Little Tokyo is a nice, family friendly restaurant. They have several Japanese as well as some Korean dishes & sushi. I had the Chicken Bento box, which had miso soup teriyaki chicken, California rolls, salad & rice. There is a deluxe bento box available that has 3 goyzas & tempura instead of California rolls. Everything was yummy & I liked their teriyaki sauce. The service was friendly.

A 'I need to go get groceries today, but I don't want to be hungry going in' staple! Little Tokyo has stuck through thick and thin over the years and there's a reason why- the food is good, the service is prompt and kind, and they've just always been a convenient location (with good-sized portions). As our family grew over the last couple years, the servers are always sweet and accommodating to our nearly two-year-old with high chairs and we discovered the kid's bento is just the right size. I recently had the beef bento. I like it much better than the teriyaki chicken (it's a little on the goopy side for me). Thank you, Little Tokyo! Always a pleasant visit.

Heard that it was under new management and that there was an improvement in the food and yes it true I am very pleased with my meal. The spider roll is one of the best I had in Whatcom County. Also the tempura vegetable roll had either kobocha(Japanese pumpkin) or sweet potato but it's amazing either way. The rice was seasoned well. I also had the oyako-don grilled chicken and eggs with onions simmered in a sweet soy sauce over rice which again was one of the best in town, check them out!

I like this place a lot. It's pretty consistent and well priced. The gyoza are delicious and we get them by themselves as a snack before going to haggen a lot! This last time we went we decided to try out the teriyaki, I got the chicken, and my husband got the salmon. Both were very very good but I think I won ;). We tried the yam fries instead of the gyoza that time just for fun and they were so good they were gone before the food got there. (which is very very very quickly) The ambiance is cute. I like the wood pannelling for the enterance and the beer posters aren't American so they're interesting for at least a lil bit. The service is awesome. Everytime we have gone, which has to be around 5 times at this point, the service has been stellar. The food comes out fast, it's not hard to grab someone's attention, and everyone is very friendly. All in all this place is a go to for us. The food is fast and yummy. Doesn't taste like it's premade. We have tried something from every category on the menu and are yet to be disappointed!!

Wonderful place. Good service, fresh food and delicious teriyaki. I stop by here often and one thing that is solid is consistency. They have fresh ingredients and their sushi is good.

Stopped by to have a fish dish. I had "Saba (mackerel)" bento which came with rice, salad, and miso soup. Tasted ok, price reasonable, $10.95. オーナーが変わってから初めて立ち寄ってみました。鯖弁当を注文、お値段と量はなかなかでした。でもお味は普通かな。。ベリングハムには焼きサバのあるレストランが少ないので文句は言えないですね。

Service was ok. Rolls were small and expensive. I had no idea that fish could be cut so thin and not in a good way.

Every time I'm in Bellingham for work I make time to stop into Little Tokyo for my lunch. Excellent service, excellent food.

If a customer doesn't want the soup and asks for a bit more rice instead, give them some extra rice. How expensive is a bit of rice?

Creative high-end sushi roll deliciousness. I'd easily give Little Tokyo five stars if the prices weren't just a tad high for Bellingham.

So Yummy! And generous! My favorite is the teriyaki chicken and California roll combo. Comes with salad, rice, and tasty miso soup. 10/10

Would be worth the price if the portions of meat/protein were a lot bigger.

Their menu is really easy to read and understand and they are very friendly and quick. They give you a buzzer you can take with you and go find somewhere to sit which is great. We decided to try the rice noodle soup with beef, potstickers and donuts. The soup was amazing. So much flavor and packed with lots of noodles and beef. You get quite a bit for what you pay for. The potstickers also had lots of flavor and was the perfect texture with just the right amount of crisp. The donuts, oh wow. These are amazing! I would come back just for these alone! They were served hot and drizzled with a perfect amount of sweetened condensed milk, they were so good. Our food came out quick and hot and for how much food you get and the quality of food you get it's definitely worth it. We will be back!

The setup includes a couple of food trucks and a covered beer garden with seating. We decided to grab our food to go since the weather wasn't cooperating, but everything still tasted amazing back at our hotel. We ordered vegetarian dumplings, vegetarian fried egg rolls, chicken dumplings, pork Chinese buns, and chicken rice noodle soup. Every dish was flavorful and fresh. The soup in particular had a rich, comforting broth with tender chicken, noodles, and cabbage. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and service was fast. The woman working the truck was friendly and welcoming, even with the wind and rain coming down. We will definitely be back next time we are in Bellingham. If the weather is better, we will stay and eat in the beer garden. This place is a great find.

Part of my "food plan" for 2026 includes giving restaurants I previously avoided another chance…read more Zen Sushi was near the top of this list! When they opened many years ago, there was a lot of well-deserved local buzz. From stunning decor to one of the longest sushi conveyor belts I've ever seen, it was worth a visit just for the visuals. But the food and service were inconsistent, and I ended up never going back after my first few tries. Fast forward to the other night, my daughter and I did a mini "sushi hop" and ended up here. I have to say, I was pretty darn impressed! The conveyor belt was still just as long, and the ginormous sculpture (imported from Thailand IIRC) was still looming over the place. But they seem to have settled into their groove after so many years in business here in the Ham. We enjoyed a variety of options from the belt, including a few tasty rolls, as well as some nigiri ordered off the menu. Everything was fresh, hearty, and delish. I thought the prices weren't too bad, either. I will definitely look forward to visiting here again next time I'm having a sushi craving. I do want to say something about the service, as I noticed some recent reviews have mentioned problems in this area. On our visit, our server was very responsive and the special menu items we ordered came out quickly. So, at least on this particular night, there were no issues for us. Hopefully they're working on this!
