    Tapas off the bar

After getting up at 4am, traveling, and sightseeing all day I wanted somewhere super close so I could satisfy my tapas craving and then immediately crawl into bed. This place was like 2-3 places down from my hotel. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Got in at 7 and it was dead. I'm not a European eater so a bit early for the crowd. Never mind as we could sit and have a quiet meal with fast service to boot. They have their tapas out on the bar. You can pick what you want by the stick and pay accordingly. These are not on the larger menu and change slightly everyday. I believe it was just under €2 a stick and €3-€4 for what was in a plate. So compared to some other places we looked at, not terribly expensive. Swiped a plate full and was pleasantly surprised by a few combinations of things that were delicious. The breaded chicken on guac was bomb and so was the salmon filled with cream cheese. Also got a sangria that went down way too easily and was so freaking good. I could've had one more but with how exhausted I was I may not have made the few steps back to my hotel. Should've gone here the second night like I planned as it was such a good dining experience, but I didn't. We all have our regrets. Good first experience here.

Not sure if it was the timing of when we went (~11pm), but we stayed there for close to an hour and I don't think there were new dishes being put out, none that I saw at least. Seemed like a slower night, so that's understandable, but as a diner hoping to see what's fresh coming out of the kitchen, the experience was just a little underwhelming. There was enough selection to say the offerings were diverse, but knowing (or not knowing?) how long the food had been sitting out, I just wasn't sure... but clearly I was ok with that because we ate there knowing very well what we were getting into, and I understand these pintxo bars are part of the local culture which was fun to experience (was just out of my comfort zone :)). Giving 3 stars because the service was good and certainly there was enough selection, but I just wasn't wow'ed or floored by the taste of any particular dishes. Ordered the squid ink croquettes and patatas bravas based off some recs I viewed on yelp, but wasn't really a fan of either, sorry. I can totally see this place being a fun cheap spot to hangout with a large group of friends or after drinking though!

Tapas on tapas on tapas....... We causally strolled in on a Tuesday night, when they have there 1€ pinchos special! How they work is they have cold tapas set up, with small and larger toothpicks, and at the end, they count your picks and determine your cost, similar to conveyor belt sushi. And almost every hour on the hour, they set out new tapas! We opted to get their pinchos, and ordered the goat cheese salad and their squid dish. Their pinchos were a little cold cause they were out for awhile, but she was able to warm them up, and new pinchos came out within 20 minutes so I was a happy camper. The salad was refreshing, with the fresh greens, the pear and the goat cheese with the balsamic dressing, it was delicious. On to the squid dish, it was served on a bed of potatoes. They both worked well with each other because the potatoes were a little bland and the squid was a bit salty, so together they were perfect. However, the potato to squid ratio was way off, so much potatoes. On top of all their great pinchos, beers were 2.6€??? Like ok, I'm going to live here forever. 100% will be back for more pinchos! Happy eatings!

Delicious and cheap food! Friendly staff! The staff speaks good English and explained our ordered well. Good choice for food! I will recommend this restaurant to all person in Barcelona! We ordered a seafood piella and a steak. Also with tapas (octopus and salmon with cheese?) Drinks are cola and coffee with milk. This is my favorite restaurant in Barcelona

We made a last minute decision to stop here while sightseeing in Barcelona. The place has a great, upbeat vibe. The hardest part about coming here is deciding on which pinchos to have and convincing yourself to stop. We counted a whopping 25 pinchos between by husband and I and they were all amazing. Sit near the kitchen so you have first dibs when that bell rings, as they usually don't make it to the pincho bar. Cañas were perfect. One month later, we are still talking about. A must-visit for a quick, inexpensive lunch in Barcelona, but be warned, once you start, you can't stop!

What an great restaurant. Don't judge by the front door, step inside and experience the food! My first time but we are for sure coming back.

It's a help yourself place. Grab a plate and take what you like. They charge you based on the skewers/toothpick count at the end. The food is prepared ahead of time so it was kind of stale. Look out for the items they bring out, which they seem to do every 15 mins or so. Small toothpick 1€ options are very limited (actually only saw 2 options) and the skewers were more - something like 1.60€ or 1.90€ - can't recall now). It's good for a snack and beer but would not recommend for a lunch or dinner.

The pepper was not spicy at all. It was good iberico meat food!

Good atmosphere in this restaurant! Unlike other restaurants I have been in Spain, the server received my order very quickly... And I ordered two foods and both foods were soooo good...! Squid's sauce has interesting flavor! Sadly, this restaurant doesn't sell paella to solo traveler :-(... Overall, it was satisfying experience for me!

Fun place to pick up some tasty pintxos (snacks typically served on sliced bread) . You can select from several cold pintxos with toothpicks in them. You can also order hot ones form the kitchen. They also had like three menu items, a burger, an entrecote steak and another sandwich that I can't remember. All of the foods tasted great. It was a really cheap meal as it was like 1.50 (euro) each.

    First round food.

Wow - what a find! Right on the same block as our hotel! They serve exclusively pinxos, which are small open faced sandwiches layered with heavenly ingredients -- it's self-serve -- grab some and sit down, and they will get your drink. And then get up and get more. And more. Yum. Very reasonable prices. Sorry we found this on our last day... Only drawback is they don't have outdoor seating.

Fun little American beer bar style place in Barcelona…read more I've been here twice, and enjoyed both times! The beer selection is vast and great, I've enjoyed their wheat beer, as well as lagers. The wings are good too, my favs were garlic Parmesan, buffalo & buffalo mild. I love that they offer free water lol This is a great place for groups of about 4-8 anything more and you may not be able to fit on the same table. It's a fun pregame place, and I recommend it.

This is definitely a great spot for anyone into American beer hall vibes while in Barcelona - plenty of seating and TV's throughout to watch games or other things. You order up at the counter, and we just got a pitcher of beer when we went later at night, as the food service had ended. I do kind of wish we could've had the chance to still get some food, as other tables that had some from earlier looked really tasty. Nevertheless, the vibes were great and the beers hit the spot here. What more can I say?! It was bright, airy, and comfortable inside - perfect for hanging out! I think this is a great option - especially for American tourists, but also for just anyone that wants to have a spot that's chill and fun to hang out at. I definitely recommend!
