Over the last few years prices are at or above new prices and the store itself- STINKS! I literally had to hold my nose while trying to walk through the last two times. I'm including a letter I sent to the Contact Us section on the website. As a consigner, I want to warn others about the contract you sign and the mismanagement of inventory. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and demand compensation for the mishandling of a quality custom-made bench that I consigned at My Sister's Attic. The bench was dropped off with a verbal agreement to price it at $650. Unfortunately, due to the negligence of the previous manager, who failed to properly price the piece before his departure, and the subsequent incorrect pricing by the new manager, the bench was sold for a mere $100. This pricing is not only well below the agreed-upon amount but also a blatant disregard for the value of the item and the trust placed in your store by consignors. While I understand that the contract states the store reserves the right to change prices at its discretion, this situation is a clear oversight. The bench was forgotten and priced simply to "get rid of it," as stated by the current manager. This is unacceptable and a slap in the face to a participating consignor. Additionally, the agreement was to sell the item within a two-month timeframe, with the bench being received in-store on March 13, 2025, per the contract. However, it wasn't placed on the floor until a month later, halfway through this timeframe, further diminishing the opportunity for a fair sale. It did sell right after being placed on the floor, further showcasing that the piece had merit as inventory in the store. Had I not visited the store on the day I did to inquire about it and noticed the sold sign without a price tag, I would have never received any compensation for my item. I demand that My Sister's Attic honor the original agreement set by the previous manager. It is evident that none of the items in your store are priced as egregiously low as $100, not even a nightstand. I am still waiting response from corporate. The new store manager, originally gave me an adequate solution but said corporate is refusing to honor it. read more

My daughter had found something she wanted me to pick up, so I rushed over here after work only discovered that the automatic doors were closed shut. The selection is hit or miss, like most consignment stores. I have found some excellent, traditional high-end furniture (Habersham, Bernhardt, Henredon, Ethan Allen). I'd say overall the furniture inventory tends to skew towards the "old world" aesthetic, but again, on occasion something classic or unique pops up. Outdoor furniture sells fast and tends to be priced much higher than indoor furniture. The art and accessories like rugs, lamps, etc. are predictably outdated. Lots of mass produced tabletop items (Waterford, Oneida), if you're into that. I will say everything consigned is in very good to excellent condition. 3-4 stars for the stock. What I truly dislike is the consistently poor service. There is very high turnover at each location, and no matter who is working they are unapproachable. If you are greeted when you visit it is an exception, not a rule. Not an ounce of graciousness. They will not ever have answers about the product's materials and construction, and lack the knowledge about furnishings you would expect from a reselling business. My first time here. Cool & eclectic.. lots of Andy Warhol reprints and other artwork. Great selection of mirrors in various sizes and medias. There are a lot of cool accessories to dress your rooms and tables. Many items have sold sizes on the floor room; somewhat disappointing. They have a decent selection of furniture that is priced reasonably and a wonderful selection of art. I have been in 4 or 5 times though and have never been greeted by an employee. Each time they seem to be too busy moving furniture around to help you. That doesn't really bother me as I actually prefer it over sales people following you around, but yesterday my husband and I both visited and were interested in purchasing a piece. Not only could we not find anyone to help, but a female worker made us feel unwelcome. She kept sighing loudly and walking past me like she was in a rush or I was in her way. I wanted to pick up a mirror for my entry hall. I had to stop myself from leaving with a new dining room table. So much cute stuff! And while some prices were high--the mirror I liked was only $75 less than a new one I've had my eye on in a mall store, some things were surprisingly reasonable like $500 for that six person table/chairs. Saw brands like Ethan Allen and Waterford (though I'm not sure if anyone owns crystal anymore). There's either an orb Restoration Hardware chandelier or a good knock off of one hanging up front. Horrible. My wife had to go back to the store after she purchased 2 chairs and had gone home. They made a mistake with supposedly "mislabeled" chairs that have been marked down for two weeks now. My wife and I have kept an eye on them. They were not mislabeled. They told her they were over twice what she paid when they called her back even though all over the store there are signs saying ALL SALES ARE FINAL. They are a bunch of liars and crooks. I had a bit of a rollercoaster experience this weekend that ended with an outstanding performance from our salesman, Nick. These 5 stars are for him. We had been searching for a new bed frame for quite a while. One in particular had caught our eye, partially because it was nifty looking and partially because it was priced extremely well. Usually such things move quickly, but when we went in "black friday" weekend, it was still there. Coupled with the black friday discount, we pulled the trigger and arranged delivery for the next day (today). The delivery guys were nice and did their best to lug the large, cumbersome bed frame up the stairs. We paid for setup, and all went well until they realized that the slats they had been given were not the right ones for our bed - they were too long. They called the store manager (Chris) only to discover that the reason the bed was priced so low was because it was missing its slats! This was upsetting because 1) We wouldn't have bought it if we had known and 2) It was already set up (sans slats) in our bedroom and it was a beast to get there. At this rate, we weren't going to have a proper place to sleep tonight. The delivery guys suggested getting in touch with the store to get something figured out. I called right away and spoke with Nick, who originally sold us the bed. He empathized with our plight, and told me that he would bring the too-long slats with some tools and come make something work - after his shift was over. True to his word, Nick finished up his shift and showed up at my house, tools in hand. We trimmed down the length of the slats, built a center support out of some extra wood he brought + some stuff I had in my garage, and voila - I have a place to sleep tonight! That's some above and beyond customer support for which Nick should be commended. read more

