By far the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and i paid in full for a great couch for our living room we were looking forward to. They said it would have to be shipped from California but would be here by the next week. That day rolls around, we get notification it's there... the next day we schedule for pickup since it's only 5 mins from our home. Get a generic email saying it's been delayed, but will be ready tomorrow. Ok, we understand things happen. The next day, another email saying it's delayed until the next day. I call customer service and they say "yeah it's going to be there tomorrow I'm not sure what happened".. ok. Tomorrow rolls around. Another email saying it's delayed. This time my husband calls and wants to know what is going on because we have no furniture in our living room, we keep having to arrange a truck for pickup and have to keep rescheduling and it's getting ridiculous.. they still have no direct answers, but said they "GUARANTEE " it'll be ready by tomorrow.... you guessed it.. tomorrow comes around and yet again the couch isn't ready for pickup. This time my husband gets an email after continually asking for an answer, saying the couch was "damaged beyond repair" during transit and we would need to wait another 2-4 weeks to get it... we are out of town in 2-4 weeks so we won't even be here. My husband went to the Gilbert store and directly asked them what is going on and how ridiculously inconvenient this all has been. All they offered was to comp the delivery charge (which is $100) and then said they would give us a $100 credit for their store... why would we want to ever do business with them again?? No thanks! Won't ever be back there again, which is unfortunate because I really did like a lot of their items. We ended up completely canceling the order and are going to just deal with our empty living room until we can find another couch elsewhere. I don't ever recommend that anyone deal with this company. I agree with the majority of the negative reviews on here. read more

I'll start by saying I've been to the Gilbert, Scottsdale and Phoenix locations. I ended up purchasing at Gilbert just because I was closest to that location one day. I found I kept going back to the same couch and a lovely woman (can't recall her name) came by at the right moment and I made the decision to buy a couch, chair and a half and ottoman. I was nervous for the outcome due to many horrible reviews but decided to give them a shot. I asked for a larger selection of color swatches instead of the few they had in the 'living room'. Since my color choices were not standard my order was considered non standard which was no extra cost. It does take a few weeks to make- 3.5 for mine. Other than the chipped foot on the sofa everything went well. I had to have the couch hoisted (their delivery team did not do this) to my balcony to fit inside so took the legs off and put the chipped one where it isn't as visible. Overall I'd say it was a good experience and would consider using them again. Prices are great and now I look like an adult with real furniture. read more

Wow. Very surprised to see these reviews considering I had the BEST experience and so did my mother and so did my boyfriend!! First off, let's talk about how perfect their customer service was. My boyfriend and I recently bought a new home and we are about to move in but we have no furniture. The minute I walked in, Nicole greeted me and helped me when I was so overwhelmed and pointed me in all the right directions. She didn't stop there either! I found a couch that I love and she found me later on in the day having trouble finding the perfect ottoman, she immediately started helping me and bringing all different types of ottomans over to find the perfect one for me. I decided I needed to go measure my living room, and unfortunately when I did, I found that the couch I chose was slightly to big for my living room. So, I decided before I go back there, I'm going to try a couple other places. I went to Ashley's furniture which is awful, and they hound you and harass you to buy something and then I went to American Furniture and oh my gosh don't even get me started. Nobody wanted to help me at American furniture, I spoke with a guy James there, he had no interest in helping me find the couch with the right measurements, and it wasnt just James that didn't help us, countless salesman walked past me and could see the defeat on my face and NONE helped. and at this point it was about 4 pm and my boyfriend and I were ready to give up. I said let's go back to living spaces before the day is over. They at least cared we were there. I walked in, I worked with Tylor, who my mom bought her last couch from and told me he was amazing! He immediately brought me to a computer, took the measurements of my living room, and found couches that they had that would fit in my living room. He did this whole mock up on a computer! It was amazing! We found the best couches for us, and he even lifted and carried a couch over to the tv stands so I could match one with the color grey of my couches. Now I am bad with names, but I will never forget the names of Tylor and Nicole who DID HELP ME and James who DIDNT help me at American Furniture. Also keep in mind, my mother is one of the most pickiest people, and she has bought 3 couches from there, tv stand, coffee table, and a kitchen table and has had no problems and it's great quality. If you don't believe me, then at least believe that! Lol geeez! I will definitely be back there to get more items! :) read more

