Pie-Zano's Pizzeria - Cheese Slice of Pizza

Pie-Zano's Pizzeria

That's Italian…read more Pie-Zano's serves a Pie that's as close to a Brooklyn Pizza as you will find around here. The New York Style Crust and savory Tomato Sauce come together to make the perfect hand-held, foldable Pizza. The expansive lineup of Pasta dishes are also right out of the Big Apple. Calzones, Strombolis, Hot Sandwiches, Cold Sandwiches, Appetizers, Salads and Deserts are all on the menu. If it's Italian, this Rolesville trattoria probably serves it. The one negative is that there is no inside seating. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful on our first visit, and we were able to enjoy a bright sunny day at one of their outdoor tables. Otherwise this is one of the best take-out Pizzerias in the area. We enjoyed an 18" Pepperoni Pizzaand 10" Individual Pizza with Onions and Bell Peppers. Both were delicious - with just the right amount of savory Tomato Sauce and melty Mozzarella Cheese. Another favorite was the Penne Arrabiata Pasta with Black Olives and a Spicy Tomato Sauce. The Penne was cooked perfectly, the sauce tantalizing and the portion more than enough for two meals. My favorites are the Italian subs. Pie-Zano's sub rolls are everything a perfect roll should be: slightly sweet, slightly crispy on the outside, enough texture to provide a satisfying crunch when you bite into it and king-size. Any filling would taste great when stuffed inside one of these beauties. The Special Sub is crammed full of Ham, Salami, Provolone, Cappicola, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Banana Peppers and seasoned just right with classic Italian flavors, Olive Oil and Vinegar. A complete meal on a roll. The only item that we did not particularly enjoy was the Baked Spaghetti with Ricotta and Mozzarella. We found it to be rather bland, but were able to bring it to life with some oregano, basil, red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil. This would be a perfect dish for the kiddies - and enough to feed two or three of them.

I will admit. This place is the BEST New York style pizza place in NC…read more Venue: well. I would have to label this place a Neo- hole in the wall. It's full takeout. No table sitting inside. There are tables outside if you want to eat there. Food: so my family member drives here 40 minutes just to get cheese pie here. Wondered why such far drive but I will admit it. Best cheese pie ever, especially if you are NY pizza enthusiast. Crispy and light crust, taste and amount of marinara and cheese was on point. When you hold the slice- it stands straight, not like a limp.. nm. The pie was extraordinary! So I get it now. The drive was worth it. Service: not much service going on here. Price: 3 large pie for $48. Great deal!

ANOTHER great experience…read more Pizza is superb. Perfect crust, dressed just right with the ideal ratio of cheese & toppings. Wood-fired for a crispy crust. Tried a new one this time - the Bianca. This is a white pizza - ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan. Perfect mix, nicely seasoned. If white pizza is your thing, get this one! Celebrated their anniversary with cannoli! I'm a huge cannoli fan and these hit the mark! Crispy shell, creamy not-too-sweet marscapone filling swirled with mini chocolate chips. These are excellent - I hope they get added to the regular menu. Congrats to this family-owned business on your 5 year anniversary. Keep the pizzas coming!

Hot honey drizzled on spicy sausage with spots of creamy ricotta for contrast? Brilliant! Sure you can customize your pizza and they'll accomodate you, but the combinations they put together are so well balanced, you really should trust their "suggestions." And, don't miss out on their pasta. You don't need to run to a sit down restaurant for a pasta al forno experience, you can grab it here. Add your favorite pizza topping and you've got a great comfort food experience. If they're at a rodeo or an event, don't miss the chance to try them out. And if they're not too busy, great conversation too. :)

An OK spot for pizzeria fare in WF…read more It's a big place, at least 25 tables. Decor is Americana-kitsch. (Think Cracker Barrel). Also features a prominently displayed political flag - guaranteed to antagonize 50% of the patrons which to me doesn't make sense. And could very well explain why it wasn't very busy on this Friday night. Service is fantastic. The young lady helping us was professional and efficient. Food came quick, order was correct and she made sure our glasses were never empty. Food is ok. Didn't order pizza, as was in the mood for other Italian specialties. The garlic knots were interesting. Reminded me of crescent rolls made out of pizza dough. They're served dry, with a cup of garlic butter dipping sauce. Tasty enough, but not really how I envisioned them, slathered in butter with chunks of garlic, served in a basket. Baked ziti was ok but bland. Pasta slightly overcooked so it was mushy. Sauce is good though, a little sweet. Similar experience with the fettucine. Fettucine cooked right, sauce didn't have any zest to it. Will give another try, next time to taste the pizza. Hoping that this place succeeds.

Restaurant is super cute and the employees were all very friendly and welcoming. Order was ready for pickup at the right time, no wait. Pizzas were good, we do tend to like our white pizza with ricotta (my fault for not paying attention) and it was not as garlicky as we like but good overall. Onion rings were scrumptious and the mini cannolis were very good! Plenty of parking and great location. We will definitely be back!

First time visit as I wanted to try a new pizza place in Wake Forest. I'm glad I did. Paco's is…read morein the same place that used to be Little Caesar's pizza. I placed an online order for a Margherita pizza with sausage and a cheese pizza, both 18 inches. The website was easy to order from, no issues there. They even accepted Google Pay which was a nice bonus. Prices were also inline with similar pizzas in the Wake Forest area from non-major chain restaurants. The wait time on a Friday evening was about 30 minutes (same as mentioned when ordering) which is inline with other local pizza shops during that time of day. When I picked up the pizza, a lady greeted me with a hello and a nice smile, can't overlook that nowadays! My wife and I had the Margherita pizza and my son had the cheese. The Margherita was very good. I figured I'd like it, but was a bit surprised how much I'd like it. Thin crust. If you like olive oil and garlic, like I do, you'll appreciate it on this pizza. I think they enhance everything else on the pizza. They are pronounced, but not overpowering. The pizza was not greasy, with the ingredients (fresh spinach, onion, tomatoes) very fresh tasting. The crust was ok, not special, not bad at all, but the toppings definitely made up for it. I think some additional flavoring from yeast would have helped the crust. My wife also really liked the flavor of the pizza. We'll definitely put this on repeat in a future order. My son thought the cheese pizza was good, similar to other pizza restaurants in the area that are not large chain types. Overall, I'm glad I took a chance and now have yet another option for pizza in Wake Forest. I'll be back!

It took an hour to be delivered, was ice cold when it arrived but also, there was not much cheese on it. The sauce was very meh as well. Maybe it was an off night? Either way, we did not enjoy it, not sure we will order again. Think we'll stick to Romeo's.

Walking into the restaurant it has a lively, upscale, and New York influenced vibe. When you enter the restaurant you'll check in with the host to be seated and then be shown to your table. Once seated we were greeted by our server Brittney who made sure the dining experience was excellent. It also happened to be her birthday, happy birthday once again Brittney!! For drinks I ordered the Long Island Iced tea (vodka, rum, tequila, gin, triple sec, sour mix, and a splash of cola) and my partner ordered the Appletini (vodka, sour apple pucker, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup). Both drinks were excellent and were nice and smooth. For our entree we split the Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti. We also ordered a side of spaghetti and it was the perfect amount of food for two people. The chicken parm was seasoned perfectly and may be one of the best I've ever tried. Overall this was a great experience and I look forward to our next trip to Anthony's La Piazza Prime. I'll have to try the Lobster Ravioli on this next trip with the vodka sauce.
