This restaurant came as a recommendation and I would recommend it to someone else. Now we went at a decent time, but say close to a huge party so the server was stretched thin; however, the overall experience wasn't bad. The food took a minute to come out but taste fresh! The drink menu offers a variety and with the servers helped I made a great selection. There is definitely something for everyone!

This is a go-to for comfort food. Whether it's sweet or savory, LoLo's has something to fit the taste. The waffles are filling. The fried chicken was good. The grits won me over.

I came to Lola's chicken and waffles and sat for over an hour after I placed my order to be told after sitting for an hour did they no longer have any chicken breast and I could get the plate for $25 with three legs or three That was crazy to me that you wouldn't even make a price adjustment for not being able to offer what you took my order for very disappointed and don't think I'll be coming back I only got a drink there was not all that for $17

    Apple Martini was really good

This joint was just okay. The best part was the cocktail. The food was good but nothing stands out. Service was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They play good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Finally stopped into Lo-Lo's and was not disappointed. My sister raves about this place so my expectations were pretty high going in. For starters, every staff member was super kind! All smiles and eager to help, my kind of customer service! We were seated shortly after arrival, with no reservation, so that was nice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We dined in for Sunday brunch, nice sized crowd & the football games were on the TVs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Kevin, was so sweet and attentive. For the table: Fried catfish - amazing! Not too greasy, cooked perfectly and battered/seasoned well. Kevin confirmed that the fish is cooked in separate oil, win for me when I'm eating pescatarian. Waffle - delicious! Personally, I don't like my waffles crunchy so happy to report theirs were soft and fluffy! They add cinnamon to their batter which is a nice touch. Grits - both the cheese and regular were enjoyed! Cornbread - solid! A nice helping of butter served on top. Margarita - also solid! [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only "pain point" would be that the building could use an update inside but clean nonetheless.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Shrimp and grits. I'm picky and this passed the test. Roll just a roll didn't eat it.

Can never go wrong with good ol Chicken & Waffles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location has ample parking and was fairly empty when I arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service was great though, my waitress didn't mention any of the happy hour specials to me until I inquired. I ordered the Toy Toy which included two chicken wings and one waffle which was more than enough for me. I also added blue kool-aid which came in a large mason jar and an order of blackened shrimp deviled eggs. All were the good taste of a home cooked meal to me. And thanks to the waitress for the glass of water as well because the kool-aid was a bit on the sweet side.

My daughter & I went yesterday evening and enjoyed our meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hadn't been since they changed locations - I really like the space they're in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was no wait when we arrive but still a good sized crowd there. We were seated and our server came right over. We got our blue Kool-aid and reviewed the menu. My daughter wanted to try the hot honey shrimp deviled eggs so we got 2 and she ate them. I'll take her word for it that they were good because I didn't get to have one. Lol I ordered the two wings + waffle and she got the 3 pieces + 2 waffles. No complaints on the food... delicious.

My goodness this place crazy packed today. Not sure if it's cuz of Sunday but I had to get my food to go cuz of the wait was so bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But I would prefer not to hear all that secular music anyways.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Actually my first time here. And found out from their shirts they had several of these. Even in other states. The food was good. I can't believe how many black people gave it bad reviews. I gave it a good review and I didn't even like the atmosphere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Felt like walking into a club which I don't do. I had both fried and blackened catfish. Both was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Too much salt in that butter dip tho. That biscuit gotta be the best one I ever had. And it didn't flake up and break like all the others. Only other place like that is babes chicken. They make they greens just like I make mines in chicken broth. I know that taste anywhere. Prices was insane. Almost 5 bucks for a large Dr Pepper. I can get two 2 liters for that price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I could deal without that loud music playing. Who in the world needs music to eat?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really hate this about most restaurants. And can't stand a bar atmosphere either. As I don't drink. Can't even stand the site or smell of it. Other than that it was good eating.

