Dreamwraver 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 the slayer
    Cynthia G.

My first time here and I had already chosen the sandwich I wanted to try! Which was the local chicken fried steak one! Called the local! Well they were out of it so I had to choose another one! I settled on the dream weaver which was chicken, ham, bacon, avocado, pepper Jack cheese brown mustard with lettuce tomato and onions. With a jalapeño ranch dressing. I asked for the dressing to be on the side as I wasn't sure how it was going to taste and asked them to put mayo on my sandwich. As I do not like brown mustard at all! Well my sandwich came and there was no mayo on the sandwich he wanted to take my plate back to the kitchen but I said no just please bring me some mayo. Then I looked closer at my sandwich and there was no bacon? I informed him when he got back to the table and he left and came back and said the bacon was under the cheese? So I lifted my bun and kinda moved the cheese and showed him there really was no bacon on the sandwich at all! He was like they are bacon pieces which clearly were not present? He they came back with a portion cup with some bacon pieces in it. Let me get to the avocado it was a very thin smear of something green on the top of the bread so thin you could see through it to the bread! No taste of avocado anywhere In The sandwich ! The sandwich was poorly put together as the cheese was only on one half of the sandwich and the chicken was small diced up pieces that kept falling out of the sandwich! One tiny slice of tomato for each side a few pieces of diced red onion hardly any and very little lettuce just a few chopped up pieces down the middle of the bun! Finally you get to the ready big piece of ham which totally overpowered the whole sandwich! I had a bite of my sister's sandwich the slayer and it was really good! As the Texas cheesesteak was as well Loved the Korean loaded fries! We gobbled those up as well! It wasn't that I ordered a complex sandwich that it would have been hard to get the order right! Just no mustard add Mayo and the jalapeño ranch on the side! I was so disappointed in what I received and the hassle of trying to get it fixed I did not enjoy my food! My family has been there many times and have always loved what they had gotten from there! Over all the service was good and the overall visit was good! I would of liked to at least be able to taste the avocado and have cheese on both sides of my sandwich and maybe enough veggies to enjoy with every bite I guess it was too much to wish for! Especially at the cost of that sandwich you can zoom on the picture of the 1/2 I didn't eat! No cheese, no bacon, one tomato and a piece of lettuce and the smear of avocado and you cannot see any of the chicken but it's there! My sandwich is why I gave them the 4 stars instead of 5 I'm glad they were busy and all of the tables filled up pretty quickly and maybe since I had my heart set on a different sandwich this one could of been really good if it was made correctly and I was not questioned that I missed the bacon somehow And then I had to wait to eat until it was settled while my family was eating! It could of been handled better and I'm sorry would of helped too! I will give them another try to see if it was just a off day for them? It happens sometimes! They fries were awesome and the wings they were bringing out looked and smelled awesome so every one says they haothe best wings in town and after having a few walk by our table I can tell you my mouth was watering but we already was full so next time Give them a shot

Amazing little spot I'm glad I stumbled upon! I love a great sandwich and this place delivered! Everyone looked like they were happy to be at work and the food was delicious! It took me a bit of time to decide what I wanted because the entire menu sounded tempting! Do yourself a favor and leave the chips! Get the Mac n Cheese! You're welcome!

I love a good sub sandwich. So I have literally been hunting for a perfect place. I found this mom and pop style restaurant and I have to say I was blown away. The jalapeño cheese sticks are mouth watering. We sampled the wings which were good and they offered a lot of different flavors. The sandwich I got was the perfect mix of meats, cheeses, and toasted bread. I got a drink from the bar it was a dream come true. Which could be dangerous! It tasted like a dreamcile and was in the prettiest glass. I will be returning asap!

Walking in, you immediately see the cohesive decor! The music driven atmosphere continues to the menu where the subs and drinks are creatively named after some of the best musicians and songs! But it's not just a gimmick... the food is absolutely delicious! The bread, meats, cheeses & veggies are all high quality. The sides are consistent and yummy, and the wings are huge! There's also a great variety of sauces and dry rubs to choose from. The best part - the service is phenomenal! I've been in multiple times and been served by several different staff members. KP and Allison are both great!

Nice lunch. Today…read morewas our first time at their new location. I really like the space. SO much bigger than their previous space. Four of us arrived at opening time (11 am) on a Wednesday. Our server, Kalee stopped by right away to greet us and take our drink orders. We spent some time catching up with our friends and Kalee gave us all the time we needed. We ordered the Tuscany Road Trip appetizer. It had a nice presentation and was real tasty. We all ordered our entrees and my wife and I had the following: Starters: - Caesar Salad - Texana Soup Entrees: - Beef Ravioli - Spaghetti Ragu with side of meatballs What did we think of the food? The presentations were top notch. The serving sizes were good. The Texana soup was nice but I'd like to see it have a bit more of a savory flavor. Maybe a bit of salted butter? For me personally, I'd add a bit of red pepper flake. The Caesar Salad was really nice. My wife said her Beef Ravioli was nice but she didn't expect it in a brown sauce. She said she likely missed that when reading the menu. The Spaghetti was okay. Nothing special in terms of the sauce flavor. I took half of it home. To take it up a level, I sautéed fresh chopped garlic in some olive oil with a bit of red pepper flake, the added the pasta and meatballs and simmer with the lid on. Turned out really nice. We shared a slice of Lemoncello cake for dessert. It was moist and real tasty. I want to call out the service here. It was excellent. Kalee was helpful with the menu, with our orders, with checking in on us. Overall great service. Though we thought our entrees were decent but could be improved, we liked the new space and service a lot, so we'll try other entrees at Zeno's down the line.

