TERRIBLE customer service. DON'T BUY FROM!! We ordered a dining table set at the beginning of the year and were told it would be ready for pick up in June. Well we're now halfway through August and still don't have our table. Our table was finally ready a couple weeks ago and we were suppose to get free delivery and set up due to our situation. We confirmed our address multiple times, yet they still tried delivering to a different address. We let them know the address was wrong and they said that we must pay a $90 fee....even though it was their mistake. In addition, the guy we talked to over the phone told us that we are no longer getting free delivery and set up because he can't confirm that's what we were told. We had to remove partial insurance on our table just to pay for delivery and set up. This company obviously does not care about customers and I've never had such a disappointing experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a couch, it broke within 6 weeks of us. Filed a warranty claim, got approval for a new couch. Great! Except living spaces sent me an email saying they would not remove the broken couch. What? You sell me a couch that breaks in 6 weeks and you're going to make me pay for someone to come take it to the dump? So when I place the order for the replacement couch I ask if they can remove the old couch, the sales rep I'm on the phone with says "sure! I'll put a note on the delivery that they need to remove the old couch". Great! Delivery day comes - living spaces refuses to take THEIR broken couch. I get a supervisor on the line who says ' all habitat for humanity, they'll take it!". Habitat for humanity does NOT take broken furniture. Living spaces sold me a defunct couch that was completely destroyed in weeks, and then made ME pay $150 to get said couch removed from my home. I will be filing a BBB complaint and will NEVER do business with them again. What a scam of a company. Do yourself a favor and avoid them entirely. read more

We spent over $1000 in various furniture and home items and had them delivered. One item was a floor model and apparently discontinued so we took the one from the showroom. Despite this, they called and emailed for more than a week asking if we still needed to pick up that item. More significantly, within about 3 weeks, the edging on an accent rug we bought started to unravel. I submitted a warranty claim under their one year warranty but was denied because "Accessories such as mirrors and rugs are not covered under the Living Spaces One Year Limited Warranty". For an obvious manufacturing defect to be present and not covered makes me unwilling to buy anything else from Living Spaces in the future. read more

The tech came to my home & confirmed that it was a manufacturer defect. He told me that the store would have to replace the item. The following day, I got a call from customer service saying they would not replace or repair anything. Instead, they blamed it on me and my husband, saying that we likely left it outside or exposed it to the elements. I appealed the denial and again was denied. Delivered in large wrapped boxes and upside down brackets on one piece but it's THE couch. After I emailed every employee associated with Living Spaces per google, I received a response from operations. Jenna seemed apologetic and like a human being without the drab auto response we all got on status. THE couch is sturdy as a bull on leg day and will probably keep me from going through couch purgatory any time soon. But it's about as comfortable as your grandma's couch covered in plastic in the 'don't touch' fancy room. You know you're in deep trouble when you get sent to sleep on the couch in this house. we were happy with the stores appearance and cleanliness and staff being friendly, however afetr finally getting the couch we chose in 3 weeks the zipper on the right cushion was broken! i have never had this problem before with any couch. it was completely thrashesd. called the store for it to be fixed and was told it would be 4 weeks for them to make a new cushion cover and send it to us and then we call the store and somone would come and put the cushion in the new cover. it has been 8 weeks and we just called again and supposedly someone will call us back next friday to let us know what s happening! we waited 6 weeks to get this couch and now it takes longer to get a cushion cover replaced? i am not happy and i fear the new cover might do the same thing. the material used is very nice but the zipper is so flimsy. if i could do it over i would not go to living spaces again! be warned!!!! read more

