This used be my favorite place to go but to witness the audacity that took place here was completely unacceptable or uncalled for. I really do hope that discrimination charges are pressed for what took place. Buyer beware, they claim to be a good Christian place but judged people for their past - I don't care what religion you are or aren't or what you did in the past but it's how you treat people now that matter. Not acceptable, so you couldn't pay me to eat here any more which is sad. Go on your own judgement if you so choose. read more

Found out Marlene's is now open for breakfast on Saturdays, so I decided to try it again. I had the 3 pancake with a side of sausage while my wife had a 3 egg omelet. The pancakes were a little light (undercooked) for my liking, but otherwise ok. My wife enjoyed her omelet, but felt it was kind of cold when delivered to her. The service was excellent and the restaurant was not busy at all for a Saturday morning. I might try it again and update my review if warranted. read more

Reminded me of the old soda fountain shop/cafés of my youth- Down home cooking and a friendly smile. I had the special of the day- hamburger patty with gravy, grilled onions, mashed potatoes and the best squash casserole I ever ate. Even included a slice of homemade bread. We finished off our meal with a slice of homemade Buttermilk Pie, it was yummy!! Loved the sweet tea. Lots of gray haired customers here-They know how to find a good meal and a good deal. read more

I was in the area for work around noon and found this Wonderful place for lunch in the neat downtown of Graham. The service was great. I had the Hamburger Steak with mashed potatoes and corn. It was delicious. My co-worker has the Ruben and said he would recommend it to all! If you are hungry, give this place shot. read more

My wife and I decided to go into Graham for breakfast from our lake place. This is like stepping back into the 1950's. I am guessing this was an old soda fountain place. Small town pricing, really friendly service and a great breakfast with a menu of all the traditional breakfast favorites. Very cool antiques still in place, an old coke dispenser and the counter top/stools were my favorites. read more

TL;DR: if you're looking for that smalltown-diner atmosphere, then Marlene's is the place for you! I've aten at Marlene's on numerous occasions, and I can tell you that neither myself nor the people with me have ever had a bad experience (knock on wood). The food, the aesthetic, and the atmosphere all scream smalltown charm. A minor nitpick is the lack of significant diversity on the menu, however I don't think that takes away from the restaurant in the slightest. The items that are on the menu are delicious and look like they are on there for a reason (I always get the #6). I would wholeheartedly recommend Marlene's to anybody that's coming to Graham. read more

There was a hair in our sausage. The waitress touched our pancakes in front of us. Some eggs weren't cooked all the ways and some cooked too long. The hot sauce did smack though. read more

Not to crazy about the lunch specials here but the salads and sandwiches are fantastic!!! They have really wonderful soups, and different kinds everday. If they still have it my fave is the chicken enchilada soup, so good! read more