Don't do it. Beautiful showroom. Great service UNTIL a few days after the 1 year warranty had expired my custom loveseats that are seldom used both started bulging on the sides where nails were pushing out. The warranty department adamantly said "find your own repair person, we are not liable." Each loveseat was $750.00. read more

Purchased a $2000 (spent 4k) modular sectional with power recliners. delivered to my home on 3/12/2020. Live alone and rarely use the furniture, however at end of May tried to de-cline the chair (to get out of it), and the motor died. 6/9-Using the additional insurance coverage i purchased, put in a claim and they told me its not covered?! Using 1 yr warranty from living spaces, i put in a claim. Received email advising someone would call within 5 business days, to schedule service. No call received. With COVID i thought they may be quite busy so gave them some extra time, still no call. 7/6/2020-Called again, girl says they didn't have right number(now given to them twice). She says she updated it and someone would call within 48 hours. No call all week. 7/12-called again, girl says same thing, wrong number on file. States no appointments until sometime in late August. I've been waiting now since end of May for something i only had less than 3 months when it broke. I said oh no, not waiting until August. Made an appointment and went to the Gilbert store where the girl shows me they have a cell number in there that is wrong, and the new number i gave them they put in as a home number. She advised they only call cell numbers, so basically she is telling me the lady on the phone lied to me when she said someone would call me within 2 days, because the staff there all are trained to know what numbers are called, right? She removes the old number and calls warranty. i spent another half hour in the store waiting for some response and the girl says they are using a secondary warranty vendor, who will call me within 48 business hours to make an appointment. Its 48 hours later no call. Instead i got an email from some company telling me someone will call me within 48 business hours to set an appointment. this is what i called for back on June 9th, and filled out the online warranty form as instructred by the first person i spoke to by phone. 6 weeks later and i still have no appointment, just a broken chair! This is just inexcusable! Additionally, when i purchased the furniture the store double charged me (over 7k) putting me over my credit limit on the card, and the card company would not remove it until i called Living Spaces and had them remove it from their system. no apology or anything! If i could do this all over again, i would NEVER have purchased from Living Spaces, period! read more

Although I really like their selection, buyer beware when it comes to them standing by their warranties, or at least be informed about what will and will not be covered if you need to make a claim. This is our less than 5yo expensive mattress, and because it is a "seam tear". it's not covered. Doesn't this look like something that SHOULD be covered? When they sell you a warranty, they make it sound like a great deal, but just like Murphys Law, when it comes to defects or issues with a product, it's almost always the one thing that isn't protected. And they wouldn't budge on this, even after having spent almost $8000 on their furniture. I submitted a claim, said they would contact me in 3-5 business days. After 9 business days, I had to go into the actual store since you can't reach them on the phone, to check on the status myself.(Actually, I did call the claims dept. myself but was on hold for 35 min) They had to call the claims department only to be told my tear wasn't covered. So, be careful and know EXACTLY what your warranty WON'T cover, rather than what it will. read more

We placed our furniture order with delivery. The experience was excellent and uneventful. There was one piece of furniture not available. They put us on an email list to be notified when the piece was available. We were notified, spoke with someone directly at the store, and we set up a delivery date of December 24 between noon and 6 PM. I was told they only set up delivery dates for pieces of furniture that have become in stock. They would place our order number on it with our name to ensure that it was delivered on the date promised. The piece of furniture was not only not delivered, they said they sent us an email saying it would now not be available until January. We received no email although we have received daily emails from living Spaces regarding sales, promotions, etc. They do not have a phone number directly to the store and therefore on the chat line and the 1877 number I was told "sorry" hopefully it will come in January. How do I know this isn't going to happen again? I've left several messages saying I want a manager to call me and no one will call me back. Extremely poor customer service for this portion of our experience. I plan to drive out to the Gilbert store tomorrow and speak to someone in person. In the meantime I hope someone from living Spaces will see this, and call me. If you read this Living Spaces, please do not ask me to send an email with my issue. I've written this, spoken with the chat line and customer phone line. It's time for you to resolve this issue ASAP. Update: I drove to the Gilbert location yesterday and spoke in person with a manager named Melissa. She was very kind, understanding and personable. Guess what????? Our dresser is being delivered Friday and they gave us a discount. Pays off to be persistent and have a face to face conversation. Thank you Melissa! For that my review went from 2 stars to 3. read more