They don't work on commission, Zach went over and above to make sure we got what we wanted, he was knowledgeable about the different styles and colors, it was a special order and it was delivered with care, we love it, we will recommend Living Spaces and Zach. Not sure where to start. The sales rep I initially worked with was very nice. Unfortunately, being a nice person doesn't equate to being a savvy designer; let alone one who knows how to measure and/or use the technology provided to show a customer what the Custom furniture ordered will look like. I made the mistake of ordering a custom set of furniture which ALL sales associates know will result in a restocking fee if returned! Sadly, when the furniture was delivered, it was so awkwardly shaped, even the delivery associates stared in disbelief. It was as though I ordered a king sized bed. The ottoman left zero space to walk around. One would literally have to crawl over it to sit in the middle of the sofa! I blindly ordered a custom furniture set under the guidance of Living Space's "Designer" and this is what I received?!? Everything was drawn on a piece of paper,I never saw what it would look like together on their trusty design app. I trusted their recommendations and ended up with a nightmare. I was even told by another associate "I'm so sorry, I would have never recommended these pieces together in your space!" So now, the $595 I spent for the ottoman required a 50% restocking fee! Or, I can exchange it for something else and pay $25% restocking fee. That's $148.00 to right someone else's wrong! I'm upset, frustrated and now out even more money. I went from one associate to another, in-person and called customer service. All I heard was "Sorry, there's not much we can do!" "Unfortunately, you don't have many options since it was a custom order!" The entire experience makes me sick and mad. I will NEVER EVER shop at any Living Spaces again! read more

I have bought furniture thru living spaces numerous times. Well the last sofa I purchased , I noticed that it was coming apart at seams, I contacted living spaces and was still within the warranty which ended at the end April. I had the sofa for 1 year. They sent me a new cover for that section and it was fine. Well now that same cover ( the one I received in April has come apart even worse than the first one. I was not expecting the entire warranty to still be covered but the replacement has not lasted 3 months. When I contacted living spaces the reply was " it's out of warranty" and the suggestion "that I take it to a tailor to have it repair ". Is not only not acceptable but snarky to say the least. Apparently I can not escalate this complaint. It was suggested that I should have bought the extended warranty. Which I have in past and never used. I would not recommend buying sofas from this company, with the very poor quality of fabric used. Also the lack of caring for a valid customer complaint. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Living Spaces by accident. We are both juniors in college and had no intention of buying furniture but the warmth and enthusiasm we were greeted with by the employees made us want to get married and buy a house just so we could furnish it with products from this store. Every single employee was passed was friendly and ready to banter with us. The employees all seemed so happy to be working there that it made us wonder if they were on something. Another perk is that we didn't feel pressured into buying anything by the employees, and that made me want to take out a loan so that I could. They had a beautiful couch selection and I vow to come back to this store when I need to buy a couch in the future. Clearly, these folks care only for themselves since those actions were and are responses to COVID. Masks are made to cover the nose and mouth since air and fluids pass through the nose AND the mouth - if you can't figure that out, then you are special. We bought outdoor furniture from Living Spaces over 4 years ago and were told if we didn't use the warrantee we purchased we would get a store credit . When I called, I spoke to a person I could barely understand but what I did understand was LS sent my husband a certificate to an old work email address that my husband hasn't worked at for years so we never received the certificate. The man who barely spoke english said too bad it's expired and theres nothing that can be done about it. I asked to speak to a manager and he said that is it, no one can help you, goodbye! Im reading other experiences with their customer service representatives that had very similar experiences. Is this the way LS is now run? The staff at the store are friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, the company itself (Corporate Office) have some very inappropriate and questionable business practices. For example, selling goods which are final sale and not effectively communicating, verbally or in writing that said goods are "Final Sale". Thus, when the consumer receives the poorly made product, they are refused return/exchange (which begs the question, is this the reason it is "final sale"??). Would absolutely not recommend this company. There are a multitude of excellent, relevant customer focused establishments, which accept returns and exchanges, and their focus is customer retention vs. revenue. read more

