The hot and sour soup has 0 flavor. It's oily, which is new to me, and gross. I got a beef dish which was 70% oil. It had some actual spice to it which was nice but unfortunately it was swimming in oil and rather flavorless. The fried rice is the worst I think I've ever had. Sorry, too many options around to ever try this one again.

I was happy they had a daily special (included on weekends as well) that is only $7.50 - I got a spring roll, egg drop soup, steamed white rice and orange chicken. I also ordered the Taro milk tea, which was only $3.75 for a very large drink! The portion sizes are decent and not overwhelming which I love. Although the ambience was not the best (pretty grungy and run-down- but charming in it's own way, the service was great and staff friendly. I will probably return to try other items on their daily lunch special.

The food was not good, but I figured it was because it wasn't what I originally had ordered. Flash forward to a few days ago when I was visiting friends and thought I would give it another try. Order was correct, but the sesame chicken was absolutely inedible. It's not like me to throw food away, but this went right in the trash. Chicken was dry and tough, breading was greasy and incredibly salty. It is very, very rare for me to give a negative review, but this time it was so bad I couldn't let it go. Did get soup as well which was not as bad, but still very salty. I do hope this place is able to step it up as the people seem nice

The interior is very simple and typical of a hole-in-the wall restaurant. Outdated curtains and furniture, but very nostalgic and comforting. I tried the egg roll- which was amazing. I'm not a huge egg roll person but loved this. I also ordered the combo lo mein (shrimp, chicken, and steak) - absolutely delicious! It was a bit oily for me, but tasty all the same. I got the small size option, but I couldn't finish it all! I also tried the combo fried rice and it was spectacular- not as oily as the lo mein, which I preferred. Service was prompt. The place wasn't too busy- there were 2 other people besides me and my party of 3 and another gentleman walked in to place a to-go order for FIVE egg rolls! - I guess that is telling of how great the egg rolls are at this spot.