We don't think of it as often as we should because it is a bit of a drive outside Granbury, but this dinner reminded us that it is well worth the trip. We started by sharing the bacon and poblano jumbo lump crab cake. It was beautifully prepared, flavorful and an excellent beginning to the meal. I ordered the 6-ounce beef tenderloin prepared medium, with asparagus and half of a twice-loaded baked potato. The tenderloin was wonderful--extremely tender, remarkably flavorful and cooked exactly as requested. Wife ordered the Red Snapper A La Plancha. It was seared and served over wild rice and sautéed asparagus, then topped with roasted-corn salad and lemon beurre blanc. I don't typically consider myself a fan of red snapper, but after trying a bite of hers, I had to admit it was delicious. We finished with a bite or two each from the chocolate ganache plate, which was the perfect ending without being too much. What made the evening especially memorable was our server, Cynthia. To our surprise, we recognized her from La Crêperie in Granbury, where she previously cooked and presented special dinners. Cynthia is French, extremely knowledgeable about food and genuinely enjoyable to visit with. Her warmth, personality and attentive service elevated an already excellent meal. If you visit Rio Brazos, I strongly encourage you to ask for Cynthia. Great service can transform a good dinner into a memorable evening, and that is exactly what she did for us. Rio Brazos offers upscale food in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, with thoughtful presentation, quality ingredients and outstanding service. It may be a little outside town, but it is absolutely worth the drive. Rio Brazos Grill--and Cynthia--earned every one of these five stars.

The rumors are true Rio Brazos Grill is fantastic. Not "good for a small town," not "surprisingly…read moredecent" just flat-out good. The kind of place where it's immediately obvious someone in the kitchen actually knows what they're doing, which already puts it ahead of most restaurants pretending to. The meal starts strong with flash-fried calamari Fresno chilies, sweet chili sauce, balanced heat, and a clean execution. It comes as strips, which feels a little safe. Rings or whole baby squid would've shown more technical confidence, but fine the flavor still delivers, and at the end of the day, that's what people actually remember. The Calabria chili shrimp follows with the same sense of control: spicy, but not trying to prove a point. Paired with grilled baguette, it does exactly what it's supposed to do support the dish instead of getting in the way. And then there's the Chicken Fried Ribeye, which sounds like a bad decision until you eat it. Crispy on the outside, rich and tender underneath, covered in black pepper gravy with buttermilk mashed potatoes, a potato nest, and because apparently restraint is optional--two fried quail eggs. It's excessive, but not stupid. That's a very fine line, and they walk it well. Chef Clint Connaway clearly has classical training--nobody just stumbles into a proper beurre blanc. The menu pulls from Southwestern, Native American, Mexican and French influences, which should feel chaotic but somehow doesn't. It works because the execution is consistent, even when the ideas get a little ambitious. That said, the place isn't perfect. The quail eggs show up so often they start to feel less like a signature and more like a habit. And for all the technical skill, there's a noticeable lack of local identity. With Bosque Ranch right down the road, it's hard not to wonder why more local beef isn't front and center. A stronger focus on seasonal or locally sourced ingredients would push this from great to something more grounded--something that actually tastes like where you are. And then there's the obvious question: why no brunch? A kitchen like this could absolutely dominate a brunch service. Instead, it's just... not happening, which feels like wasted potential. Still, none of that changes the core truth. The food is thoughtful, the technique is real, and most importantly you leave feeling satisfied instead of questioning your life choices. That alone is worth something.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the owner, who seated us, walked us through the menu, highlighted the specials, and even gave a few personal recommendations. The space is small but beautifully decorated, spotless, and full of charm. You can instantly feel the love and culture that the sweet Italian couple who owns it pours into the place. The food took a little longer than I would normally expect at a smaller restaurant, but it didn't bother us at all--especially when they brought out the most AMAZING focaccia bread I've ever tasted in my life. Honestly, I would have waited hours if it meant getting to have that again! We loved the appetizer pizza, which was incredible, and the penne Alfredo was good--though I was expecting a little more from a true Italian spot. The sauce was clearly made from scratch and absolutely delicious, but I think if it were paired with homemade pasta it would have been a home run. Still, the pizza completely won us over, and it's definitely something we'll be coming back for. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and will absolutely be back to try more of their menu!

My family and I have been eating at the butcher shop for a little over a year, pretty much weekly. It's our go to spot. We take our friends and family here anytime we want to treat them to a tasty meal! I have tried most of the items on the menu and truly have never been disappointed. For the longest time, the burger was my go to choice and the patty melt was my husband's go to. Both delicious! But our absolute favorite meal here lately is the brisket sandwich, a Thursday special, and I hate to even share this because I don't want them to sell out of it before we make it there on Thursday nights. It is SO tasty. The brisket is nice and juicy, and the sourdough bun makes for the perfect combination. You can't go wrong with the side you choose - French fries delicious, onion rings delicious, chips - you guessed it, also delicious. Kids meals - the grilled cheese is good, the chicken tenders are top notch. My husband and I often steal a bite of our kids' chicken fingers and every single time we say, "man these are good". Other meals I have tried that are delicious- chicken salad sandwich, hot ham and cheese, beef stew (so good!!!). Appetizers - Texas toothpicks are a must! And if talking about how good their food is wasn't enough to make you plan your next meal here... the staff are so incredibly kind. We love them! My husband and I truly love this restaurant and love everything we've tried. Try it out, but don't eat all the brisket!!
