Then the owner comes out and starts taking my food out. If you place an order $50 or more you get an appetizer for free. our previous visit they forgot it and we were told the next time when we place an order to remind them and they will give us one. So since this order was over $50, I got one appetizer for free plus the appetizer that they forgot about last time. The owner comes out and starts digging out the additional appetizer. You only get one you only get one. Which I nicely explained to her that they owed us two. Very unpleasant woman. But the disappointment comes when I get home and opened all of the containers. Mongolian beef was horrible. It's called Mongolian beef because it's supposed to have beef . The dish is 90% onion couple noodles throw in and a little bit of beef ....just horrible. Same thing with other two meals where you had majority of vegetables and no meats or shrimp. Very disappointed with the order. They are becoming hidden and miss restaurant. You never know if you're gonna get a good order or a crappy order like we got today.

My husband and I have been enjoying food for years now from the China Bistro's owners' first restaurant in CL We just love their Chinese food! When we discovered that the owners opened up another restaurant, China Bistro of Algonquin, we were excited - to say the least! Now, we can have our favorite Chinese food more often - at a closer location to home. China Bistro's Crab Rangoons are the best we've ever had!!! And, if you like "sweet & sour sauce" - the Sweet & Sour Sauce that goes with the China Bistro's Sweet & Sour Shrimp, Chicken, Pork, etc. is awesome - absolutely delicious! Our place of business has catered several events through China Bistro. The people who attended the events raved about the food! We order food from China Bistro for lunch at our workplace. It's always here hot, on time, and with a smile! We love China Bistro's food, and if you haven't tried it yet - do so, and we're sure you'll love it as much as we do! Barb read more

i went here alone around 6 ish and the ugly male chinese guy served me. i ordered a seafood pan fried noodle and ate some of it since it wasn't really good. i went out already and was already sitting in my car and checking my phone when he came out and knocked on my window. he asked, "CAN I TAKE YOU A PICTURE"?! and i said no and HE STILL INSISTED! like omg, WHAT A TOTAL MANIAC SERIOUSLY!!! plus the fact that he is so damn ugly but seriously though i felt so violated. i just left WHEN I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE ON THAT PERVERT! i told my friends and family about this. my father was very angry and he said he wants to go and confront the man there when my mom stopped him. although, we are not going to eat in this place ever again. read more

Worst Chinese Place EVER!!!! Don't bother with this place unless you like having their arrogant staff be completely disrespectful and inappropriate towards you, or if you like getting your food an hour later than they told you, cold and bland in flavor and what's worse is it isn't even the right order!!! The male employee, "ozzie" as the delivery driver called him, was a complete pr**k. He hung up the phone when I asked to speak to a manager about why I was being told my food was going to take another hour to be delivered. I would recommend going with ANY other chinese restaurant than this one. read more

It's in the small details when they overstuffed our seafood fried rice container ($11), accommodated that I wanted it without soy sauce (I've been on a fried rice kick sans soy sauce lately - it's less sodium and I feel like I could taste ingredients better). I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice. It had calamari, imitation crab meat, shrimp, and onions. It was a perfect blend without too much salt or oil, and to top it of-- the rice was soft. I really dislike it when Asian restaurants make hard rice, or let the rice it too long because you can always tell when the rice is getting stale. My hubby was craving Garlic chicken ( small size for $8). We were quite hungry so we had already began eating before I realized I didn't take pictures of the rest of the food. By the time I took a photo the garlic chicken has already been half eaten. I liked that it had a little zing to it with chili peppers flakes, and has a little sweetness to it which goes perfectly on top of white rice. My favorite part of this dish is that the chicken was moist and soft. I can't enjoy a dish when the chicken is overcooked as that makes the chicken really dry. They had the perfect big, fat eggrolls - two for $5.25. The homemade apricot sauce was on point -- 10 out of 10. Not too many place have great homemade eggroll sauce offered with eggrolls. And we're not talking about the sweet-and-sour sauce packets. Those are not the same thing! For us Chinese and Asians it's all about the sauce and my husband is super picky about it. That's how you tell it's legit eggrolls. He approves of this sauce. We only wish that they gave us two servings of it versus one because I quickly ate 2/3 of the small sauce container for my eggroll and he wasn't too happy. Lastly, we had the hot and sour soup (large size $6). The ingredient were fine, but I have to say it was too salty and missed a mark on the sour. Finding the right balance makes the sauce for me. I judge a lot of places by their soups. This one was close but I have to take off a star for that. Overall, this was a satisfying meal and it didn't break the bank. We will be back to try more dishes. I saw that on their menu, they have seafood boil, and I'll be interested in checking that out in the future. I also need to remember to take more pictures of food before my hunger sets in.
