It's obvious that it is under new management and appears to have undergone a renovation. While I was just getting a drink, the fried chicken looked do good that I am going to stop in tomorrow on my way out of town. Another thing that I wanted to highlight was the gentleman who helped me. I think he was a manager? Anyway, he was super friendly and appropriately conversational. I complemented him on the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the tasty looking food behind the counter! He said that they had been working really very hard to get the restaurant running properly once more. Needless to say, they have accomplished that! As I was leaving, several other patrons were pulling into the parking lot and the drive-thru was appropriately busy as well! Only to be stabbed in the heart when I realized Wingstop had completely gotten rid of the fries I have long known, loved, and was specifically craving. The new fries were hot and freshly fried, but nearly flavorless. The new "sweet and salty seasoning" is a far cry from what it was. Powdery, dusty and lack luster.. barely there. Not granules of sugar and salt like the old days. The potatoes seem like completely different potatoes. No skin. An unfamiliar golden brown color, and again, boring and near flavorless. Wings are still alright but I will not be coming back, because the signature fries they got rid of are what MADE the meal. Sad to know I never in my life will again get to experience REAL Wingstop® Fries. A damn shame. They also got rid of the tea machine that made my favorite green tea of course, the only thing I would get at Wingstop. Cutting costs by changing things that people love will continue to lose you customers! I hope Wingstop reconsiders their terrible decision in doing this. The food can certainly take longer to get out when they're not there. Tara is an amazing waitress--she has such a fun personality, makes us feel right at home, and practically knows our order by heart. We always enjoy chatting with her! Trina is just as wonderful and is fantastic with our kids as well. It's rare to find servers who are this genuine and attentive. They truly make every visit top notch! I do wish that they had regular size spoons (or teaspoons) available. i did not like using a giant serving spoon to eat. But that did not detract from the taste of the food.