We've passed by this location many times and finally decided to pop in since we were in the area. There's plenty of parking around this location and we arrived before dinner rush so were seated right away! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and the staff was very friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came during happy hour so grabbed a few drinks and the fried green tomatoes. The drinks were good but needed more alcohol. The fried green tomatoes were a good too but I wasn't a fan of the sauce it came with. We shared the soulfood platter, which came with plenty of food for the two of us. The catfish and chicken had really good flavor on the batter and the collared greens were probably our favorite thing of the meal. The fries tasted either refreshed or undercooked and the cornbread and biscuit tasted reheated as well. I think if we got the food fresh, it would be better.

I finally made it here with my husband and mother-in-law, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was amazing--so sweet and super knowledgeable about the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was perfect too; their playlist was full of 90s R&B, which happens to be my favorite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For an appetizer, we tried the shrimp deviled eggs--so good! I ordered the catfish with mac and cheese and collard greens, and it was incredible. My husband also went with the catfish, paired with okra, and loved it. The drinks were just as tasty, and I especially loved the big mason jars they serve them in. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next day and even asked for the same server--Cathy. Her service is truly A1! I only wish they had one of these restaurants in New York, but I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in Texas again.

Yes! The best chicken and waffles ever. Craving juicy chicken? Go. Craving waffles with butter and syrup? Gooooooo!

Went to visit my friend in Texas, this was also my first time in Texas ever. He told me about this cool little brunch spot to grab a bite to eat at. Thankfully he made a reservation and I recommend you do as well. Walks ins are welcome but it will be a wait. The energy of this place was great including how amazing our waitress was. She was very patient and was knowledgeable of the menu. She was also helpful in guidance of what I should have as a first timer there. Got the chicken and waffles which was $14 for the plate. If you get the traditional combo of the drum and thigh it will be $11 instead. Both very reasonable. The chicken was succulent, and juicy and fried to perfection. Super flavorful and well sized. And they have their own hot sauce that meshes with the meat perfectly. Also really good waffles as well. Cooked well but still a bit soft on the inside. They put cinnamon and sugar in the waffle as well, which was a nice touch. The butter also seems like it's either really high quality of locally made. So rich, and creamy. Highly recommend if you are in the Dallas or Irving Texas go eat and enjoy.

Amazing brunch but the prices are a little higher than usual for brunch. Go turn up and have fun here and enjoy some great food.

Who can remember what used to be in this location? It had kind of a Sunday Brunch / French countryside vibe to it. Omelettes come to mind.

    It was Mimi’s Cafe.

I need reservation for tomorrow at 11 am?

They don't make reservations. You must get in line on YELP. It will let you know the anticipated time for you to be seated.

Are you actually open yet in your new location?

I ordered the pork chop plate, and the server kindly let me try both a fried pork chop and a smothered one since I couldn't make up my mind. I also had fried cabbage and yams. The cabbage had a little unexpected heat to it, but that's actually the same way my family cooks theirs, so I ended up really enjoying it. One thing that stood out to me was the staff. I'm not sure if the restaurant is always staffed this way, but I was genuinely impressed that all the front-line workers were men -- and every single one of them was courteous, respectful, patient, and mindful of each customer. While I enjoyed my meal, I watched them treat each person who walked in with the same positive energy and attentiveness. If you're in the area, go support this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, and the service all made my first visit a memorable one.

The young man who answered the phone was very kind and ensured he had my order correct. Even verified I was ok with paying over the phone before he took my order. I arrived about 15 minutes later and once inside the cashier called for my order number then requested to see the card I paid with and my ID. In today's world it's comforting to know there are businesses verifying identity! Kudos!! Once seated at home I opened my container to hot fried catfish, tomatoes and okra, Mac n cheese and hot water cornbread. My first bite of everything was very good and seasoned to perfection. I got so full so quick that I wasn't able to finish but it made for perfect leftovers later that day. On to the desserts! My mom got a slice of pecan pie and I enjoyed the strawberry cake. Both were tasty and prepared perfectly! I will stop in again for fried pork chops when it's time for an off plan meal.
