1star for several reasons!! Yes, this place WAS amazing at one point. Now , with most of my favorite vendors no longer there. The selection is crap and more so as of recently. The Worst of it, is the management!! The manager Kim AKA ( Karen ) is rude to good paying customers. When asked about where certain vendors were she was not professional and said negative things that wasn't non of my business knowing. I would absolutely be embarrassed if that was the person running my company like that. Completely Unprofessional and poor management skills. Kims mistreatment of several vendors causing them to no longer set up there. Honestly they need a new manager!!! This place is no longer worth my time or money to make a trip out there. I WILL NOT BE SUGGESTING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Please, get new management and bring back the good vendors. read more

The Halloween market I attended this past Friday was fabulous! Tatianna was so kind and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Oh my gosh! I love each season you put on! The displays are amazing and many many one of a kind unique decor items. Everyone is so helpful to save your items behind the check out while you easily shop for more, haha. I come every year from Tucson which originally was for the huge and amazing antique store in the front of Highland when low and behold I timed it when your monthly weekend event was going on . I now go for several of your holiday events combining both stores and have brought my husband and other times girlfriends. It makes for a fun and relaxing day. Just highly disappointed my favorite vendor and only reason to go there was told they were to leave the week before thanksgiving... because she has cancer how unbelievably horrible to add to the stress of one of the hardest working people all her items were either vintage or hand made by her.... She definitely didn't lack in heart for what she did because I know it probably took her to a of time to make so many of her things. Unlike other sellers and their Temu! I came here hoping I would be able to find a one of a kind gift and they did not disappoint. My BIL is a drummer and someone made a sign made just for him. I bought it in a heartbeat. It will go over really wonderfully at Christmas. I found a 2021 journal, because I have high hopes for the future. And it is all about the National parks, AWESOME! They had a bunch of great diy art gifts for the budding artist or for any artist for that matter. I love them, I'll probably come back for most of them as well. Chuckle! What a FUN hour and a half! You have to walk through a HUGE building of individual "booths" of everything from antiques to clothing...collectables to crafts to walk out their back door to Highland Yard Vintage...it's worth it! I'm "of a certain age " and a little slow but everyone is having fun and you just take your time to look at ALL the goodies!! Back in the corner is a sweet young woman baker who sells her HUGE cookies and brownies and scones! If she sold coffee I might STILL be there!! Her goods were very tasty and I will buy more from her next visit! Highland Yard Vintage is located behind Merchant Square Antique Mall. They are not open daily, usually once a month with a themed show. Check their website for the dates. There are talented & creative vendors who have their own space, which is visually curated eye-candy of vintage furniture, home decor, clothing, jewelry, and gifts. Prices were very reasonable! There were more vendor spots outside in the courtyard area. I was very impressed by the vignettes. Right out of a magazine! The details and layers of merchandise were beautifully displayed. WOW! I didn't interact with any staff during my visit. I wasn't greeted either, so I have no feedback about the service in general. Parking can be a challenge. Park along the side street or in the Merchant Square parking lot. Restrooms are located inside Merchant Square. read more

We love coming to Highland Yard vintage. It's a great way to spend a wonderful Saturday morning, walking the isles, looking for little treasures, and then enjoying a nice meal out on the patio. How fun is this awesome place! Found it for their June opening - Beautifully decorated, open once a month and priced for those of us shopping to buy! I found so many awesome things here, one old chippy desk that became my next project & turned it into a potting bench. The people here were awesome helping me load. And did I mention everything is affordable?! Seems rare these days to find an awesome vintage shop with items that are cool and affordable, not to mention they are attached to Merchant Square (antiques) - well done Highland Yard! I will go to Highland Yard every once and awhile, as they are only open a few days out of each month. I enjoy and have bought many products from them. The staff is always friendly and make you feel like you're truly a valued costumer. I love that they have handcrafted items and not just antiques. The reason I give a 4 star review is because: I went to their 9 a.m line party for their Christmas sale this year. COVID precautions weren't taken seriously by nearly anyone.... we were not 6ft apart in line; and no matter where I went inside someone was always right next to me... This is very disappointing because a lot of the women in line with me were eating and taking off their masks. I didn't understand why they had a food truck so close to the line of 100+ people... It's a very large gathering and you shouldn't go if you are at risk! I attached an item that I have bought that I love. read more

