The pictures here made the place look majestic and maybe it's my outlook of life but the place is very small with around 4 tables and a bar set across the place with bar stools. We didn't mind that since we were hungry and their prices were justified. The service was good. When we walked in, it was just one man running the show and it seemed liked whatever was ordered ahead of you got made first instead of all the sushi's together or however else restaurants would do it. So you pretty much have to wait until the table ahead of you receives all their food. There was someone else who worked there that walked in later so it went by a bit faster. We tried 2 sushi rolls, and an appetizer. Pictures posted and as you can see, the presentation was uncalled for. Didn't realized we were in for a treat visually as well. Mmm sushi is one of my favorite foods! I was excited to try this place after so many recommendations from friends. We went on a very busy night, but the staff was kind and offered us free miso on the house for the long wait. I was very pleased with bento box and the Boulevard Roll was excellent!!! Salmon is one of my favorite fish for a sushi roll and the smoked salmon in the middle and regular salmon on top paired perfectly together. Not the best place for a sit down meal. Limited space for seating and unfortunately the table we sat at had a VERY sticky surface (my paper napkin stuck on the table). Not sure if it was the cleaner or if it was dirty before we sat down. A little pricey meal overall, but the quality is definitely there. I recommend this place as a perfect option for take-out. read more

I eat here once a week, the Bellingham roll is the best roll in both price and quality you will get around town--fresh salmon with lots of crunchy veggies surrounding it. I've been coming to Jun for years because of the Bento boxes though I've tried a bunch of their sushi rolls as well. It's pretty small inside so not great for huge groups but the owners are really nice and often will be taking your order, cooking and serving, especially these days with Covid. Prices are good for what you get. Again I love the bento boxes, but the sushi rolls are also fantastic. In the spring and summer you can sit outside and enjoy Bellingham life going by and a little sun which really makes this a wonderful spot for lunch or an early dinner. Quaint, small, quiet little place. The sushi and sashimi were reasonably priced based on other sushi restaurants and the current price. The flavors were excellent. Service was reasonable except for a miss on my wife ordering tea. We had to ask a second time and we waited for it to be prepared. It was very hot and a rather large cup so it wasn't until the end of the meal she was able to drink about half of it. However, also at the end of the meal, after the check arrived, we were offered miso soup, and we graciously accepted since it was cold outside. We will come back and try it again. There was only one other table with two guests besides us which half filled the seating area inside--two cold to sit outside. And one person came in to pick up an order. The two gentleman running the restaurant are very nice and provide good quality sushi prepared well. read more

I have been coming to juns sushi since I became a student at western and for the 3 years I've been a student I've tried every single sushi place in Bellingham and I have to say Jun's takes the cake every time. Not too many places to eat up in Northern Washington area that I found myself in Bellingham searching for Ramen. We found Jun Sushi and Bento that offered Ramen. The location is easy to find and I'm glad they offered other dishes for my party. They enjoyed their sushi's however I was not pleased with my ramen. TIP: I would not recommend ramen here. Find an authentic Japanese restaurant that specializes in ramen. Our server, who seemed to be party of the management crew along with the Sushi Chef were absolutely nice people The restaurant is not large at all. So about my ramen, it was more like top ramen from a package. It's unfortunate as I'm not a ramen connoisseur but I've had a lot of different japanese ramen. This was more like Korean ramen to me. I might be wrong but I've dined at some Korean restaurants that served this type of noodles as a fried noodle dish. The noodles were definitely dried and not fresh noodles. I was very pleased with out waitress! She was on pointed, answered all my questions and really made the experience welcoming! The owner was taking the food out to the tables and asked us how our food was! I decided the get the ramen and to be honest the price was right and the deep fried shrimp was only an extra dollar! I was content! I got that and my friend and I shared a Seattle roll and woahhhh that was delightful! The flavors were great! We actually drove through Bellingham to go to this spot and never had been! It was cute to see the kids and families come in, you knew it was a family spot and the kids LOVED the avocado and rice sushi! It was a huge deal for them! My friend P and I were on our way to border shopping and needed a place to have lunch so we went here around 1 ish. Upon arrival waitress walked out to greet us and we were seated quickly. Waitress, the Korean lady, was friendly and chatty I talked to her in Korean about our drive to the border and etc. She was chatting with my buddy P as well and we enjoyed the company with her. Service was fast. We ordered 10 pc combo (tuna,salmon and yellow tail), chicken katsu combo and BBQ chicken combo. Our bento box combo was big and filling and shouldn't have ordered 10 pc combo in the first place. Everything was freshly made and they were all delicious. We were both surprised at first that tuna sushi was pink NOT white. Must be a different type of sushi and I should've asked the waitress. I ended up taking leftover from chicken katsu combo I ate. Couldn't finish all after 10 pc combo. My buddy was already full from eating that too. Waitress waved at us even when we left and she was very nice. read more

TL;DR: Our go-to! Full disclosure- I didn't eat here but the group I was with did. Every time we/ they are in the area, this is a must! (I'm not a sushi fan in general.) The menu is HUGE, so there are plenty of options for all the sushi lovers out there. We drove all the way from Oregon and this was a must the second we arrived.
