It was so hard to keep up with the mess and pet fur especially with a new baby in the house. I was on the fence of getting a cleaner but am so glad I did. I have it scheduled for every two weeks and look forward to the days they come and clean. Shout out to Team Luz for always doing such an amazing job!!

Found this company through their amazing Yelp reviews and their services did not disappoint. I…read morescheduled a deep clean and have since scheduled regular cleanings twice a month. They've converted me as I wasn't previously someone who wanted to go through what I thought was a hassle to have cleaners come in, but Capital Maids makes it easy and the end results are just wow. Getting an estimate and the first cleaning scheduled was easy--super responsive, and the team arrived promptly at my requested time. Man, did they get down to business quickly, carefully, and did an amazing job. I'd meant to do a "pre-cleaners' clean" to move a lot of clutter out of the way and get bags of unfolded laundry put in the closet so that they had a clearer workspace: when I saw how they had straightened up my bedroom in addition to cleaning, I breathed a huge sigh of relief! My half-finished organizing projects and haphazard stacks of things waiting to be weeded through were all neatly arranged and order was restored, in addition to the vacuuming and dusting, plus flawless bed made. The jumbles of clothes on my "chairderobe" (you know, that piece of furniture that collects unfolded clean clothes and clothes that don't need to be washed) were all impeccably smoothed and expertly folded. I was working from home in another room and they didn't bother me with questions or make much noise, just politely asked me to move to a clean room once they needed to work on the room I was in. Bathrooms are sparkling, kitchen stove top looks almost new, visual order has been restored in my family room, lol. The end result: a nice reboot on my two bed, two bath condo that had been neglected for too long and needed a good top to bottom clean. Treat yo self and schedule a cleaning with Capital Maids--you won't be disappointed and it will be such a relief to have one less item on your to-do list.

When I got back there were still a few parts of the floor I had to scrub because it seemed like only a quick swiffer went over it. My girlfriend recommended Lorita to me and I've been having her clean my apartment for the last few…read moremonths. I use her every time I have a guest stay at my house. She's really terrific - I can txt her to schedule visits and she is really really flexible with my weird time constraints on getting my condo cleaned. She's always on time - when she says she'll be there at 10 AM, she'll be there at 10 AM. She does a really great job cleaning, brings her own products, and most importantly -- she takes PayPal for payments (a minor miracle). Add in the fact that her rates are extremely reasonable and I recommend Lorita to anyone looking for a home cleaner.

I hired Lorita for two jobs: move in cleaning of a house and move out cleaning of a apartment. She…read moreand her 2 helpers did a fantastic, thorough job on the house, so I was really happy to retain them again. On the apartment, I was less than satisfied. Lorita called me on the day of to tell me that she was sending one of her helpers and that was fine. The woman was very nice but the cleaning was quite sub-par. Despite me specifically requesting that the inside of the cabinets be cleaned, some of the drawers weren't cleaned. The counters and the sink weren't cleaned off properly, she told me she couldn't reach the freezer (I ended up reaching it just fine and cleaning it myself), the inside of the microwave had food particles, the bath tile needed additional cleaning, there were sections of the floor that hadn't been swept properly. In all, I basically had to go through the entire place and swipe everything down and re-sweep certain areas and scrub the kitchen sink and clean the microwave interior. When I later emailed Lorita letting her know, she told me that cabinets were extra and were. not included in the deep cleaning. This was news to me since her helper hadn't told me that when I went through the apartment pointing out areas that needed special attention. Given that it's a woman-run business that I really wanted to support (I was thinking of retaining them for a regular monthly cleaning), I'm disappointed with how things turned out. I would give her 5 stars for the first cleaning and 2 stars for the second.

The meh: Their dusting was just ok - a lot left in the blinds. The ugly: They turned my side table around to clean behind it, and things weren't returned to the state they were in. The drawers were facing the bed so they wouldn't open, the power cord management box was behind the side table vice beside it, lamps were unplugged. Also, we have those "Indows" plexiglass window inserts for sound isolation. They pulled one of them out (to clean the window i guess) and managed to scratch the plexiglass in the process - about a 4-5" gash, and did not put the indow back in. I mean, I thought they didn't do windows anyway? Why wouldn't they ask how it worked or if they should clean the window? I think if I were to have them back I'd have to supervise, or set expectations for them not to touch windows and to return things the way they were.

I booked a two-hour hourly cleaning service with a very short and specific list of tasks: clean all…read morebaseboards, dust throughout the house, clean the oven, wipe window sills, clean glass doors, and sweep/mop all three levels including the stairs. My home is generally well-kept, so this was meant to be a focused deep clean on a few areas. Around the 1 hour 15 minute mark, I was contacted and told they would need an additional hour, which I found surprising given there were two cleaners and the task list was minimal. When I arrived back at the house at the two-hour mark (after they said they were finished), I immediately noticed the kitchen floor didn't look clean. I asked them to go back over it, but even after that, I saw multiple areas that were missed. Corners of baseboards still had visible debris, and some baseboards looked like they hadn't been touched at all. There was pink residue left around the sink drain, the showerhead wasn't cleaned, and there was long hair left in the shower, bathrooms, and on the floors -- which isn't mine. The windows had streaks, and overall it seemed like many areas were quickly wiped down rather than cleaned thoroughly. For such a small list of tasks, I expected better attention to detail and thoroughness. Unfortunately, the work felt rushed and incomplete, and I will not be booking this service again.
