Excellent service-very personable and fun to talk to the bartender and the cook. Great beer selection and the food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend! read more

Very classy place with great pizza! Good stuff on tap and if you like that, you'll be happy. Lots of character: it feels like an old saloon and the mechanical safe door out front makes sense for its name. Very cool booths and bar. It feels very well conceived and put together as a whole and comfortable as well. The pizza is on the awesome side, especially if you like thin crust pizza. It's as good as it looks. I ate way more than I should have. Oops. As a bonus, they were open on a holiday, though understandably understaffed, I was glad, since many others were closed. Give it a try! Rah rah rah! read more

See all

This place has great pizza and the atmosphere is fantastic! Tons of beer on tap; lots of craft beers, if that's your thing. Plenty of tv's to watch the game and a jukebox for Saturday night. read more

It was my first night driving from Chicago. I was tired, hungry, and indecisive. One of the guys who was helping open the cabin where I was staying recommended Safe House. I called and Nick helped me pick a beer and another man took my pizza order. Very soon thereafter, delicious beer and Canadian bacon pizza arrived at my door. (The man who delivered the food was even nice to my dog, which is an extra star in my book.) Thanks, you guys. I come to Lansing every Fall, and I promise to see you again. Maybe I'll even eat in. read more

We heard from another place in town that this was the place to go for pizza and it did not disappoint. While the prices are a little steep, they were very delicious! We got 3 larges (just try the shrimp/crab pizza) and they were each amazing. read more

Pizza has been consistently delicious for several years. Such hearty delicious cheeses mixed perfectly with any variety of toppings. Beer offerings in so many styles on tap, bottle or can. Getting your select beer served in a frosty chilled mug is always the way to go. Service might be a little slower when it gets busy, but that's how it goes in small town bar&restaurant gems like this so just be patient. You'll be happy you stopped. read more

Best pizza in the area. Thin crust and plenty of toppings. Best selection of beer outside of La Crosse and super friendly staff. We can't say enough good things about this place. I love the decor and food. It's the best around! read more

Pizzas and wings were AWESOME! Drinks were AWESOME! Cute little place Will definitely be back when we're in the neighborhood!

First time and was very impressed with the cleanliness and delicious pizza. Bartender was amazing! Atmosphere was also very pleasant.

The best pizza we have ever had. We travel 3 hours a couple times a year just to eat it. The service is always pleasant and makes us feel like a local even though we aren't. The restaurant has neat antique items and information on things from the past. The building makes it feel like you've stepped back in time and the bank safe door makes it even better. We never run out of things to look at while waiting for our food! 10/10 read more

Awesome pizza. The kind of place you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. We love it here. Somewhat spendy and there aren't a lot of tables, but it's a good small town pub. read more

Good selection of craft beers. Decent food. Pizza was good. Relaxed atmosphere. Nice staff. .. If you are in Lansing you should go.

What an unexpected great find. Unique tap and bottle selection. Fun pizza menu. Had an Asian themed one- thin crust and tasty. Wings were crispy and the recommended homemade hot sauce was spicy and flavorful beyond that. Decor was interesting. Bathroom had a cool pull chain toilet. Not a ton of space for groups, so best for groups of four or fewer. Had tv at the bar so good place to watch the game with good food and beer. I don't hesitate to recommend this place and wish we had a bar like this in our small town. read more

We love the The Calypso, which is a thin crust Pizza with Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Tomatoes, Garlic Chicken, Feta Cheese and a Homemade Pesto Sauce. It probably sounds weird, but we like to add Black Olives. This Combination might be my favorite Pizza ever! We have only gotten carry out from here, but they are always fast and friendly. read more

Very happy with our experience! Good beer selection, great pizza (Cat's Meow), and the wings might be best I've had! They are much larger than your usual wings and the Boom-Boom sauce is flavorful without too much heat for those that don't like heat. read more

I've been to the Safe House many times, the beer selection is the best or better than your going to find without driving an hour or more away. The pizza is the best in the area and the staff is knowledgable about the beer and always willing to go the extra mile to make every visit a great time. In addition, they have really fun events, beer tastings, murder mysteries and more. If you haven't been and want a great experience stop in you won't be disappointed. read more
