We were seated away from the bar area but it was quite loud to the point it was difficult to hear across the table. The DJ could bring it down a little but the hard wood ceiling and floor bounces sound extremely well. Outside dining may be a good option for a more quiet night. It's a small menu and they were out of two apps on Saturday night:( All that said, the food is very good. I especially liked the burrata and the tuna. The beet salad could use a few more beets but the lamb and chicken were reported as good. Substantial wine list with many Italian options. Well made cocktails, shout out for the old fashioned. Olivine is located on the rooftop of the AC Hotel, the views and overall ambiance are impressive, especially around sunset. If you're planning a meal, I highly recommend requesting an outdoor table, which makes for a much more enjoyable experience. The noise level inside can be pretty high, although where you sit definitely makes a difference. The bar scene looks fantastic and would be a great place to stop in for cocktails and enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the dining experience itself was disappointing. Service was slow and inattentive throughout the evening. We had already finished our meals before our waiter finally stopped by to ask how everything was with our "first bites," which was a bit ironic. The food was just okay. The menu leans Italian, but some of the dishes missed the mark. The vodka sauce lacked the authentic flavor you'd expect, and the pappardelle had an unexpectedly heavy lemon flavor that overpowered the dish. To top it off, we were charged for a second drink that we never ordered. Overall, Olivine shines when it comes to atmosphere and views, and I could definitely see returning for drinks at the bar. However, the service and food quality need some refinement before I'd come back for dinner. read more

This was the best service I have had in years. Maddie was our server. She was just phenomenal!! We had a table of five and she was on point the whole night. All the food, cocktails, and wine were all great! Olivine holds its own in the Auburn foodie scene and I couldn't believe that it was such a new restaurant. Southern Bramble cocktail was my favorite prior to moving on to the wine list. We love antipasti: our burrata di public abd rosemary focaccia. Sweet potato cappelletti and spicy rigatoni all a vodka were favorites. The space of Olivine makes you forget you are on the top of a hotel. I know it is not related to the hotel and has a separate entrance to remind you of that. Beautiful build out. I highly recommend checking out Olivine. They are open table. read more

The customer service was amazing and the vibes were great. I suggest having a reservation ahead of time. The food was good but I wasn't blown away. Be aware that the food comes in small portions. The drinks were good but for the price they could be better. Even though we sat in the inside instead of directly outside the nats were bad. Our server bragged about the Burrata and it was not worth the hype. I highly do not suggest it. Overall we had a great experience, we were not blown away. Although the menu has some good options, more options definitely need to be added. read more

Tonight we had a party of 7 go to Olivine for a GNO. The atmosphere was on point. The servers were top notch. Kiara was one of the servers and she went above and beyond to make our night great. She asked our names at the beginning of the meal and remembered our names the entire night. The waitress with her, Kennley was just as lovely. She made a hometown connection with a person from our party and she too had a ver bubbly personality.. The night was lovely, thanks to their attentiveness. The food however was a disappointment. We were able to get 6pm reservations for a standard table a month ago. This is a new establishment, so we knew it would be a bit difficult. We arrived a few minutes early, and our table was prepared quickly. Unfortunately, we were seated at a high-top table near the bar. The window tables were all full, but most interior tables were empty. Tables are very close together, and the music is loud enough that you can't hear the full conversation at the tables around you. The music was more appropriate for a lunch seating--strong bass and upbeat. It was odd that we were seated without menus. We sat there for several minutes before water service came by, and then a few more minutes before service brought menus. Noel, our server, was very helpful and knowledgeable. She let us know that the kitchen recommends ordering all items at one time. They had a nice wine selection. They have a limited selection of entrees. We were a bit concerned when we noticed most tables were not finishing their food. Most plates were being removed full. Several pizzas went by our table with single pieces eaten. We started with the BURRATA DI PUGLIA, which took a while but was fresh. My husband ordered the PORK SHANK, which was large and very hot. I had the SCIALATIELLI, which was nice, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I was informed I could add shrimp, but I chose to order as offered. The table next to us had the SMOKED MUSSELS and SPICY CAESAR as starters. They said the mussels were good and the Caesar was basic. They had the RAVIOLI AL CAPRINO and the PORK CHEEK PIZZA. They said they would order the ravioli again. For dessert, we ordered the MILLE-FEUILLE and the VANILLA BEAN CHEESECAKE. The Mille-feuille was very dry. Would not recommend at all. The cheesecake was large and would be perfect to share. It was a bit dry on the outside edges, so much so that the graham cracker crust fell off. Once you made it to the center, it was nice, and the orange blossom honey cream was a nice touch. There was one fig segment in the center and 4 berry pieces. Parking is in the city parking deck behind the hotel ($1 per hr). There is a separate entrance to the rooftop dining, but it was closed tonight. Turns out the designated elevator was out of service. The hotel elevator was very slow. The outside seating was very nice. There are several fire pits. Many people were enjoying drinks around the fire pits. Unfortunately, it does overlook the city parking lot/deck. The Samford cloak tower is visible in the distance. I'm sure the sunset views are amazing. We would return for the ambience. At these prices, there are now several other options for better meals (with more selection). At the end of our meal my husband made a visit to the restroom. As he was leaving the door to the water closet opened and an employee emerged and promptly exited the room walking directly into the kitchen. My husband made a point to look for a handwashing station that may have been used but there was not one. The dress was casual. read more

Stopped in for deserts and cocktails after dinner elsewhere. We were staying at the hotel so wanted to go up and check it out. Deserts were so great - the cheesecake and the lemon crème brûlée both 10/10. Service was solid also. The place was incredibly busy and everyone working hard to get tables served. Absolutely horrible. This place would not allow my friend to get a drink because she seemed "inebriated". Meanwhile it's 9:30 at night in a college town and a group of 10-15 people absolutely screaming at the bar but yet she seated quiet and not bothering anyone. They also allowed our party to order drinks, brought said drinks to our table then proceeded to tell us they were not serving her. This was my first time dining at Olivine and I was very impressed! The atmosphere reminded me of a restaurant in Los Angeles. My server, Jack was incredible! His knowledge of the dishes and recommendations were on point. I had the roasted beet salad, the squid ink pasta and lamb chop lollipops. The food was delicious! I come to Auburn regularly for business and I will be back with clients and I will ask for Jack to be my server. Highly recommend. read more

Our first dining experience at Olivine was Sunday brunch yesterday. The atmosphere was classy but not pretentious or stuffy. The service was impeccable. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife had the French toast, which she loved, and I had the pancakes. The amaretto infused syrup was incredibly delicious; they should bottle it for sale. The after-brunch cocktails were incredible. The meal was a little pricey but not bad and comparable to other upscale establishments. The only downside to the entire meal was that the bloody marys were too salty. We will definitely be back; in fact, I'm planning to make reservations for dinner sometime before Christmas. read more

The look and views of the restaurant are great. Service was great, food was good as well. Few things to work on; the music was way too loud, more of a night club vibe than a fine dining experience. Server had to yell at us to take our order. Good music just way too loud it made conversation at the table difficult. Lighting outside and inside the bathroom is almost none existent. My wife felt uncomfortable. I had to pull out my phone and use the light to read the signs on the wall to determine mens from women. The menu is narrow which I din't mind but the server could not provide details on the entrees or how they are prepared. Great potential to be one of the best in Auburn, just need to work on some of these small things to make it complete. Everyone should try it, we will again.
