This was my first visit at this restaurant and the food was very good and fresh. The customer service was also good it could use some slight tweaking but other than that it was pretty good as well as the experience

Food is really kinda expensive. It's basic. My recommendation is to only do appetizers and drinks here, there's better food in Auburn. I recommend the spinach artichoke dip for an app. They have lots of drink specials throughout the week-- Mondays are $4 Mojitos and $3 Draft beers. I know Wednesdays they have a martini special. Service is good! Sitting on the porch is fun when the weathers good. Inside is kinda Olive Garden vibes--definitely recommend the porch. It's huge, big bar. You can hear the traffic but not too bad.

I visited Auburn University for the first time this past weekend and was taken out to Live Oaks for dinner! We sat on a stunning patio with lots of space, twinkle lights, and a perfect sunset view - I loved the ambiance here, especially on a warm evening! The menu wasn't super diverse - lots of staple items such as pasta, chicken, or salmon. I opted for the chicken bacon and chipotle ranch flatbread which was very tasty, and I also tried some of my friends dishes (salmon plate and chicken florentine) which were decent as well. Overall the food here wasn't anything crazy special but the drink menu was pretty extensive! I tried the Pearl's Peach which was a mix of real peach pieces with vodka and peach schnapps - very delicious! There was long wait times for food and drinks here, but our kind waitress had apologized saying they were backed up. I'm sure going on another night instead of a Saturday would have quicker wait times, but it really didn't hinder my experience at Live Oaks! Overall, I would recommend Live Oaks as a good spot for parents/families visiting Auburn University as it does have staple items and a great ambiance that would make everyone happy!

I came on a weekend evening just to sit outside and have drinks. Unfortunately it got a little breezy and their heaters were out of propane so we asked to move inside. The waitress was nice and had no problem with this. My 3 stars are mostly because I didn't eat here so it was "A-Okay" based on what I went for. I will say the inside was much smaller than I expected and had a nice intimate, low lighting feel. It would be great for a date. The patio on the other hand has more of a big group, family type feel.

Salmon and Brussel sprouts were very good!

We had a wonderful experience at this Auburn bar and restaurant. The atmosphere, food, and service were stellar. Our party of eight was seated in the large outdoor patio. We started with several appetizers, but the Mac and Cheese Bites stole the show. More than a "bite", these unique creations looked like giant fried cheese sticks. Rectangular patties of mac & cheese were breaded then fried. They are served with a roasted red pepper aioli and a jalapeño honey mustard sauce. The latter was my favorite. For my entree I ordered the Blackened Salmon. It wasn't "blackened" by my definition, but is was still seasoned and prepared nicely. The large filet was cooked just right to me; firm but the meat easily separated with my fork. The Salmon comes with two sides, and I love that there is a wide variety to select from. I ordered Brussel sprouts and a side house salad. The Brussels were delicious. They were thinly sliced and prepared with pieces of smoked sausage. Very fresh and tasty. The side salad was very good, and what you would expect. A mixture of fresh lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, etc. The portion was too large for me to finish. The prices are on the high side for the average college student's budget. But, a nicer experience than the typical college-town restaurant and bar.

I didn't realize this was a strictly outside location, but it was such a nice day I didn't mind! There wasn't a wait at all, so I loved that on a Friday night, got seated, but I hated how long it took for my waiter to acknowledge our table. But once he got to our table I understood why. His name was Eric and he was new and he was so kind! We had a few mishaps, but he handled them great! The food took a long time, but it was because they were short staffed. I got crab cakes and spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. They were a bit thin, but so good and way more sauce than other people give. And the dip was yummy too! To drink I got a tipsy tiger with tequila and they filled her UP! 10/10 recommend that drink. Honestly, the entree was the worst of the evening. The wait + the taste was not good. It was seasoned with nothing but pepper and the sauce was WAY too salty. It was a good dish, but not last night. My friend ordered asparagus and they gave her green beans??? And everyone's chicken was dry. I've heard great things, but nervous about going back because I spent so much for an average experience.

