I cannot believe all the good reviews for Little spoon. I went in with high expectations and left deeply disappointed.
Firstly, the hospitality requires work. The female staff working there did not smile nor said much the entire time. When we asked questions, she gave one word answers with a poker face on.
The macaron ice cream sandwich looked delicious and Instagram worthy. We got one of the strawberry Basil's. Oh man, i have not had such bad ice cream sandwiches in my life. The macaron itself was rock hard and it stuck to my teeth and gum. It was so sticky that i couldn't remove it with my tongue. I had to manually scrape off the dust-like texture macaron off my teeth using a hand. That was not how a macaron is supposed to taste. And oh, it came with such a hefty price tag for what I got.
We also got the fresh figs and walnut ice cream for my daughter. Initially, the staff only scooped up to the edge of the cone. I questioned her about it and showed her the quantity customers normally get from their store via pictures on Google. She then scooped up a bit more begrudgingly.
