Augie's is a chill restaurant and bar located in Azle, TX on Lake Worth and Eagles Landing. The ducks are entertaining and the view of the lake is beautiful. The food is delicious with crispy onion rings and the burgers are juicy and flavorful. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would love toto visit this place at night since they have a stage and social vibe decorations. Will be back soon, but not to work! read more

I'm always more than happy with their food and their service. The food is always super yummy and comes out quick and the service is almost always top tier.... Except this last time. I came I sat out with my boyfriend in the back towards sunset and the waitress came out huffing and puffing like we weren't supposed to sit back there when there was already another couple out there. She was really rude when I asked for them not to make my drink alcoholic when last time one of the staff brought me an alcoholic Shirley temple (I knew by the glass it was in and not a styrofoam cup as per usual). Maybe she was just having a rough night but I didn't appreciate it especially if I was the one paying and tipping her at the end of the night. Not my man. Food came out and she came to set the outside stuff next to us. She came and asked how our food was twice and just seemed super fake the entire time. I tipped her what I thought she deserved and we left. Auggie's do better. I love this place and would love a bit more friendly service pretty please :) I don't want to feel like a burden when I just want to enjoy a sunset dinner on the lake with my man. read more

A fun, casual, relaxed bar with beautiful lakefront views! The prices are very reasonable, the pours are generous, the food is tasty (I'm partial to the cheeseburger, chili burger, onion rings, and the chicken salad sandwich in the summer), and the service is always outstanding when you sit with Chelsea at the bar on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and every other Sunday before 5pm. Love the daily lunch specials, too, and Bingo Wednesdays are very popular, starting around 7pm. read more

*NEW UPDATED MENU PICS* Great little dive bar tucked in the corner of Eagle Mountain Lake. The servers are always friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable. Food is decent, good variety of drinks. Not sure how much lake traffic there is in the summer, but a floating dock for boats and pwc's to easily pull up to would be a huge improvement. I come out on the lake sometimes in my friends boat and we would definitely stop by for some food and drinks if they had a lakeside "takeout" window. Overall, pretty decent place but looks a little rough. Tables could use a light sanding and fresh coat of paint, but that's just me being picky. Come for the food, stay for the drinks and views. You won't be disappointed. read more

Food was tasty but my order and friends order was wrong. She returned hers for a redo and I took my sandwich out of the box they serve in and got fries instead of the onion rings I didn't order. While the wait staff and food was excellent the "manager" Ryan was very rude and condescending. He denied us service initially because of my service dog. ( small Shih Tzu) even when we attempted to point out the sign that they have posted concerning pets/service dogs. He was very confrontational and seemed the need to assert his authority. I have been in the restaurant several times a month over the past few years and this is the first time I encountered this type of behaviour. I will be looking for a new place to go on the lake that is more accommodating and professional. One Star for manager.... read more

We have lived in Azle since 2015. The first time I came here, I told my wife, "This is Heaven." Fast forward 10 years. The last three times we went to Angie's we left without ordering. I'm not sure if it is the servers, the owners, or the business. Literally no one came to our table and we left each time. The place is super cool. Old school, reminds me of my favorite places. Today we were seated, sat for 37 minutes. Nothing. I knew the service was slow, but this is off the charts bad. I've been in the foodservice business a long time and Augie's is the worst of the worst. Great place, food as I remember it is amazing, but the service is the worst in the world. We will never go back and that really makes me sad. read more

Augie's do better. This gathering hole is where the followers of the "Salt Life" and fans of Insane Clown Posse converge. Yes it's been around for quite some time and at one point was at the top of the game in their heyday but unfortunately has fallen short. Including the service. It's quite startling when your sever becomes openly frustrated when taking orders and finding out it's going to be separate tickets. Mind you this was only two orders in when we notified them. Not only that our server managed to start tsking when we asked for refills on our soft drinks which only took 4-7minutes to get our drinks back. Never not once were we asked if all was well and if we needed anything (i.e. drink refills or anything else) it wasn't even busy. Will I come back? Absolutely not. read more

Great vibes, great service, great view, worst food I've ever had. Been coming here for 20 years. Always a cool spot. The Cook, cause whomever it is certainly isn't a chef, sent out the worst grilled chicken sandwich imaginable. Uneatable! Catfish is flavorless. I will always come to Auggie's for the atmosphere and drinks but I will never eat here again. For $90 3 meals 1 and a half were eatable. I hate to leave this review cause I love the spot, but I won't recommend nobody eat the food till they get a cook that knows what they're doing. Staff is great vibe is great, come for those things. We love Augies. And it is an experience. It's a small, local, hole-in-the-wall type bar with reallllly good burgers. There's a nice outdoor area to eat if you're up for it, or the more intimidate indoor area. The service has always been fast when I've been there however there are signs warning that it may take a long time to seat people During peak hours. read more

