proper Greek salad. Still giving 4 stars as I'm sure they'll work the kinks out! read more

Overall an okay experience. I would give it a 4 star because the food taste fresh and the staff working hard but it felt a bit unorganized and way too crowded. We waited 30-45 minutes for our food. Most people around us waited longer for their food than they took to eat it. Came last Saturday around 10:30am and it was busy. So the seating situation is first come first serve. The cafe is pretty small especially when it's busy and it gets too crowded. We got an omelette and the breakfast sandwich which were both good. They both came with potatoes which I really liked the sweetness of. Got the strawberry matcha and reg matcha latte which I do not recommend. The drinks are great, and the pastries are good too -- I'd personally love them just a little softer inside, but still enjoyable. Cute little place. I know everyone raves about the taste of the coffee but that wasn't my experience I had the horchata iced coffee and it wasn't what I was expecting. It wasn't terrible but it just wasn't for me. The guy at the register did say that was the number one seller. The place is for sure good to catch up with someone or do homework or work. So far, I've met Pedro and Lili and they are so kind and attentive to their customers. As for the coffees, I love their lattes. I've had the flavored lattes (specifically caramel and hazelnut) and the Horchata latte (which is so far my fave). Their chilaquiles are BOMB. I highly recommend. I have been wanting to try this place. My family and I love to try new places near us. So we finally had the chance for take out last week. My husband went to pick up the food and said the place was really nice. The desserts and everything looked really good. When he got home we took all the food out and noticed there were 2 items missing. Our chocolate croissant and strawberry roll. I immediately called and was told they didn't have any and was refunded. I thanked them. We tried the food and it was delicious! The horchata iced latte was really good too. We are excited to go back soon. However, I tried calling today because I have not received my refund yet but also wanted to place an order. It just rang straight to voicemail that has not been set up. I also contacted grubhub since we ordered through Yelp and they said they had no record of the restaurant contacting them for a refund on items.