Super slow service. We were sat at the bar and there was no bartender in sight for ~15 minutes. She took a long time to take our order once she came outside. Can't complain about anything else. Nice ambience outside with lots of TVs and covered area

Let me start by saying the building is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like a nice restaurant. Also, the cocktail menu was definitely curated by someone who knows what they are doing. The appetizer Barrotta cheese was the best part of the evening. With that being said, the entrees were lackluster and small. Our food came out lukewarm at best and honestly seemed like not a lot of thought went into them. I know that this restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but I don't think I should pay 55$ per persons meal and still leave hungry. Also, the staff needs training. The whole time it felt like they were concerned with fast turn over and nothing else. Part of upscale dining is that the price of food and quality of service is more important than turn over time. Generally speaking I will not be back to eat here again.

We came Valentine's Day weekend from Columbus, GA after attending mass. He really wanted to take me here and I'm so glad he did. We had the bread and butter which was to die for! I think they gave us too much butter over bread ratio, but l'm not complaining haha. So warm, soft, fluffy and delish the bread was. I don't think we talked much when we had our wagyu steak main course cause it was so good, we couldn't say a word to each other. The pepper sauce with the perfectly cooked medium rare steak (which came cut in two pieces, which is a really genius move to serve steak by the way), with white asparagus, caramelized onion, rose petals, and just pure deliciousness. Literally chef's kiss. We also couldn't make up our mind about desserts cause they had a Valentine's dessert menu and the couple sitting next to us also recommended the cookies and milk. Yeah- I'm really lucky and very spoiled. Definitely hit a sugar high, but absolutely worth it. Servers and greeters were also all so kind and attentive. Definitely recommend :) I think this is the nicest dinner anyone has ever treated me to. Thanks for my amazing boyfriend- I'm so grateful.

Garrett suggested Amsterdam for lunch. Located near the Auburn campus, Amsterdam is one of more well known eateries off campus. Students may not have eaten at Amsterdam, but most can point you in the right direction. I've been tricked by appearances before but Amsterdam is in a category of its own. There's a front and a back part of the building. But I didn't know that until we were led to our table in the back. The front part is a typical "smallish" restaurant with tight booths and tables. The decorations of impressionist painters adorn the walls giving the front dining room a warm inviting feel. When we were led to our table, I thought I was being led to the restrooms. We actually went past the restrooms down a small flight of stairs and into another large room. This beautiful back room was oozing the "hidden wine cellar" vibe throughout. There were tables and chairs in the center with smaller tables and chairs lining one wall and booths on another. Then there's a large full service bar lining the 3rd wall and a workstation on the 4th wall. The ceiling with hanging panels of wood moved the light beautifully and impressed me. There was also a large floor to ceiling wine rack next to our 4 top. Gary tried their Omelet. Three eggs served with conecuh sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese, and potatoes. With the sourdough toast, the plating was immaculate. I didn't get to taste it, but Gary didn't have any deiicions/ Garrett opted for their Brunch special: Apple & Pecan Freeman toast. When it arrived to our table, we immediately noticed the large slices of French toast. As promised, the French toast was topped with slices of peaches and apples and butter brown sugar with white powder sugar as well. Again I didn't get to taste, but I savored it with my eye. Paul and I tried the Amsterdam Burger. He got some fries as his side, but I upgraded my side to a beautifully plated side salad. With the added fried egg, my patty was grilled to a perfect medium with just a hint of pink. Stacked with it was some lettuce, caramelized onions, applewood bacon, spicy pickles, tomato and their traditional burger sauce all squeezed together between 2 bun halves, it has to be stabbed with a long food pick to hold it together. It was juicy, tasty and just Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Other notable menu items include fried brussels, lobster egg rolls, rum salmon, breakfast croissant, snickerdoodle pancakes, steak & eggs, egg white omelet and shrimp & grits. I was told their Crab Cake & Avocado is to die for. Meal prices are on the high end but Amsterdam understands how to elevate Southern comfort food.
