Great urban feel, nothing says urban than a restaurant in a renovated factory! Large windows gave an airy feel, beautiful original red brick walls, augmented with large Italian scenic photos, definitely give it an industrial aura. We started with a sangria, we had been in Spain the month before and wanted to relive that visit, we found the drink to be very authentic. We shared the cheese and salami appetizer and were very happy we did! It came bubbly hot with a delicious baguette. We were seated at the counter in front of the prep area. The pizzaiolo was very friendly and accommodating to my barrage of questions about the pizza ingredients and the dome oven. The pizza itself was fantastic, nice thin crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and ample tasty toppings. I would highly recommend Uno Venti and look forward to our next visit. The only thing that surpassed the food and atmosphere was our server, Kayla. Prompt, attentive, knowledgeable, and a great sense of humor. Great experience all around. read more

My experience was unremarkable. The Greek Goddess pizza was not made with much love. It was easy to tell it was made from muscle memory with too much white sauce and over loaded in the center. The kicker was the Basil was dumped on the top. It reminded me of kicking the grass clumps around after mowing a long lawn. Bartender served me. No issues there. Bartender did fine. The place did not offer anything remarkable to make want to drive the 100 some miles roundtrip again. Next time I'm in La Crosse I will try some different. Glad I tried it, I know it's there. Sometimes food becomes secondary when details are not up to par. The pizza and salad I ordered were lovely. I ordered the fig with a drizzle of balsamic. It was good however maybe a little over zealous on the balsamic glaze because it was too sweet in my taste -it also had a topping of fig. The service was great. Montana was attentive and graciously corrected a mistake on our order. The ambiance is also great. Open space with tables large and small. My suggestion for a detail that needs addressing is the utensils. Perhaps a small detail, yet for those of us who cut our pizza, it is an impossible task with a dull knife. Same with the forks. Mine was bent and it just took away from the whole dining experience. I will be back for sure because when the people are great and welcoming, the small details can fixed. This is just the cutest spot. We had to wait a bit for a table but I totally understand why. They make the pizza in a giant stone fire oven right in front of you! We had two people and ordered the rosemary focaccia and two pizzas which was more than enough. This spot is very versatile; good for families and kids and good for a date night. Let's start with the less good... The atmosphere is a little bland. Very "this is a cool pizza place in suburbia" vibes, but this isn't suburbia, so it feels very meh. The service around our meal was perfectly fine, but we asked for a box and it took a while for it to show up. I think she thought, for some reason, that we asked for it in preparation of needing it but we're still eating. We were done though. So box and checkout were slow. Northern of these issues was remotely a big deal, but those were my cons. For the pros, the food was quite good. We started with the Warm Antipasto Dip. It was a cheesy, meaty concoction served with a nice amount of quite tasty bread. It was delicious. We ordered two pizzas and it would up being way more food than we needed. They really are two person pizzas (especially if you had an appetizer)... One was the That's a lot of pig. It was excellent. The pancetta in particular really made it dang good! The other was sausage with onions. It took was excellent. I preferred the pig over the sausage and onion by a hair while my husbanded went the other way. Excellent cauliflower gluten free pizza crust. Small but loaded with stuff. Great flavor. All the pizzas appeared to get a little burnt along the edge, so if you don't like it that way, ask to have it unburnt. We were there at 18:30 on a Friday. So it was extremely busy with a long wait for pizza, but salads were good. Our waitress was struggling. She tried giving us the wrong pizza and totally forgot about the drinks. Also the pizza was a bit overcooked (very burnt along edges). But we were sitting at the counter watching the guys make them, and commented on the burnt-ness. They were very nice about it and immediately made a new one at no charge. Ambiance was not the best in the front room. Many tables & loud. Not sure what the back was like. the service absolutely sucked, which was so disappointing as we were very excited for this dinner. our server never checked on us once, and seemed super annoyed based on his own mistakes. he messed up our food order which shouldn't have been hard... all we ordered was 3 pepperoni and 1 margharita, and the server gave us 3 margharita and no pepperoni. we told our server that this was wrong and he said, "i will bring you pepperoni to put on your pizza" he never did. i went up to the server and asked him to just get us some pepperoni pizzas since our friends at the table didn't like the margherita. it then took 20 minutes to get the rest of our food to get to the table which was super unfortunate because my friends were done eating when we got our food. the food was okay, but overall this situation ruined our night. read more

Easy 5/5 recommendation. Possibly the best Pizza in La Crosse. I reccommend trying both this and Dolorossa to see which you think takes the crown. Uno Venti is my absolute favorite pizza spot in La Crosse. When you walk in, your nose is instantly filled with the wonderful smell of freshly made, home cooked pizza. Their open concept kitchen allows you to see the pizzas being cooked in the stone fire oven, or you can sit at their bar area surrounding the oven for a more intimate experience. They also have plenty of seating inside, with an awesome chalk board wall for the kids to write on and draw pictures, or for you to let them know how much you loved your experience. In the summer, their beautiful patio is open, allowing you to enjoy your pizzas outside, while also enjoying the wonderful summer weather. Now for the good stuff: their pizzas. Their pizzas are TO DIE FOR. Their dough is homemade and gets perfectly crispy in the stone fire oven, while their ingredients are fresh + local. They have very typical pizza ingredients (sausage, pepperoni, onions, etc.) while also having different, yet delicious, ingredients (figs, pancetta, variety of mushrooms, ramps). They also have a featured pie each week, including fresh, local ingredients that aren't usually found on the menu. We've tried multiple pizzas on the menu, as well as their featured pies and have never been disappointed. Finally, where they're located is right by the river, so after you're done indulging in their pizzas, you can have a nice walk by the river and enjoy the scenery and beauty of Riverside Park. My first trip here and it was not good. Horrible service by the hostess. We were a party of 3 arriving at 5:40. She said it would be 15 minutes , An hour later we were still waiting. We walked in for carry out having no idea we did so 5 minutes before they were closing. They were awesome though and the server/hostess checked that we could still order and helped recommend a pizza. This place was a huge disappointment. My in-laws were here for the soft opening and brought home leftovers to try. They were great! So a few months later my wife and I decided to try it on a date night. Since I'm writing my review a while after we ate there I don't remember exactly what we ordered. However, both pizzas that we ordered were sorely lacking in toppings except for one topping on mine which was drowning in balsamic vinegar. Sent that one back. My experience with this restaurant is pretty much on par with Piggy's (same owner). Overpriced and mediocre at best. read more
