    Wagyu NY Strip!

This has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Auburn! Not even close! Every item on the menu is phenomenal... the ambiance and view are epic... and Kiara might be the best server in the city! We will request her every repeat visit! She nailed it! -Dave & Luke

We were able to get 6pm reservations for a standard table a month ago. This is a new establishment, so we knew it would be a bit difficult. We arrived a few minutes early, and our table was prepared quickly. Unfortunately, we were seated at a high-top table near the bar. The window tables were all full, but most interior tables were empty. Tables are very close together, and the music is loud enough that you can't hear the full conversation at the tables around you. The music was more appropriate for a lunch seating--strong bass and upbeat. It was odd that we were seated without menus. We sat there for several minutes before water service came by, and then a few more minutes before service brought menus. Noel, our server, was very helpful and knowledgeable. She let us know that the kitchen recommends ordering all items at one time. They had a nice wine selection. They have a limited selection of entrees. We were a bit concerned when we noticed most tables were not finishing their food. Most plates were being removed full. Several pizzas went by our table with single pieces eaten. We started with the BURRATA DI PUGLIA, which took a while but was fresh. My husband ordered the PORK SHANK, which was large and very hot. I had the SCIALATIELLI, which was nice, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I was informed I could add shrimp, but I chose to order as offered. The table next to us had the SMOKED MUSSELS and SPICY CAESAR as starters. They said the mussels were good and the Caesar was basic. They had the RAVIOLI AL CAPRINO and the PORK CHEEK PIZZA. They said they would order the ravioli again. For dessert, we ordered the MILLE-FEUILLE and the VANILLA BEAN CHEESECAKE. The Mille-feuille was very dry. Would not recommend at all. The cheesecake was large and would be perfect to share. It was a bit dry on the outside edges, so much so that the graham cracker crust fell off. Once you made it to the center, it was nice, and the orange blossom honey cream was a nice touch. There was one fig segment in the center and 4 berry pieces. Parking is in the city parking deck behind the hotel ($1 per hr). There is a separate entrance to the rooftop dining, but it was closed tonight. Turns out the designated elevator was out of service. The hotel elevator was very slow. The outside seating was very nice. There are several fire pits. Many people were enjoying drinks around the fire pits. Unfortunately, it does overlook the city parking lot/deck. The Samford cloak tower is visible in the distance. I'm sure the sunset views are amazing. We would return for the ambience. At these prices, there are now several other options for better meals (with more selection). At the end of our meal my husband made a visit to the restroom. As he was leaving the door to the water closet opened and an employee emerged and promptly exited the room walking directly into the kitchen. My husband made a point to look for a handwashing station that may have been used but there was not one. The dress was casual.

Great service and great views! Was super busy, but our server made us feel like we were forgotten. Cocktails were delicious!

Fried green tomatoes- wasn't the biggest fan of pimento cheese, but if that's your thing I'm sure it would have been delicious. I had the strawberry / spinach salad. It was decent but a little too much dressing on parts and a bit dry in others. The biscuits were a star of the other meal. Sadly, no lattes... the only other bummer was that the waiter forgot my cocktail. He apologized when I asked for it... I know accidents happen

I believe it effected some of the flavors of foods that were boiled in it, too. Gnocchi had some of the same off flavor. In addition, some of the flavors just feel way out of whack for totally unrelated reasons. Sauce that the duck came in was thin and overwhelmed by honey. The risotto it was served with seems like it should be rich and homey. But despite a crazy amount of added dairy still tasted thin and flat. Can't tell you why. Wonky seasoning? None of the dishes reflected any familiarity with acid to lighten or balance a dish. Fried green tomatoes were pretty mid despite a quality remoulade and a bunch of pimento cheese. Ingredients seem like they're decent quality. Desserts are legitimately top notch. Everyone recommends the peanut butter pie. And it is excellent, though pretty obviously not long out of the freezer. The affogato Is legitimately fantastic. And I'm not even talking about the pageantry of dumping the espresso on the salt ice cream. The combo is legitimately satisfying, like a well-rounded creamy candy. The plates are funky and cool and beautiful. The staff all seem like they're 19, attractive, and gregarious.

We came Valentine's Day weekend from Columbus, GA after attending mass. He really wanted to take me here and I'm so glad he did. We had the bread and butter which was to die for! I think they gave us too much butter over bread ratio, but l'm not complaining haha. So warm, soft, fluffy and delish the bread was. I don't think we talked much when we had our wagyu steak main course cause it was so good, we couldn't say a word to each other. The pepper sauce with the perfectly cooked medium rare steak (which came cut in two pieces, which is a really genius move to serve steak by the way), with white asparagus, caramelized onion, rose petals, and just pure deliciousness. Literally chef's kiss. We also couldn't make up our mind about desserts cause they had a Valentine's dessert menu and the couple sitting next to us also recommended the cookies and milk. Yeah- I'm really lucky and very spoiled. Definitely hit a sugar high, but absolutely worth it. Servers and greeters were also all so kind and attentive. Definitely recommend :) I think this is the nicest dinner anyone has ever treated me to. Thanks for my amazing boyfriend- I'm so grateful.

Let me start by saying the building is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like a nice restaurant. Also, the cocktail menu was definitely curated by someone who knows what they are doing. The appetizer Barrotta cheese was the best part of the evening. With that being said, the entrees were lackluster and small. Our food came out lukewarm at best and honestly seemed like not a lot of thought went into them. I know that this restaurant is supposed to be upscale, but I don't think I should pay 55$ per persons meal and still leave hungry. Also, the staff needs training. The whole time it felt like they were concerned with fast turn over and nothing else. Part of upscale dining is that the price of food and quality of service is more important than turn over time. Generally speaking I will not be back to eat here again.
