a burger and fries on a plate
    Wendy R.

I stopped in for lunch with my sister and had high hopes for something delicious. I ordered their chicken sandwhich but the waitress came back and said they didn't have that so I ordered their vegan burger with a side of hash browns instead of fries and my sister got their mushroom Swiss burger. The place had one other lady at the bar and it was a longer wait that I would have expected for our two plates. The vegan burger was surprisingly good- I would just suggest serving the sauce on the side as mine had too much and made the sandwhich very messy to eat even after scraping off a considerable amount. My sister liked her burger too. The diner could use some warming up and music. It was dead quiet in there and has kind of has a church basement feel to it.

Good food and the chef is willing to get creative with customizing your order if it isn't busy. Cinnamon rolls are really good too.

There aren't many options in Boscobel for a meal. The meal I had at Udder Brothers was quick and…read moresomewhere between fast food and a diner. One of the interesting things was the condiment cow, where you milk the teat of your choice to obtain ketchup, mustard, or mayo. There's a few coolers with a selection of local meats and cheeses. The interior is small; approximately ten tables, if I recall correctly. It's of the better options in town - otherwise you're in for a bit of a drive for a meal.

Inside, there's an entire fridge stocked with Wisconsin cheese! Not to mention the ice cream bar. Since I was short on time, I ordered quickly and went for a chicken wrap. I probably should've gone for a burger (their specialty), but sometimes you're just not in the mood for one, you know? The wrap itself was a bit skimpy, but the fries came through. They were extra crispy. Let's talk about the sauce bar. Best part of the place. I had to "udder" my ketchup and ranch--it doesn't get much more Wisconsin than that. Next year, I'll be back to give Udder Brothers a real shot with one of their burgers, some ice cream, and some cheese to go. It's definitely worth a stop for something unique but probably should get yourself a burger.

This sandwich shop and coffee bar has a fun industrial and vintage charm, and plenty of seating throughout the location. The location was also well lit and airy, and I loved the exposed brick walls and fun eclectic frames along the walls. The service was also excellent and the girls who worked here were so sweet and helpful! My boyfriend and I both got the reuben and our friend got a chicken wrap. Both of them said they enjoyed their meals, and I thought my reuben was excellent and much preferred to typical road trip fast food stops. It was genuinely the perfect stop midway from Nebraska to Chicago, and a nice opportunity to stretch our legs and have a refreshing and filling meal. I would definitely recommend to try Big Bill's!
