All I have to say this was an absolute masterpiece of a breakfast. We had chilaquiles with green sauce, Mexican omelette and a strawberry Nutella crepe. The waitresses were so nice and friendly. I think this is our new breakfast spot. Can't wait to try for lunch

Read the recent reviews on the poor service and the bad food ratings. However, we have always received great service and the food has been superb. So we had to go and determine if the recent reviews were accurate. All I can say is this - perhaps the reviewers had a bad day. Our service has and continues to be "spot on". We have not been here for awhile (6-8 months) but our server still remembered us and our favorite beverage and even what we generally order. The food still taste authentic. My only "dig" is that the portions have been larger in the past. At least the prices are the same. review update 1/10/20 Nostalgia brought us back here. it has been several years since we ate here. what has changed...a lot. Should have read the reviews before coming back. The health inspection notice on the front door should have cautioned us. However, we figured after it was recently shut down but recently reopened is a good indication that all the problems have been taken care of...right? It also looks like new owners. We did not recognize any staffers from before. When we asked our server, she seemed hesitant to answer our question. hmmm. We ordered our food and decided to read the recent Yelp reviews. Yikes! We picked up our gear and was ready to leave but our food arrived. Well shoot. Let's give it a try. We noticed several distinct differences: 1) the chile verde had no flavor of tomatillos and vinegar but the pork was tender. Tasted like watered down pork stew. We also ordered the dinner entree and what arrived was a lunch portion. WTH!!! 2) #4 combo: portions were definitely reduced from before. The beef and pork tasted the same. the chile rellano and tamale looked like it came from a pre-package variety- blah. The kicker: you can always tell how sanitary a kitchen is by how clean the proprietor maintains the bathrooms. Let's just say, it needed some deep cleaning with gallons of clorox to sanitize this area...gross. Will we come back...not unless the yelp reviews improve. There are definitely better mexican restaurants in the area. Too bad. it used to be a hidden gem.

I have been going here since I was 19 years old, that's... 10, 20, 30 plus years ago. Still tastes the same! Perfect salsa and chips. Yummy, home style cooked comfort food and the best customer service. So many places come and go but not Urbano's Stopped by today for lunch after visiting the cemetery to say "hello" to my dad. He and I used to go to Urbano's, or as he called it "The Mexicans" all the time. Staff here treats you like family and it's always a winner. Thanks Urbano's for not changing and bringing back so many good memories. Until next time.

4-27-2018. A place we found while driving, on a hunt for FOOD. We decided to stop in give them a try. At first we walked out, with frustrations, on this not being a restaurant. Van advised me this WAS a restaurant. Hey, I was wrong (for once) lol Im glad we walked back in. The counter to order food was towards the back. I guess I just got confused with all the Mexican food, spices, deserts and Mexican bread you can buy off the shelves. My first impression, was a mini market. Sitting there sipping on an ice cold corona while waiting for this authentic Mexican food to be delivered to our table. Upon arrival, I anxiously snapped a few photos for my review and dug right into them soft tacos. Boy these were delicious. I had to order more... After devouring my sippi sip and tacos, I walked around the "mini market" and browsed at all the things you can purchase. If Im ever in need to truly Mexican product, I know where to go. However, we did load up on some fresh Mexican bread. Always room in the belly for sweet bread. My car became a scene of sugar and cookie crumbs all over, including my fashion. lol I highly recommend this establishment to all who enjoy authentic Mexican food, treats and products.

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

The hostess greeted us with a question. "You ladies came to drink or to eat?" She asked. We came for both! We sat outside near the entrance way. It was a nice shaded corner and it gave some privacy from the plants that were decorated along the entry way. The menu was small and interesting. First hour is happy hour $2 off drinks and $10 off food. I'd say this place is perfect for drinks and apps. There isn't a big variety for entree's. But those appetizers were the show! Our Order: grilled riblets, garnish shrimp pieces, watermelon tomato salad beef sliders French fries and the blackened salmon. The ribs-10/10 fall off the bone seasoned well with some kind of green sauce at the bottom. The garlic shrimp- 10/10 in chili garlic oil with focaccia bread. Watermelon tomato salad- 10/10 feta cheese always takes the show! Beef sliders- 10/10 us just being greedy but so good. French fries- 9/10 decent portion! Blackened salmon- 8/10 compared to how flavorful the appetizer's were it made the salmon lack in taste. Something was missing but it was still good loved the coconut milk flavor in the jasmine rice! All in all 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Our server, Jaden, came over to the table right away to introduce himself, provide water, and ask if I wanted to get started with any drinks. I decided to wait for my friends to arrive, and while waiting, I took a look at the food and drink menu. Upon arrival of the two friends, we ordered cocktails first and then decided on food. I ordered the Pink Pony and later the cosmopolitan, and eggs benedict for breakfast. My meal was quite delicious and I finished every morsel on my plate. The poached eggs were done perfectly and I really enjoyed the potatos. We were seated in the interior dining room to the left of the entry and I did not check out the other interior areas of the restaurant, but I loved the Mid Century Modern / Palm Springs vibe. I especially loved the "fly fan" on each table to use because the bar behind where we were sitting was open to the outside. We did not have an issue with flies but the fans are a nice and considerate touch. Jaden provided excellent customer service, checking back as our drinks got low, and checking back on the food, which we all very much enjoyed. When we left there was some live music outside, but we did not stay as it was a pretty warm Sunday on 6/14/26, but I will most definitely return. I'm especially looking forward to returning in the evening when the weather gets a little cooler toward the end of summer. This is a really fun place, with great food and great service!
