I do not know how you people can say that this establishment is good or very good. This place was horrific. I place my order online at 12 noon at 1:30 P.M. I still hadn't received my food. I was told twice that my food would be here in 5 mins. once at 12:54 p.m. and again at 1:10 p.m. apparently if people say that this place is good or very good then you do NOT know jack and your expectations are very low. I discovered this place about 6 months ago. It replaced another Chinese Take-Out Restaurant, "Emperors Palace" I believed it was called. Well this place, Little Panda, is one of the must go places for excellent Chinese cuisine in the area. I have been here serval times and the food speaks for itself. You can taste the freshness and the quality of the ingredients. During the past six months I have ordered once for take out. I called ahead, a girl answered, she was nice, could be a little more friendlier over the phone, went to pick it up, came back home and one of the items was replaced with another item I didn't order, no big deal, called back and spoke with the manager, he took care of it and gave me a credit for next time. Handled very well and professional! I have dinned in here serval times, very clean, eye catching pictures of their food on the wall. My only suggestion is the temperature, since the tables are close to the door it gets cold very quickly when someone opens the door. Went in today, had a very good meal. There was a gentlemen I've never seen before there, Trevor, must be new but he was very polite and helpful. This review is far overdue as I frequent this place quite a lot. I go there for lunch at work. The staff is super friendly and the service is always quick. I love that you can grab what you need from extra sauces to chopsticks, napkins, or whatever. Best General Tso's Tofu ever!!! I wish I could eat here every day. This is the closest Chinese restaurant to my house and I am so glad it is, I really love it. I've been there about a dozen times - eat in, carry out and delivery - and the food is DELICIOUS. It tastes fresh and healthy and the sauces are amazing. Their lunch special is a fantastic deal and offers so much variety. My favorites are Szechwan Chicken, Bulgogi Beef and Thai Basil Chicken. And the chicken fried rice that comes with the lunch special is really good too! The portion sizes are generous. I get two lunches out of the lunch special. I agree with the other reviewers that their service has gotten much better over time. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could! read more

The lady that answers the phone and takes orders here is very rude. I've been a customer here continuously only because the food is good and it's close by. I had a hard white rock looking thing in my food one time called back and they said the manager wasn't in and nothing was ever done. Another time she argued me down abt sauce and just now she kept hanging the phone up everytime I called and jus said call back later and hung up. This place was very good and tasty! Had to find a new Chinese place to eat since the one we usually go to down the road was not tasting good any more. Was kind of skipitcal at first bc we have been there when it was first open and it wasn't really that good. My son suggest we try it again bc he had enjoyed it with a friend recently. Food was good. Mongolian beef is very good. Service is rather slow. We came on a day when there was no one else in the restaurant, yet it took them a while to bring out my entree. The staff did not care to explain that they have a lunch special which included the same entree at the time we ordered. The lady at the register was not customer-service oriented at all. We asked if we could have the soup from the "lunch special" as they had not told us there was a daily special, but they were not willing to accommodate our requests at all. The lady had an attitude and got defensive over a petty request! She seemed very possessive over her restaurants name! She even criticized the Thai restaurant which was previously at this location! DO NOT EAT AT THIS NON REPUTABLE PLACE. VERY UN HYGIENIC PRACTICES. I ordered a bubble tea. The Chinese lady looked like she had the flu and was on her phone talking in her native language. She continued to do so while making my drink. Was peaking to see what was going on while she was making it one handed while still talking on the phone. She kept going back and forth to get stuff and some of the utensils that I assume are to make the drink she put into her hands the parts that should not be touched... After 10 minuets I walked out. I love this place. The pad thai is amazing. I have probably ordered 5 times, and the last 4 was the pad thai. its just spicy enough, and the noodles are perfect. I just tried the kimchi today, and definitely will order again. The spring rolls are so yummy and crispy. Definitely fast on delivery also. read more

We tried this place and got carry out. The food was extremely bland and had little flavor. My husband ordered a spicy beef dish, and it was not spicy, nor flavorful at all. He had to doctor it with our own hot sauce and hot peppers at home. I ordered sweet & sour chicken, and it had no taste, even the sauce was bland. We will not go back. I have been going to Little Panda since the restaurant changed from the former Thai restaurant. From the beginning the food was very good and made to order. Recently however, the quality is less, smaller portions, and they denied me from making the order as I desired. What also disturbs me about Little Panda is the lady owner. She never smiles, is not friendly, and most of all, treats her cashiers poorly. The last time I was there and ate in the restaurant (Usually I do take out) this same lady practically threw the dishes on our table with nothing said, even after I said "Thank you". Service is great here. Cashier is always friendly. The place itself is small, but vary vibrant and uplifting. Food is very good compared to most Chinese places in Elgin. Worth the visit. Also reasonably priced for the portions you get. Bubbly tea here is good. read more

We always have had it delivered, we have 3 children and they don't like chinese food too much, and the delivery drivers are always very prompt and nice! Sun 2/14/2016 - We ordered online for family of 6, site said it would be 50 min, after 70 min we called and they said it was on it's way, 2nd call after 100 min we were told we used the wrong web-site to order from but that the driver was just given our food and we should have it shortly. We live only 7 min away. Food showed up 125 min (2 hours, 5 min) after order was placed. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! When we complained to the driver, he said he was just given the order to deliver and that the owner was "very unprofessional". We called again to talk to someone in charge, but was told the manager was busy and would call us back later. They have NEVER CALLED to hear our complaints! Food was cold and soggy. We have ordered from this place several times already and enjoyed the food. Always received everything, until tonight. We did not receive our egg rolls and asked for them to be delivered. While we waited, we went ahead and started eating. That was when my husband discovered his Mongolian Delight which is supposed to have beef, chicken and shrimp, only had beef in it. When he called and told them, the woman he spoke with was extremely rude and basically called him a liar. She said the cook said he only made one order of Mongolian Delight and it was ours. That may well be, but it was not delivered to us. She said they had 10 other orders going on, so Maybe someone else got it, along with our egg rolls. The conversation started to get heated and she would not admit a mistake was made and then just hung up on my husband. We are very angry at the extremely poor customer service and we will never be ordering from there again. read more