If you are considering purchasing a couch here, run far, far away. They are crappy, cheap materials and built poorly. First, the couch was delivered and was smaller than it should have been. Cushion covers have not fit right since the start. One was saggy in one corner and all the others (including pillows) keep busting open at the seams. Living Spaces was quick to replace the covers when it was under warranty from them but we've had to do this multiple times now so it wasn't just a one-off that was poor quality, the whole thing is defective. It's multiple cushions/pillows after multiple replacements. I purchased the extended warranty which is a joke. No contact phone number, it's all online correspondence on their website so far, which they don't answer any comments. All automated lies. They want to pay for nothing. It's been almost two months since I've filed the claim and I'm still waiting for a technician to call me to schedule an assessment of the couch for my claim dispute. Almost $4k wasted for an embarrassing couch that's falling apart. I will be calling Living Spaces to report the lack of service with their extended warranty company and I will never buy anything from this scam company again. read more

I love this place. They don't work off of commission so they don't follow you around everywhere like other furniture places do. Much appreciated. Some things here are expensive but you can find simple, inexpensive pieces if you really want to. We've been here three times. The first and second time, great experiences. The third, it started off great. We were just looking at dining room tables just to get ideas for the future and two associates spoke with us. Then we went to the living room section and didn't have one person approach us. So I had to walk up to the cashier with a picture of the tag that I wanted to buy. Not super upset. I just didn't feel like I needed to hunt someone down when I could do it myself. The warehouse guys in the back are awesome. They do some hard work. We just pulled up with our truck and they loaded everything in. One of the guys even recognized us from 6 weeks ago. They were all super friendly and made sure everyone was helped. It looked like there was a long line to pick up your orders, but they were all already helped but quickly got on their way. We bought the exact sofa that our friend has but that sofa no longer has the option with a pull out bed. I was a little sad because I really wanted it with this sofa. So they definitely change things around with their products. This sofa also came with really ugly accent pillows and if I would've known that I needed these couches 4 weeks in advanced, I could've custom ordered the sofa with accent pillows that I wanted. So I'll just have to go buy new ones. I recommend looking around and talking with the floor reps. I enjoy the products we purchased and recommend Living Spaces to others. read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous. We were told by the sales rep that the dresser included the mirror attached. We asked three times if this was the case. When I picked up the dresser the mirror was nowhere to be found. I was told by the manager Casandra to basically take a hike. We were lied to three times to get us to buy this dresser and then when they had our money the story changed their mind on the mirror. There was no effort to make this right. Stay away from this company they are very dishonest. Casandra had zero customer service. I couldn't believe the way that Casandra just blew us off. I'm returning the dresser. This particle board is over priced. I will never shop here again. I realize mistakes happen, but there's usually an effort to make it right. read more

I purchased 4 items online and gave Living Spaces a correct address. My items were delivered to a random stranger at the wrong address and they refuse to refund me my money or resend the items. I am appalled at their lack of not doing the right thing, especially after my family spent many thousands of dollars with them this year alone. They are willing to lose a long term customer and antagonize people to cheat you out of an extra 100 bucks instead of just making it right. read more

I've never had such a horrible experience. They repeatedly brag that sale's represntives don't work on commission. Of course they don't. It seems to me that they work on a bonus system for unloading, trash on the public. Salesman wandered off with a Manager... for what? I should have immediately walked out, I defied my instincts and stayed. I spent several thousand dollars on furniture. All seemed good. Then... The Delivery. Two men made delivery. Every item they brought in was the WRONG item. I raised objections and told me I was getting what I ordered and demanded I prove it! How the heck would I do that when I purchased what I saw and said I wanted to purchase. I didn't purchase by product name or catalogue number. The younger delivery guy seemed to be in charge. His insults and badgering of me was non stop and intimating. I refused delivery of all the incorrect items. When I requested a refund for the retured items I was met by a wall of disrespect and insult. So I demanded the pick-up and return of ALL items! They're customer service "fixer" was pleasant enough. This business will kiss your feet to get your money, then drag thier feet to the legal limit to delay refund. I shall never set foot in any Livingspaces store again. Next stop, the Better Business Bureau. Where I should have researched first. read more