I've come to Highland Vintage Yard off and on for about 3 years. Over the years, I've noticed a lot less actual vintage stuff and much more handmade and general farmhouse style decor. I'm not saying that there are no antiques - there are, they're just a bit more difficult to find among everything else there. I just visited last weekend and even saw a Threshold (Target brand) blanket and some Hearth and Hand decor for sale in one booth. Seeing this stuff makes it hard to decipher what's actually vintage or handmade in the booth and what's not. "Vintage" is not the first word I would use to call the market. More handmade and farmhouse-inspired. My biggest reason for writing this review was to address the COVID precautions when I attended last Saturday morning. It was PACKED with people, to say the least. Most of the time when we were inside the warehouse, we were shoulder-to-shoulder with other shoppers. All but one family (that I saw) were wearing masks, but it was clear when we were there that no quantity limits were in place for shoppers in the warehouse. It was far too crowded for my comfort in this pandemic era, so I won't be returning anytime soon unless they announce some changes. read more

Now this is the place to visit for your Christmas decorations and gifts. Located behind an antique store. We saw this venue on Channel 3 and had to check this place out. When we arrived, there were lots of cars parked, we found one near the front of the antique store. There are about 50 vendors with some unique gifts and plenty of Christmas decorations. Highland Yard is a "Pop-Up" used goods mercantile selling merchandise that has been repurposed, refreshed and reimagined by pickers, designers and artists into home décor and home and garden furnishings in the latest, trendy styles and color palettes. It is called a "Pop-Up" because it does not follow a 'regular' schedule or 'normal' business hours: it is only open four days a month. There is a theme to the merchandise, decor and setup that the designers follow each time they are open. For instance, 'Road Trip' and 'Endless Summer' have been the first two themes. Yet, I would classify the overall theme and style of Highland Yard as one of Shabby Chic/French Country Cottage with some Vintage and Mid-Century styles thrown in. Alas, there is an occasional retro vintage piece or bona fide antique thrown in that could have migrated in from the sister building, Merchant Square, that adds a bit of flair to each vignette. I visited; saw a few items that I liked, and returned a few days later, only to find that they were closed until next month. The concept of a pop-up business is certainly fun and unique, and getting dozens of vendors to collaborate on a central theme, setup merchandise and make it marketable to sell to the public is not an easy feat. I can understand only being open a few days of the month to allow time for a change of venue, however only being open 13% of the month does not allow for much shopping time, nor does it allow access for the uninformed spontaneous shopper passing by. Perhaps more shopping days would be an improvement. A pop-up requires informed visitors through interactive, friendly staff, having easy access and detailed signage throughout to create an informed following, all of which was lost on my fellow shoppers and me on two visits. All in all, I like the idea of a rotating or changing theme and merchandise that is fresh and different; I think it is important to keep a shopping experience novel and I like the excitement that a pop-up brings, but I do feel as though there is an aura of excitement and friendliness that is missing from the staff . . . especially given this only happens four days a month. Also absent is a sense of pride from the business or management. I'm not certain where this sense of pride should emanate from, but it is evident with the absence of friendly, excited staff and a tidy, clean and accessible entrance. Improving in these customer service areas would certainly align itself with the quality of the furnishings within. It is worth a stop if it happens to be one those coveted days that The Yard is open. If you enjoy this style of décor, you will probably find an item of interest making it worth your while to stop in. Perhaps in a few months, when some of the newness wears off, I will return and visit again . . . let's just hope I choose the correct four days to do so. We've been making a monthly trek to HYV for over one year now. I've figured out the best times to shop so we aren't bumper to bumper with people inside (it can get very crowded) as it's a lot to look at in a tight space. Lots of great decorating ideas in each of the booths. We've made a purchase almost every visit. Each month there is a common theme each booth/space is decorated for. I have a note on my calendar not to miss the November shows as that is when they roll out Christmas (first year we went I was disappointed that Dec was more about winter & not Christmas). The merchants are usually onsite if you have questions or want to negotiate a time to return for larger items you have purchased. I love walking around and spotting items that are working their way into modern decor that have been decorating my Mom's country kitchen for years. When we complete the back area we usually head inside and look at the antiques & other items being sold. I've found lots of great items such as vinyl and wall decs for my living spaces. read more

