If you are in the area this is a must-stop for breakfast or lunch. The coffee is great, we sat out on the deck with a beautiful view of the river and the bridge. Food is delicious with massive portions. Super friendly and fast service

What a charming coffee house! We were staying at a nearby cabin and found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try on our first morning for coffee/breakfast. The outside, though cute enough, does little to prepare you for the expansive and utterly charming interior. In the front of the shop, there's a bar and tons of seating as in the evening's this turns into a beer/wine bar. If you proceed through that area, you'll find the coffee bar. It's an order at the counter and they'll bring the food/coffee to your table sort of set-up. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (smoked turkey, egg, and cheddar on a croissant, panini style), a caramel mocha, and a slice of their hot chocolate cake for good measure. Their espresso wasn't terribly robust (ok) but the sandwich was delish. My son deemed it the best breakfast sandwich of his life (don't know if I'd go that far but it was tasty!). The hot chocolate cake was rich, perfectly dense, not a bit dry, and completely delicious. We were able to get a spot in their loft that overlooks the shop on one side and the Mississippi on the other. If there's space, highly recommend sitting up there! The service was lovely. We were in at around 9am on a weekday in winter and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The prices were on the higher end of average (breakfast for 3, was $50+). Get to it!

Absolutely a gold mine of a coffee! I had the chicken salad, and it was amazing! Service was top notch and the owner opened the museum attached so we could go thru that as well. A must stop for all!

A Chromatic Feast: The Warm Embrace of Sagra in La Crosse…read more To dine at Sagra in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is to be reminded that genuine culinary warmth can be found far from the traditional epicenters of Italian gastronomy. Guided by an exceptionally attentive and gracious staff, the experience unfolds with a well-paced rhythm that immediately puts the diner at ease. It is an establishment that clearly understands the intersection of great service and great food. The meal begins with a study in subtle elevation: olives presented with a gentle, deliberate warming. It is a small but vital touch that awakens their natural oils and briny depth, setting a welcoming tone for the table. The meatballs follow suit, boasting a robust, comforting heft. They are deeply hearty and undeniably tasty, anchored by a rustic authenticity that demands a proper piece of bread to chase the remaining sauce. However, the quiet star of the evening was a sweet potato dish that essentially stole the stage. It was a vibrant, chromatic triumph--an absolute masterclass in both visual palette and culinary palate. The kitchen managed to coax an astonishing spectrum of colorful flavors from the root vegetable, elevating a humble ingredient into something genuinely amazing. "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -- Federico Fellini The pasta course, often the crucible by which an Italian kitchen is judged, was a remarkably pleasant affair. While it may not have possessed the sheer, surprising theater of the sweet potatoes, it remained a fundamentally nice, deeply satisfying plate of food that grounded the meal in tradition. Ultimately, Sagra delivers an unequivocally great dining experience. It is a restaurant that balances hearty comfort with vibrant execution, proving that a well-crafted Italian menu in the heart of Wisconsin is a journey well worth taking.
