Yaa, I guess I'll be the first one to review good ol George's lol…read more I moved out of Winona this last jan, but I had to visit George's a few times last month when I was visiting my brothers . George's is one of the best bars to go to if your a packers fan living in Winona, it's right across the river. They have plenty of flat screen TVs to watch the game, they also have pool tables, dart boards and the good old slot machines that can take your money in a heart beat. As for the food, their wings are to die for, on wed you can get 10 of them for 2 bucks!! Be sure to get the spicy kind, they are to die for. And their Chicago style hot dogs are really really good, only a buck on Thursday. I basically lived off this place when I was in college!! And don't forget to try the shake of the day, you could win the jackpot or the other prizes like 50 bucks or drink chips, and if there are two bartenders then you can try your Luck twice, good luck!! Pros: very affordable and good bar food, friendliest bartenders ever, great place to cheer on the packers, good parking options. Cons: when it's really packed service could be a tad slow, no dance floor and most of the clientele are an older crowd.

Place has been upgraded a bit but looks a little crazy due to Minnesota's FANTASTIC COVID regulations. But all in all, brought back some great memories. Staff was great, on the ball and very friendly. Kids had great meals and said it was all delicious. With the new menu (again, been about 10 years) I did have to browse and settled on the BBQ Burger, and made it a double (standard is 1/3 lb). It came with potato chips or you could "upgrade" to French fried for $2 or waffle or sweet potato fries for $3. When the plates came out, the portions on the "upgraded fries" were rather disappointing. The children's fries were almost double the adults "upgraded" fries. So with that, the additions charge seems rather steep for what you get. Otherwise, it was a great night and the food was delicious. It was nice to come back and relive a few fun memories. The kids definitely had fun and enjoyed their dinner.

I ventured into a most interesting establishment in Winona this Friday evening, and it proved to be precisely the tonic I required. The dining room was delightfully serene, with only a select few patrons present a peaceful arrangement that I found immensely welcome given my disposition. Upon my arrival, the gentleman assisting me extended an incredibly warm and friendly greeting. His attentive hospitality was thoroughly consistent throughout the evening, and I found the caliber of service to be entirely satisfactory. After requesting the menu to review their selections, I settled on the Pork Belly Tacos. The waiter politely inquired if I would care to include a side of rice with the dish, which I gracefully declined, and my order was processed with admirable efficiency. I must also commend the interior architecture and design. The venue possesses a wonderfully historic, old-world soul, yet it remains impeccably well-maintained and structured rather than ruined. It is a highly impressive aesthetic that adds an air of refined charm to the experience. The comforting atmosphere and flawless execution completely turned my evening around. I am quite enamored with this delightful Winona find and shall most certainly be returning