Highland was my favorite place to shop because the vendors were amazing and the items were one of a kind. I had been going for years and was there every single month usually there before the doors even opened. But I won't be going back after this last time in September. After finding out how poorly the vendors were treated by the higher ups I will never shop there again. A lot of the best vendors are also leaving and they are really who made HYV such a success. I will be taking my business to Ivy & Sage Home and Lifestyle in November where the best vendors will be. Just to say exactly how this business treats their long time customers ( I had been going there every month for years ) HYV blocked me on their Instagram account for commenting on a picture they posted on their page. I knew the vendor was asked to move their items out and would no longer be a seller there for the October show. HYV was lying to customers about one of the best selling vendors still being there and I asked why they were using that particular picture since he was no longer there. Instead of replying to me they just blocked me so others couldn't see my comment. Is that really the way a business treats a customer who had spent an obscene amount of money on the regular there?! The new vendors will have big shoes to fill and the loyal customers will follow the best vendors that HYV had over to Ivy & Sage Home and Lifestyle. Because HVY will never be the same and the fact that they block customers from IG and block FB reviews says a lot about them as a business!! read more

Keep in mind this is not an actual store that is always open but a pop up event on certain days. I've only been once and do plan on attending again and hope to change my review. The reason i can only give it 3 stars is because i was very underwhelmed by what was available. I went on an event that was just prior to christmas and arrived just after it's opening. There was not as much vintage as i had anticipated and a lot more food, craft, and mass produced items. Like fine art photography, cookies, candles, and what not. I'm not in Arizona all the time but have had lots of people outside tell me i need to check this place out because of their cute instagram account so the next time i had to be in Arizona i checked to see if this would be open and it was. In short i wouldn't bother planning anything around this particular event. read more

This is one of the most beautifully styled vintage shops I've ever been in. Each vendor has such unique items, some vintage, some new. There's everything from chandeliers, old books, salvage decor, old prints, jewelry, and even clothing. My favorite vendor was The Tattered Apron, a bakery inside the shop. I had three different baked items, raspberry crumble bar, cinnamon cream cookie, and a caramel bar- each one was so delicious and so perfectly baked. This shop is a must see when they are open! Had a great time shopping at the Yard on Thursday. The lines were not too bad and we found quite a bit to purchase and take home to fill some of our empty spaces around the house. Prices can range from decent to out of the budget depending on the item and/or the vendor. It all just adds to the fun of finding those few perfect items you just have to have! Walking space in some of the booths can be tight and they do not allow you to bring in any items to carry your purchases but there are plenty of employees running around that will take the items you wish to purchase to the front for holding until you complete your shopping. If you come across the cookie ladies I highly suggest you purchase one of their desserts because they are sinfully amazing to the taste buds! I am absolutely in love with this place!!! I usually go in and just window shop but two weeks ago I went with a purpose, I refurbished an old piano and needed decor to go on it!! I walked in and had an idea of what I wanted to do and got to Jesse's booth and he helped me pick out the jar, music sheets and books!! He gave me many options of other ideas to do with the music sheets and took the time to show me many different books that would be perfect together!! As I go to the check out with the items I had chosen with Jesse, I had told Wyndie what My project was and she completely opened my eyes to even more ideas and I mean it was unbelievably perfect!! She added a plant, the gorgeous lamps, and the little metal stand to what I already had and mean I would have never thought to add all those items together!! I got home put all the pieces together and looked with a huge smile on my face at the masterpiece that was created!! After we checked out I told her I was also looking for a bench for my piano, she didn't just say oh good luck finding one, she took the time to look the store over and see if she can find anything and after looking we didn't see anything. So she said she would stay in touch with me and put out a search with her other decor friends to have their eye out for a bench and she even said she would be willing to make me a bench if we didn't find anything!! So later on last week I got a message from Wyndie saying that she found me a bench, referred me to another girl who works at Highland who was the one who found the bench her name was Wendy too lol She sent me a picture of the bench asked what my vision was for it and she sent me some ideas and BOOM! She created a beautiful masterpiece! Wendy told me that Jill the manager would be willing meet me outside of business hours at the shop so I could purchase my bench and sure enough I was able to pick it up in the morning this Friday! My piano has been touched with the beauty that comes from Highland Yard! I will refer everyone to go there and I will forever more do my business with them!! They made me feel absolutely valuable and took great care of me! They weren't just going to sell me anything bc they knew what I needed!!!