I had a wonderful encounter with Dave at My Sister's Attic in Chandler. I wanted to consign some furniture and I went to the old location on Alma School Rd. It was 5:40 when I realized my blunder and I raced to the new store. I made it there at 6:05. Dave opened the doors and helped bring in all my heavy furniture with a smile. I was so impressed with his strength, kindness, and professionalism. He knows his furniture! Also, he explained why he wasn't accepting certain items and what they were looking for. Thank you Dave! I consigned a beautiful Lamp to them and it was not sold. I did not want to donate the lamp, because the price was reduced. I came to pick it up and upon arrival was told that I have to pay a five dollar fee for the consignment. I paid them the five dollars and left and when I got home, I tried to turn on the lamp, but it would not work. I took it back and showed an employee that there were parts missing. I took the broken lamp back to the them and the employee there said he was going to speak with corporate. A day later, I received a phone call from him letting me know that corporate is unwilling to fix the lamp. They also said that they are not willing to consign with them any longer. The employees are rude and disrespectful they don't help at all. We had to ask for assistance multiple times. The manager Walked past us several times, stared at us, walked away, even after he was spoken to and greeted by our group with a good morning. Great service! I recently bought a decently used couch and have no complaints. They did charge a delivery fee but the moving guys were accommodating when getting it into my appointment. The only downside is they do NOT negotiate prices. When I asked them if we could get a deal by bundling a large amount of furniture they said "the price is on the tag." They recently moved this store to Ray Road, right off the 101 and the new store is spectacular--- bright, spacious and very inviting. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My friends and I walk in to look around because 2 of them live together and need a table and the other friend just bought a house. I am out visiting my friend from another state. So we walk in and were not greeted. My friend looked at the manager and said "hello?" And the manager looked at her and rolled his eyes then walked away. However, proceeded to greet the white woman who came in after us. I am white myself, but my friends are not. And honestly this shouldn't matter. But to treat them as if they couldn't afford what was in the store based on their color and ignore them when saying hello trying to get some help and service is just plain downright disrespectful and disgusting behavior. So my friend was taken aback and went up to another employee and told him what just happened and his reply was "well I don't know what to say" and laughed in her face. I would rate this place negative stars if I could. I will NEVER consign here again. I have been consigning high end items here for years, since they first opened and always received acceptable returns. Unfortunately, my last experience was awful. I moved just outside of Chandler, so I was 2 miles outside of their radius for pick-up. I was ok with the extra fee since I thought I would be making it up with the items to sell. Again, they were high end, originally paid nearly $14K and it was in like new condition. The men that picked up the furniture dropped one of my items, wrapped it and loaded it before I could see the damage. I called the store manager to see what type of damage and he couldn't locate my items. He called back and told me there was no damage and it was on the Chandler floor. I went over and couldn't find my items anywhere. I called a different store and they informed me my items had sold. It sold the same day it was placed on the floor within an hour. Then they told me how much it sold for. Absolutely, horrible. $1500, which means even less for me. I contacted corporate and they researched it saying they dropped the ball on pricing. Isn't that great. It's not their money to lose. Again, I will not be consigning items here again. Apparently, there are good finds at the store for those customers who are looking for a bargain! read more

They said it was ok after we sent in pics and talked to them. 7 months later, the table never made it to the floor we asked and no one could give us an answer. Now we hear it is in storage. Why? We ask again. The new news is that they didn't put it out cause they didn't have matching chairs! Really? You keep our stuff for 7 months in storage and then we have to call you several times to find this out? Now they are telling us they took it out of storage and we can come pick it up! Bullshit! This is a review of good service recovery after a very poor customer experience. In mid-June I had a very bad service experience at this store. In fact, I left the store in tears because I was so incensed. This experience was shocking because I've consigned and bought at this store several times - all pleasant experiences. The situation was triggered by the company's computer issues. the computer had wiped out my transaction history and showed I had zero credit due when in fact I knew I had over $200 in store credit. Staff and store management's attitude was "you'll just have to wait until the new system is up and running sometime in July to see if the correct records show up. If the records then still show a zero balance, oh well." There was no proactive offer to research the situation. The onus was on me, the customer, to figure out where my money had gone. As stated earlier, I was incensed! After cooling off for a couple of days, I sent a message to the corporate office through their website describing my issue. Much to my pleasant surprise I got a call from the corporate office within 2 days promising to research the computer problem and get back to me asap. They also apologized for my treatment at the store. Bottom line - after 2 additional phone calls from the office the error was found and the money restored to my account. One of the founders and a co-owner of the company contacted me personally to apologize and explain what had happened. This situation has been resolved to my satisfaction, and I look forward to enjoying shopping at the store in the future. read more

Everyone is so helpful and we love coming in to see what new stuff they have. Would highly recommend this place to take all of your unwanted furniture. Large selection of various items at great prices. Liz and Christie were very helpful and nice in answering any questions. I wasn't sure if they would be able to deliver to my house in Mesa but they did for much less than I was expecting! Because of a cancellation I was even able to get my purchase delivered the same day. Delivery crew was also very helpful and nice enough to stack my old couches to make more room for me.
