My apartment or the county that I lived in did not offer any bulky pickup item services and furniture donations to the American Red Cross are super picky. I submitted multiple requests to junk removal services and Point N Junk was the most competitive with both communication and pricing. They got back to me right away and I jumped to hire them because they offered to come to my place SAME DAY and they also offered $80 while other companies were quoting me $165 - $200. When they got to my apartment, it was a super quick and easy process. They were 2 men and had a pickup truck ready and were very nice. I'm not sure where it goes to, unfortunately; I hope that they try to donate it first before it ends up in a landfill. I highly recommend them if you're out of options in getting rid of old, unwanted furniture. They don't ask for a tip but please consider giving a little bit of cash for each guy. When I contacted customer service, I was redirected from the national line to a local office, where I was told I "should not have been told that" and was advised to use my paid service receipt as a tax write-off instead. That is not an acceptable substitute for a legitimate donation receipt. I also reviewed your website and found no clear public-facing policy stating that donation receipts are not provided--yet your team explicitly told me I would receive one. He apologized profusely and says that no one had informed him of this service issue. He said that he himself is going to go by my house this afternoon and pick up the piece. Apparently, this has identified a process failure within his company, and he promised to correct it so it doesn't repeat. Props to Phillip for taking ownership of the issue instead of handing it off to someone else to resolve. If he keeps his word and the piece gets picked up I wll come back and improve my rating . EDIT 2 - Phillip was true to his word and picked up the trunk before I returned home. As promised, I have increased my rating from a 2 to a 4 star. Originally I had planned to raise it to a 3 star if the trunkhad been collected, but in recognition of the fact that Phillip understands that talk is cheap but actions are putting your money where your mouth is, as he left a small token of apology at my door.