Whatever you do do not call the main customer service line, they are the rudest & most terrible people you will ever talk to. You will be lied to, hung up on, and they will not follow up on anything they say they were going to do. If you have any issues with your order you must go back to the store and speak with the people there physically. My order from the Gilbert store is three weeks late (after waiting 5 weeks from purchase), and now it's been sitting in a warehouse in California for 2 1/2 weeks and nothing has happened. I was lied to by the customer service rep in the store and told that they cannot call the warehouse. I asked for a manager and then I was told finally yes "they can call the warehouse but they hardly ever answer the phone." The customer service by living spaces internally is garbage. The leadership at this company doesn't care about after sale customer service. Big changes needed at this company before I would recommend anyone spend money there. read more

My daughter purchased a couch here only 2 1/2 years ago. However about six months ago one of the recliners broke. We've been trying to get it fixed and because we didn't spend the extra money for the five year warranty we can't pay and get a repair man from living spaces to look at it . We can't even order the parts out of pocket from living spaces. They do not want to have anything to do with us since we did not get the extra warranty. Sales process ok. They all like to tell you they are not on commission but hey are tripping over each other to try and tell you. Despite being Non-commission, the experience was just as high pressure if not higher than when the sales team profits on their sales. Still ended up spending thousands on a new bedroom set and mattress. Called back later to ask a question and they told me they were too busy to help. I just spent thousands, want a simple question answered, and I can speak to anyone. Even worse, the assistant said she would take a message and I would get a call back. NEVER happened. Won't be going back...this place is dead to me. Save your time and check out The other future outlets. read more

Purchased a beautiful couch from Living Spaces and also purchased the warranty as the couch was pretty expensive and I wanted the comfort of having the added warranty. I couldn't wait for the couch to be delivered. Upon delivery, I noticed multiple blemishes. The delivery men took the couch back, but then I had to wait another week before another couch could be delivered. I enjoyed the couch very much until we then noticed two areas where the fabric was ripping. I put in a request to the warranty company to have these two cushions repaired or replaced. They denied both requests. I went to the store to inquire about it, and they basically told me I was out of luck as it was all handled by the warranty company. For spending this much money on a couch, I would've expected better customer service support. I will also never pay for a warranty again. I thought the whole reason for purchasing the warranty package was to help in times like this. Very disappointing. read more

Hands down the worst experience with any company I've ever had. This was the worst customer service experience through and through. Wanted one bed was suggested to not get it. They said it was more of a bed for a guest bedroom and not a everyday sleep on bed. They showed others picked another they said since we were getting a cal king we would have to spend additional $200 on foundations UNLESS we picked out another bed (this is 2 hours in nowand being told twice now to pick a different bed) so pick a new bed with drawers because they said it wouldn't need foundation if we did that but then guess who got rung up for foundations because apparently you still need a foundation. Then because amount of time in store they no longer could deliver on either day we needed. So much for same day or next day that we were told was available before we even drove to store. They confirmed this when we got there as well but since they kept giving reasons to not get the beds we were picking out they could no longer provide. Left with them pending a follow up call next day to try and set up delivery after speaking to drivers. We cancel whole thing but then can't find a cal king at any other store that worked. We go to another living spaces location explain what happened and they were super accommodating. We got a bed and everything set up. Night of delivery they show up and guess what... there are missing rails or pieces. Delivery guy leaves saying someone from store will bring missing pieces. We wait. Nothing. We go to call the number attached to store and we can't get to the store we get to some customer service number that's a rep in another state. We tell them what happened and they apologize but assure us no one is coming because that's not how it works that no one at store can do that because the beds etc come from a warehouse and have to be scheduled through there. We ask to speak to someone at the store and the rep says she can't do that. We ask to speak to a supervisor and then she says she can put a request in but she can't guarantee anything. 10 mins before store closes someone calls. We have to explain to them because the rep nor the supervisor told them. She then says she has to get with her manager. That manager says they can give us a $150 gift certificate for their store. We explain we are never shopping there again. They waive the delivery fee and say they will credit our account the $150. So we wait for statement in mail. Never comes. Have to call call center. Explain everything. They send us statement and say our account is past due lol we call again and the girl says due to circumstances she can waive the fee but to have the store reverse all charges and just charge one time because she sees multiple charges. Call call center again because we still have not had a call back from the manager of the store. The worst experience of all time. And it's STILL not even resolved. I would give no stars if it would let me. The best part is they sent us an email asking us to review and when we hit post we get cannot post. See picture. read more