Bought a sofa set, and specialized ottoman, and I was told I could call before 8pm same day for any changes. Went home and decided I wanted to put a hold on the order, and not to start the ottoman. Called customer service, they said no problem. Went in next morning, purchased another set i liked better. Long story short, I was charged $148 for the ottoman, and customer service told me over and over I needed to call them same day before 8pm. I did! Also was told they can't hold orders. My order was supposedly on hold, and nobody said that it wasn't' allowed. They refuse to take any responsibility, and customer service was condescending and rude. Refusing to refund me for the ottoman which was not at all my fault. I did my part, and because they screwed up I had to pay for it. Buyer Beware!!!! Yeah, their sales reps are friendly and nice, but once you purchase and leave the store you are totally on your own. We had a sofa delivered with only 3 out of four pillows - how does that even happen? - and we could not even call the store to see if they could rectify this. There is no direct line into the store. After calling their Customer Service in Central America, it finally got resolved, but it took a month. I thought perhaps that on the day of delivery they could have checked with the delivery driver, but since they are half a world away they had no idea about the delivery details. Then the rug that was purchased at the same time gradually fell apart with fibers too loosely woven and poorly constructed, and they advised there is no warranty on decorative items. I don't know how this store stays in business. Instead of their theme song saying, "Living Spaces," it would be more apropos to have them sing, "Rip-off Artists." read more

Went in looking for a couch for a new place I was completely getting refurnished. Started with a bedroom set that I thought was a great deal with a dresser. Gets delivered, delivery guy says they'll call you we're missing parts. Day goes by nobody calls. Try and call customer service and of course, 1 hour on the phone waiting for someone to answer. Finally answer and I'm advised that they don't have the parts and if I want them to pick it up I need to pay a restock fee, which I kindly declined to pay because why would I pay for something that isn't even complete? They '"waived" the fee and picked it up. Gave them another shot ordered another bed frame, and came in to get a couch at the Gilbert location. Found a couch I liked, no hesitation just bought it because it was urgent for me to get this place furnished. Over a month has gone by and well, still no couch or update. Sit on the phone for an hour once again before a lady picks up and says yea we don't have that couch and there's no telling when you'll get it. Long story short. This place is the worst. When my husband and I visited the store on October 5, we were assisted by very friendly, helpful, and patient staff members. We picked out a couch that we loved and, because it was a special order, we were told that it would be 8-10 weeks before we would receive our new couch. Now, it's been 12 weeks and no call or any type of communication. I contacted customer service to ask about the status and was informed that our couch would not ship until February 2. This is a full 17 weeks after we placed our order and no one contacted us to let us know or ask if we wanted to continue to wait. The gentleman in customer service simply said, "sorry" and let us know that we would get a full refund if we decided to cancel. Not only is the lack of communication completely unacceptable, the lack of alternate solution is a let down. read more

He trash-talked Ashley furniture (said their furniture is awful & overpriced, & he tried to tell me that La-z-boy always charges for delivery. They didn't charge us 2 years ago. He tried to tell me living spaces never does sales & doesn't mark their furniture up so they have to charge for delivery. 'Amazon doesn't charge , if you want delivery just to your door in all wrapping, etc, then we won't charge either' what kind of answer was that? WARNING - DO NOT BUY FROM LIVING SPACES. My Mother in law purchased a love seat and sofa with electric recliners in early 2020 from LIVING SPACES in Gilbert, AZ. The delivery to North Dakota took about 4 months, then recently they discovered one of the cables or switch module is defective, either the cable got pinched by the metal arms underneath shorting to metal or the switch is defective, then the switch got super hot... (fire hazard). Pic 1 below shows the power supply plugged in with green light on normal. Pic 2 below shows once the cable to the switch gets plugged in, the green light goes out, but there is power going to the switch making it extremely hot (fire hazard). LIVING SPACES refused to cover the repair due to the furniture being out of warranty by a few months. We have been trying to reach the MFR, with no luck. The company that sent it to LIVING SPACES is "MYSTAR International" from Hong Kong. I cannot find a website - nothing. I would like to purchase replacement parts but cannot find any information, and LIVING SPACES could not locate the MFR either... I am assuming the furniture was made in China, so we are screwed. So we will have to travel to N.D. from AZ. in the future to repair it ourselves if we can get the parts, or if I can repair the cable assembly myself. DO NOT BUY FROM LIVING SPACES!!! In 2017 my husband and I furnished an entire condo with pieces from Living Spaces. Everything was great. In 2020 we bought a large sectional for our new house. It didn't hold up well. We ended up spending an additional $1000 to have it restuffed but it just hasn't held up. A month ago we went to the Scottsdale store and ordered another sectional and a custom ottoman. I left with a sales order in hand with a scheduled delivery date. 2 days later I get a text asking me to schedule delivery- I was a bit confused as my sales order summary showed a scheduled delivery date - so I called. I called 5 times to get to the bottom of this and ultimately the order for the sectional was canceled by the store manager in an email - too busy to call me I guess or she just didn't really want my business. The ottoman arrived today - we went to pick it up at the store. I had them unwrap it before we loaded it into our vehicle. The ottoman was warped - the frame was dented, one side stuck out 2 inches more than the other - there were scratches in the leather - it's a storage ottoman and the top didn't line up with the bottom. I refused to take this home. I was told I could have a discount....i didn't want something that looked this awful in my home - I was told I could take this one and they would have another made which would take another 30-45 days. Fearing additional disappointment we declined. Then I was told because we were cancelling the order, we were subject to a 25% restocking fee. I'm not sure this is even legal considering the condition of the item we paid full price for. We have spent a lot of money at Living Spaces over the years. What a disappointment- what total disregard for valuable clients. We are frustrated and felt that the right thing to do was offer a full refund instead of keeping our money for something that was damaged and extremely poorly made. read more

