Chicken Fried Steak - A white round plate contains a serving of chicken fried steak with some portions eaten, along with a side of cooked green beans. A fork and a knife rest on the plate, with the knife partially covered in sauce or gravy. The plate is on a wooden table, with a receipt, a crumpled napkin, and a drink in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant.

Neri's on the Square has all the charm you'd want from a small-town Texas restaurant. The location is great, the staff is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is welcoming. We ordered a few things, and while the fried ravioli and sweet potato fries were solid, the sides actually stole the show--especially the green beans and mashed potatoes. They were flavorful, well-seasoned, and honestly better than many high-end places. But then came the chicken fried steak... and I haven't stopped thinking about it--but not in a good way. While the portion size was huge, it was 80% breading with a slice of steak so thin it could have been served on a Philly cheesesteak. I've officially nicknamed it the "World's Thinnest Chicken Fried Steak." It's easily the worst version I've ever had, and that's a bold statement here in Texas. I'll give Neri's another shot, but next time I'll stick to what they do best--and it's not the CFS. (5 for service and sides, 1 for the steak

Three gals on a road trip to Archer City and stopped at Graham to eat. Found Neri's and enjoyed the decor and ambience as a former store on the square. Ordered a very dirty martini with Tito's and was pleased with the pour! I had the small order of Parmesan chicken wings, one friend ordered the chicken salad ( very savory with capers) and other friend had turkey flatbread. It was a pleasant meal with attentive wait staff.

Stopped for lunch on a road trip home after Thanksgiving. Old store ambiance! We ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer, it was served on short order with ranch and marinara. My daughter's ceasar salad arrived quickly too, and it was quite large for a side salad! I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on fresh wheat with sweet potato fries. My wife ordered a Philly with sweet potato fries too, while my daughter ordered a cheese burger plain and dry. I ordered coffee, my wife and daughter ordered water. My coffee wasn't hot however. Our wait was longer than expected but when our meals finally arrived they were served hot and fresh, the presentation was pleasing too. My to go coffee was hot and plentiful. IF you're not in a hurry on your journey, I highly recommend this restaurant. If time is an issue...

Best CFS we've ever had. (That's saying a lot coming from a Texas born and bred foodie!) Epic portion! You can't even see our potatoes!

Neri's never disappoints! The chicken fried steak is our absolute family favorite. Literally the best we have ever eaten. It is always tender, breading is always crispy, very flavorful and it actually stays ON the meat! (you know how the breading often slides right off a CFS like a sock when you're cutting it- that never happens with Neri's CFS) The portion is enormous and 2 or even 3 of us can easily share this dish. I'm very picky about gravy and I love theirs! Not packaged gravy mix. The fresh green beans are perfectly seasoned and sautéed. Mashed potatoes are always on-point. We are at PK every 2-3 weeks and a trip to Neri's is a must. Another review mentioned the CFS being thin, but I feel that must have been an isolated event as we have never experienced that in the 5+ years we have been eating there. The unique mural is such a cool touch in the atmosphere of this historic building. Service is always great. Owen, one of the managers, is such a friendly and genuine person. You can tell the quality of your experience really matters to him. Other dishes enjoyed by our family are the flatbread with turkey and grilled cheese with bacon, tomato and avocado. Our daughter's favorite is their tomato bisque. You just can't go wrong with Neri's. If you've never been, you gotta go. If you've been and disagree, it's really worth another try!

Food was amazing this week. The fish sandwich was my favorite bite in a long time. So good!

Easy to find on the large square.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely lunch here after visiting the fort outside of town. We found a nice shady spot to park in the large square across the street. The restaurant was busy for a Monday, I thought, with lots of locals who knew one another. Despite being out-of-towners, we felt quite welcome. Their menu offered many options, from salads to sandwiches and burgers. My wife ordered a chipotle wrap with sweet potato fries, and I got the club sandwich with homemade chips. Both sandwiches were fresh, delicious and had bacon. You can't go wrong with bacon. The fries and chips were served in cute little metal fry baskets. The dining room was kind of eclectic, with several different seating areas all surrounded by at least a dozen flat-screen TVs. I got distracted several times when a SpongeBob episode started. Service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our meal and visit.

Lunch steak tacos on lettuce wraps - The image shows a serving of lettuce wraps containing grilled meat and chopped vegetables, arranged on a rectangular metal tray. A small cup of green sauce is placed nearby on a checkered paper, with a wooden table surface underneath. The presentation suggests a casual dining setting, possibly at a restaurant offering fresh, healthy dishes.

My coworker and I have become cozy with Neri's. Since the first time we visited, we felt the food was worth coming back. It's never really super busy when we visit during lunch time, which is okay with us. We normally stick with the lunch specials. The very first time we dined in, I had chicken wings. The wings were average but filling. I think I had the Thai chicken wings. Very tasty. For this visit, I chose the tacos without the taco shell. The waitress tild me that they could lettuce wrap them and I was all in. I'm glad I chose that option. It was delicious and filling and I didn't get sleepy driving back to Dallas. My coworker had a Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. I tried one of his fries. They were really good. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside, just like I prefer them. He said that his food was also good. It's safe to say that Neri's is solid and consistent with their food. The wait staff are always super friendly and helpful. They also have very clean restrooms. If you live nearby or just passing through, Neri's is a great food option. Don't pass it by.

