    Wagyu burger
    Vy T.

We got halloumi and hummus to share, both were good! The hummus has a strong bell pepper flavor, which I'm not familiar with but I enjoyed it! The pita was okay, played as a supporting character than main meal. I got the Wagyu burger, which was pretty good. It's not as fatty as I thought it would've been, a good thing so I don't get palette fatigue. We came as a group of 6 catching up and they let us stay for a really long time, which was must appreciated!

This place had been on my list for a while. I was in the area after a work event and decided to go. I sat at the bar at the staff was amazing they took care of me really well. The portions here are pretty big so I do recommend sharing. I ordered the cauliflower and the chicken dish. I also had an amazing Martini. The vibes are dope for a date night, friends dinner or even for clients.

Came here to try the food. The appetizers weren't that good. Lamb chops and lamb entree were okay. The best thing they had was the chicken brochette was the best thing on their menu. I would only come back for the chicken brochette. The other things on menu were okay. I would recommend here to try. Their baklava is not bad. The pomegranate helps balance the sweetness level.

Service was really good. The food was also really good but a different pallet of taste and then I'm used to. I got the lamb kebabs, the flavor of the meat was very good and the temperature was perfect. This would be a good spot for a date. Cute vibes

Um. Wow. This was delightful. I ordered the "grilled artichoke". It was grilled hearts, "sautéed" Fava beans, preserved lemon, blood orange, flat leaf parsley, mint, arugula. DE-lightful. Light yet filling. So good. The owners are charming the bartenders are fantastic. Will be back. Prolly tomorrow.

Came here for a birthday brunch and was pleasantly surprised. We were outdoors in the covered seating area with heaters but they weren't too warm. The service was quick and efficient and the food was tasty. We got the trio dip appetizer for the table and I got the lamb brochette while my boyfriend got the mom's recipe okra with lamb. The dishes were beautifully plated, flavorful, and the lamb was tender and juicy. I definitely recommend this place to satisfy your middle eastern cuisine cravings.

Ended up at Little Rascal after The Egg Shop was packed on a Saturday morning. Happy we did! The place was completely empty, we were the only ones inside. I ordered the vegan bowl which was great and super flavorful but way too oily for my taste. My boyfriend got the Turkish quesadilla and liked it a lot. The portion sizes are HUGE too. We shared the breakfast potatoes and I wish they were crispier but still enjoyed. A decent spot to stop in if you're in the area!

    Cacik

Best Turkish meal I've had after coming back from Istanbul (and you should know I've sought out some of my favorite dishes at the most famous Turkish restaurants in Cliffside Park and Brooklyn). We did a brunch feast - we would have started with a traditional Turkish breakfast, but unfortunately due to COVID, they were out of our favorite item, honey and crema. However, we loved everything we ordered, starting with the cacik (pronounced ja-jik), served with a fluffy, focaccia-like bread. This was followed with a delicious simit sandwich covered with olive tapenade, a spinach gözleme (labeled as a "Turkish quesadilla"), and an off-menu order of peppery and tomato-laden menemen. The gözleme was the favorite, if we had to pick one, with a velvety soft dough and just the right amount of saltiness from feta. Service was very friendly and helpful. If I had to offer one piece of feedback it would be on dessert - the baklava was quite mediocre, especially at $10 for 3 pieces.

Great environment. Hot for a summer's day, a couple of people left because there was no AC but the food is refreshing, light and delicious.

This popular haven for theatergoers offered us a sophisticated spread of fresh seafood, expertly grilled meats, and authentic appetizers. Our favorites included Pita Bread, Pickled Cabbage, Chicken Shish Kebab, Hummus, Shepherd's Salad, Babaghannous, Eggplant with Sauce, Falafel, Greek Salad, Lamb Shish Kebab, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Mediterranean Salad, Shepherd's Salad, Zucchini Pancakes, and Baklava. With its blend of exceptional food, an inviting atmosphere, and personalized service, this is one special restaurant that we will want to return to after our next Broadway musical. Akdeniz was the perfect Midtown setting to share a meal and vibrant conversation with amazing poet and educator Susan Gimignani Lukas.

The manti was so delicious and I was so glad we ordered that as our entree. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would recommend this place if you're ever craving Turkish food.

I added to my list but didn't try it until this week and I was blown away! The restaurant is lovely and has a great vibe (although it is a little loud due to the low ceilings). Service was great reflecting exceptional Turkish hospitality. My friends and I started with small mezzes (all delicious) and zucchini blossoms, which I could have had as a standalone meal. I had the Turkish delight meat dish and that was super. My husband had the beyti and it was the best I've ever had. We all ate way too much and waddled out of there way too full. Prices are about what you'd expect in that part of town and it's worth every penny. I will definitely be back. I recommend that you go here too and am confident you'll find everything is cok guzel!

Super glad I got to try out NAR and I hope it does well, because the food is straight up amazing. I started off with a glass of the Cotes d'Avanos Narince Blend from Turkey and I highly recommend! It's medium bodied and acidic, with mineral, stone fruit, and citrus, and would go really well with seafood. For food, we began with the mezze sampler, which included babaganoush, muhammara, and hummus. This is a great way to start the meal, especially since Nar serves a delicious bread (crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside) as a complementary starter. My favorites were the muhammara, an intense, piquant spread made with roasted red peppers and pomegranate molasses, and the ever-smoky babaganoush, which was served with pomegranates. The hummus was great, too; I just thought it wasn't a standout. -Aegean Style Cherry Vine Leaf Sarma (stuffed vine leaves, cherry yogurt, pine nuts, currants): Delicious. The savory, salty sarma are tasty on their own, but best when lightly sweetened with the cherry yogurt and tart, juicy currants. -Beyti Kebab (hand minced lamb wrapped in lavash, yogurt, confit tomatoes): This was the most flavorful lamb - juicy, smoky, perfectly spiced - I've had in a long time. The lavash (bread) that it was rolled in was also spiced, the yogurt was cooling, and the tomatoes and bell peppers a fresh and flavorful accompaniment. We finished off the meal with ice cream and Turkish coffee. The coffee took a while, so they took it off of our bill, which was a kind gesture. The ice cream was a different experience! It was made with goat milk, so the flavor was distinct, and it was extremely thick. High-quality and fun to try, but just a little too thick for my preferences.

I got to try a variety of different items, inducing: ayran, chicken Adana sandwich on home bread, Turkish tea, and rice pudding. The ayran was probably the best I've ever had in my life. It was so refreshing, the perfect amount of salt, so good. And it's homemade. I would highly recommend you try this drink regardless of what you order, it's that good. The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It's served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price. Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect. It's a pretty small restaurant but doesn't get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it.