I was very very very disappointed with my visit to the Gilbert AZ store on August 5, 2016. I had prepared for my visit to Living Spaces by visiting the website prior to my visit. I selected the furniture that I was interested in purchasing. When I entered the door I was NOT greeted even though there was someone at the door. I browsed the store looking for the items I had on my shopping list. During the 30 minutes I was in the store at least 5 employees passed me and never offered to help. At one point I was examining a coffee table while another gentlemen was sitting on the sofa next to the coffee table I was looking at. An employee approached the man and asked if he could help. Not once did he acknowledge or approach me. At this point I was totally frustrated so I took pictures of all the items I wanted to purchase in hopes that I could find it at another business. If you are looking for good customer service this is NOT the store for you! read more

I'm complaining ashamed of my process with living spaces. I have now been waiting on two different 6 hour time frames for my furniture to get put together. I paid for the service and living spaces was happy with taking my payment right away and I have two order numbers showing that I have paid for the service for then to find out that the order number was messed up and we have to wait for a different day. Well, when we bought our couch and bar stools last summer 2018, we were thrilled with the service. Furniture was beautiful and matched our newly renovated decor perfectly. We were even satisfied when one of our barstools broke because it hadn't been tightened down enough before we used it and eventually it broke. Replacement was very easy and efficient. Then this spring our electric recliner on our couch broke. So, since we knew we had a 2 year warranty we called the service number and it took two weeks to get someone to call us back to discuss how they were going to send a repairman out to look at it and fix it if they could. Then, after much haggling about when they were going to come out to fix it we got the best schedule we could get, 4 WEEKS! OK, today, May 1, was the day they were scheduled to come out. No show! So we called the toll free number and they were "very sorry" but didn't have a date when they could reschedule the visit. So, as of today after almost 2 months we still don't know when the repair service will be coming out to inspect the furniture! We can't even call the local store to get a manager as they only list the toll free number on their website. I'm not sure if I will deal with LS ever again yet. I got a sofabed, mattress, accent chair, and a coffee table. 0% financing for 24 months!! The sales representative are no push sellers, the rep in the mattress bed section is extremely knowledgeable and identified my needs giving pros and cons of every single bed option. The delivery process is also seamless. My only concern why did not give 5 star is they did not deliver my coffee table and failed to communicate that it will be on a separate day. It took me a lot of calling the customer service number to get an explanation. The invoice did not even mention it's back ordered or coming at a later date. Other than that, everything was perfect. I wish I had something better to say. My original table was delivered with a chip on it so I needed another. They delivered a second table which I thought was fine. I had a chair delivered and the delivery person was carrying a furniture marker in his pocket. After he left I started looking at the table and it appears to be splitting. I also noticed a part where it appears to be covered up by that marker. I have to place a warranty claim and hope that they would help because even though I am within 7 days from this table it isn't covered. My point would be to let people know their delivery people carry furniture markers in their pockets to try to give you damages furniture. Buy somewhere else and save yourself. I am giving them one star because the people on the phone are always kind. Even they can't help this. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. Don't waste your money here. Pay a bit more for better furniture. Have had to return chairs twice on our third set due to incorrect assembly. Called 800 number for help. I asked him if I was bothering him and he seemed shocked I could hear him. Moved on to another person who was helpful but never heard back from anyone. Called back spoke to a supervisor Marissa who asked me to send her pictures and she would help. Never heard back from her. Kept emailing her asking what the status was. Nothing. Called back again spoke to another person said Marissa was her lead. Asked to speak to her boss or the GM at the Gilbert store. Was told we don't have that direct phone number. Out of no where got a text. Your new chairs are here ready for delivery???? Got the new ones. Still a few with issues. Noted it on the delivery form. Delivery guy thought they would be fine but I insisted we make the notation. Anyone at Living Spaces care about this? Now we have a new table that is separating and having issues. They refuse to cover it and come look at it. Said it's out of warranty even though I purchased an extended warranty. Said it must crack or be damaged. Well isnt the words separating damage????? read more