This is a casual family restaurant located across the street from Graham's town square. It has a full service bar, and the food is very good. It is not like typical fast food.

Mojito - A clear glass contains a mojito cocktail with lime wedges, fresh mint leaves, ice cubes, and bubbles, placed on a textured wooden table. A black straw is in the drink, and part of a person's arm and black shirt are visible in the background, indicating a casual dining setting.

My wife and I had toyed with trying Neri's a couple of times and just not gotten around to it. Glad we made it in this time around. They had a great happy hour on cocktails and some delicious appetizers. I particularly liked the chicken and cheese bites. They were excellent and I'd go back again just for these. We had steaks for dinner. They were very good. Not a lot to say regarding them really but I would have had less of the garlic butter. My wife quite enjoyed it though. Small matter and totally a preference. Dessert was ver good too. I had bread pudding, my wife had the lava cake, although really she just ate my bread pudding and took the lava cake home. Nothing wrong with the lava cake but the break pudding was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. I am not sure how I feel about the pedestal tables, just because they were a little tippy when you leaned on them. Server was excellent, wait time was perfect and nice gaps between course so we didn't feel rushed and the bill was very fair. I look forward to eating here again.

Receipt without the tip and my card number it was $68 with tip. - A restaurant receipt from Neri's On the Square in Graham, TX, displays ordered items including spinach artichoke dip, grilled shrimp dinner, chicken chipotle wrap, Coke Zero, and Dr Pepper, with prices and totals. The receipt includes the date, time, server's name, and payment details, indicating a total payment of $57.98.

The spinach dip was great! A couple things to keep in mind is if you're not paying cash , I believe it's a $2 fee for card. A side salad is not a side salad. It's arugula, spinach , blue cheese , dried fruits and nuts. I'm not allowed sugar so it was a waste of money. I had the grilled shrimp. It was good. I did not want the broccoli but they charge a up-charge if you change to green beans. So I ate a couple pieces of broccoli. Plates are $15 plus so to up-charge for a side that cost the same is not right. I think mine was $18 or $20. It was 8 pieces of grilled shrimp , the broccoli and the salad I threw away. I think if your side salad is not a traditional side salad the waitress should say something especially if you order ranch for it. I said yuck when it came out ( blue cheese yuck) she looked at me and walked off. The dip , shrimp plate and a wrap with sweet potatoes plus 2 drinks and tip was around $68.00. Slow service , no refill , 10 minutes to get a check to pay. Place was not busy at all.

I'm always expected to be let down because it is soooo good every time coke here. Everything is still great. Talked my friend into meeting here and he was blown away with how great it was. I forgot to take a picture this time. My friend is not a leftover person, but he took his leftover steak fingers with him and also ordered slice of buttermilk pie to go. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I forgot her name, believe short young lady with black hair. Forgive me for not remembering her name, but she was wonderful and very helpful for any questions my friend had. Did notice someone ordered I believe cheese curds and did not know they had these. I will try to remember this next time I'm here. I will always update this place every-time I come here. Thanks for the greasy food.

And I usually stop at the place across the highway. Today I decided to check out New York Hill and I was glad I did. The ambience is like being in a house that had its living room converted to a dining room- which it may very well have been. I'm not sure. Regardless, there are booths and tables, and a nice view to the north. All good. I was greeted by a nice young lady who took my drink order (coffee) and brought a menu. I liked they served the coffee in a thermal mug as it stayed hot! The menu was extensive, plate lunches, burgers, sandwiches, salads... a bit of everything. The dishes were typical of what we call "home cooking" around these parts. I ordered the Texas Sizzler- a chop steak with onions and jalapeños, smothered in melted cheese. It was quite delicious, and since we just had our first cold snap for the fall, it really hit the spot as a dish that will warm you up. The salad that came with the meal was very good, and had a nice chunky blue cheese dressing. Crinkle cut sweet potato's fries were good, as was the pinto beans. There are lots of other sides to choose from. Overall, everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and they. Checked on me often. Bottom line is I will be back to try some of their other offerings.

The place is located in an old Fire Department building, cavernous and loud due to the high ceiling and stone walls. No one in the dining area so the noise was coming from the bar area. A few specials on the board, mainly seafood, not unusual in this part of North Texas on a Friday due to the numerous catfish specials. It appeared clean but a deeper look showed baseboards dirty, the tables in the bar are made of roughhewn wood which means they cannot be cleaned very well as the food gets trapped in the crevices of the wood. Bathrooms were clean but there was no water, seems it froze during the night. I was surprised they were open without running water but found out later it was just the bathrooms, there were sinks working in the bar. The food was okay; I had the Chicken Fried Steak and my Wife had the Classic Cheeseburger. The CFS was okay with it's thin breading that was slightly crispy. The steak has some flavor which I liked. I chose the fries over mash potatoes, and they were very good. It also came with thin green beans which tasted okay but appeared to be microwaved. The burger was made from short rib grind which leave sit with a very unusual texture. It was very firm, little fat, and extremely salty. Flavor wise under the salt taste was good, just off-putting texture for a burger. My Wife could not finish due to level of salt. Service was good, kitchen was slow with only three tables and we were the only one eating anything more than apps. Minus one star for the cleanliness and lack of water to wash your hands, and minus one for excess salt and poor texture of the burger. We will skip this place next time.