We drove over an hour to get to this store. Met a salesperson inside and was guided to a set of recliners we really liked. We were told they had them in the warehouse. Great, right? After going thru all the paperwork and disclosures and handing over our credit card to buy them we were told that oops they only had one in inventory!! However, they would sell us the floor model. Nice, right? Then we were told that the floor model could not be delivered our taken apart. We would have to come back and get it, another two-hour drive. NO WAY! Really poor customer service. In the showroom, we told the girl that we had children and pets and needed a couch that could withstand life. Well, we were GUARANTEED that this couch would withstand all the things. They even switched the upholstery to a different one that was supposed to be the best when it comes to wear and tear. On top of that, we were also sold on the warranty company that was supposed to cover all mishaps including spills. According to the salesperson if we had anything that we needed we could call and the company would come out and clean it. If the stain did not come out the cushion would be replaced. Well, after 2 years of shopping and lunch to maul it over, we bought the couch. Fast forward a year. Well, in fact, did have a spill and the entire couch is pilling! 5 months in and the warranty company sent us a kit to clean it ourselves. After that made it worse, we tried to file again and we were completely ignored. Our couch looks like it's 10 years old and Living Spaces is only willing to refer us to the warranty company despite asking them multiple times if there is someone I could speak to about the product itself, not the warranty company. The people whom I spoke to didn't seem surprised that their product wasn't holding up so if you own a Living Spaces couch that is pilling, speak up! No one was willing to help. When I visited the showroom in March I was told delivery would be 2-3 business days. Upon completing the order of a sofa with a chair and matching ottoman, it turned out it was actually going to be 2 weeks. While not great, it's understandable. However, 2 days before the delivery I received a call informing me the chair would not be delivered on time. But the couch would, along with the ottoman for the chair. I was told it would be another 7-10 business days for the chair. The couch did show up on time, with some slight damage, but the delivery driver assured me it was just temporary from the packing and would be fine in a couple days. It was not. A month later, after hearing nothing, I was told: "After review of the account, we show the over sized chair is on backorder, once the item is in we will call you to schedule delivery." When I told them how ridiculous that is, I was told: "We have no control over how long it takes a manufacture to produce their furniture, we also can't deliver furniture we do not physically have in stock. You have the option of waiting for the chair to arrive or canceling the order for the chair and receiving a full refund. Those are the only options we have available at this time." It has now been 2 months and I do not have my couch or my $800. Additionally, I do have a $400 ottoman for a chair I don't have, since I was lied to about when it would be ready until after the return deadline passed. I understand things are complicated right now, especially in manufacturing. I don't blame Living Spaces for the current events. I do blame them for their dishonest sales practices and absolute disgrace for customer service. read more

Don't be fooled by the "amazing warranty policy" that they try and suck everyone into. I was told this policy covers and damage or stains to the couch. Every time I have an issue with the couch I am denied warranty. It has been just over a year since my purchase and the couch is completely falling apart. The seams are ripping, the fabric on the back is falling apart. Apparently a couch falling apart in 12 months is "normal wear and tear" horrible experience and total waste of money.