This is a terribly run company and I feel like we've been scammed. We ordered a loveseat online on June 8, 2019. After realizing there was no pick up date on the confirmation email, we called and were told the couch was back ordered. This was not displayed anywhere online during the ordering process. However, the card was charged the full amount right away. Sketchy. We have called back twice, and both times have been told "the couch is due to be in later this week." Yet, no call or email to schedule a pickup. When I looked online just now, not only are you able to place an order, you can schedule a pick up?! So either the company is lying to us and selling the stock they're getting to people who have ordered after us, or they are continuing to sell a couch that they don't plan on getting in stock anytime soon. read more

I agree with many of the reviews here... The in store experience is great. They are happy to help you and take your money. However, half of the sectional sofa we ordered was delivered in the wrong color. Second time they were supposed to deliver it, we waited two hours past the promised delivery time and then had to try and reschedule. Now getting the run around to get it delivered in an acceptable time frame.... Headache has not been worth the money we saved! We purchased a Riverside Riata or Tesla Bedroom Set ($2500) and a dining table, chairs in November from this Gilbert, Arizona, store. This has been not only the worst experience with "new" furniture, but an abusive experience overall with their delivery people, assembly people, and customer service process for warranties/repairs (all people all from different companies, outsourced). Abusive given that the bedroom set was (1) damaged, every piece of it, we just focused on the striped stain/varnish finish and broken, ragged seams and dents (for $2500); (2) the installers were sloppy, assembling a huge poster bed with a missing part, huge visible gap, and crooked leg on the bottom of a California King Bed the first time; (3) had to discover missing parts on our own (my husband found it by looking at the installation instructions--who does that?); (4) after another delivery of replacement pieces, the products are STILL damaged but in new and different ways; and their installation was as quick and unconscious as possible, leaving a new huge gap on the side of the top platform bed, and very irritated when I asked them to fix it by moving a board so the gap would be in the center and not show on the top edge. Abusive in that the delivery people had an excuse at the end of the day multiple days, as to why they could not deliver (and spend 3 hours disassembling a huge canopy bed and re-assembling another one, clearly without any training). Then each time, we had to take pictures of the damage, upload, and WAIT. WAIT for them to review, approve a replacement, assess if a repair was possible, get notice about the repair not being possible, schedule a delivery or repair person. And every time with another rescheduled delivery, me waiting around within their prescribed window. Can't they deliver furniture that is not damaged for $2500? Wow! Is that cheap? Now after FIVE TIMES scheduling deliveries and taking time out of my work life to be at home for this, the remedy is a 20% adjustment off each $295 nightstand and individually-priced assembly pieces from the King Canopy Bed Headboard $220, not the entire set or canopy bed complete with all pieces. RIDICULOUS, and ABUSIVE! See what I'm saying now? WARNING, WARNING! Shop around and spend on quality. Who knew? Now you know! Check out the pictures for yourself. Melanie C. Tempe, AZ read more

Horrible customer service. We purchased two kids beds and 2 kids dressers from their Gilbert location and were told we could get same day delivery. We were told to expect any time between 6pm and midnight. We came home dismantled our childrens rooms and waited up until midnight for the delivery which never came. No one communicated with us letting us know. We called Sunday morning asking where our delivery was to which no one had an answer. We were told we could schedule again for Sunday 6pm to midnight. We explained we had 2 chairs being delivered from 10am to 1 and requested our childrens beds be with that order explaining the inconvenience of my children now having no beds and no dressers and it being a school night. No one could help us, offer an explanation or any type of concrete confirmation on delivery. The customer service lady even hung up on my husband clearly frustrated. So all we are left to do is wait up until midnight for the second night in a row hoping it arrives. Terrible experience. read more