This is a great place to watch the sunset after a fun time out on the lake. Place may need some updating, but food is packaged fresh in cute boxes. I saw a family park their boat, and head in to eat. Or you could come in and take it to-go. We ate outside and ordered the Augie burger and the sloppy Joe. They let me have a side salad instead of fries. Salad was fresh and burger was delicious! Husband didn't care for his sloppy Joe too much. But the service was attentive and friendly. read more

Fun restaurant to go to with family. They have live music on stage at times. For is good for bar food. The service can be good at times depending on how busy. I would recommend sitting outside as the inside has biker bar feelings and smells of cigarettes and alcohol. read more

We stopped in being enticed by a venue by the lake. They clearly have signs posted of the wait, thirty minutes when busy. So we waited 30 minutes for our 2 ice teas and bar nachos. Great views Atmosphere by the lake relaxing If you're in a hurry don't stop. Bar food with a view if your patient it does arrive. Auggies nachos were tasty with chicken, nacho sauce, onions, and chips. Sour cream and salsa on the side. It was a large enough portion we were easily able to split. read more

Angie's is great! One of our favorite places on the lake to go to. They always have awesome bands playing & the service is awesome. There was never a time that I had to search for anyone. Went to check this place out after hearing great things. It was July 4th so we expected it to be busy, called and they said there was a one hour wait on food. We weren't hungry yet so we figured we would check it out. We were charged $5 each and given wrist bands to sit out on patio because there was a live band...although most people didn't have wrist bands, so maybe we looked like suckers ‍. There were no empty tables but a couple offered to share their table. After waiting about 30 minutes, the waitress finally checked on the couple next to us. When they heard about the hour wait they asked for their tab. They mentioned to the waitress that we hadn't been helped yet, who replied, "they aren't a priority right now". She looked new and swamped so whatever...we were trying to be patient and enjoy the atmosphere. My husband had gone to the bar to get us drinks, which were good by the way. About 30 more minutes later I catch the attention of a passing waitress. She tells us she will find out waitress (who was sitting at a table) and send her our way. When our waitress finally comes to us, after the crowd has died down A LOT...we are told the wait for food was still 1 hour. 1 hour and 15 was the time it took for someone to ask us our order. To wait an additional hour when the place was half empty was pretty ridiculous. We left and went someplace else, where we were waited on and served right away. read more

I haven't been to Augie's before but I was looking forward to spending some time on the lake. We started off inside but before we took a seat we decided it was nice enough to sit outside. I ordered the Nachos and Cheyenne ordered the Bottlecap's (fried Jalapeño slices). The dipping sauce for the Bottlecap's really rang the bell for taste. There is no doubt that every time I eat here from now on I will order the Bottlecap's to snack on before dinner or lunch. BTW, the Nacho's were good also, but I would have liked the contents spread around a bit more. It seemed the meat was lumped mostly in the middle. Anyway, we also had 3 oz. of hard liquor and 5 beers between us. I was a bit surprised at our bill when it arrived, $68 and change, a bit high for a couple of appetizers and a few drinks. We left a tip also so it ended up costing us over $75 for not much. The liquor was $24 all by itself. I will be back as the service was very good, but I won't be ordering things that seem a bit over the top IMHO and the reason for only 4 stars. I do recommend this place but be careful about your drinks, or bring your big wallet... LOL. read more

I arrived to Auggies with much anticipation. My friend kept talking about it, so, lucky me I got to check out the scene. The sunset wasnt the best but, it was still really beautiful! There were lots of places to sit but, the birds wanted u to feed them, awkward! Waitress took awhile before she brought the menus but, she was really nice. Prices are high for the portions and the restaurant is flanked by trailers. Its a very peaceful and quite atmosphere. Check it out for yourself some time. read more

This place is a genuine hole in the wall, a place of beauty and soul. It's weathered, dirty, disheveled, and unkempt; just like me. The patio is the way to go. The cramped dining room off the bar looks like the set of a community theater's production of Popeye. The staff are in no great hurry to offer service; but, it's a lakeside-patio-bar for God's sake. If you're in a hurry, go to McDonald's on the interstate, but you might have trouble docking your boat. read more

After a little searching we found this place located right on the water next to a boat launch. There is what looks like an area for guest docking and a few people were enjoying a beer and the sun on tubes floating around the little area in front of the large outside covered patio. Now to the food, I had a burger with grilled jalapenos and onions & a little tabasco, was not at all fire hot but did have a nice "warm" taste. The burger was one of the best I have had in a long time. My wife had the healthy grilled chicken salad, had what looked like half the darn bird over romaine lettuce, olives, tomato, onions and a lot of grated cheese, the cheese stayed after the chicken and everything else was gone. For a biker friendly, on the water, good people hang out this is a must visit. read more

I've ate at Augie's many times throughout my life, and experienced consistently good food. This is most certainly a Dive Bar, full of colorful locals and people out enjoying the lake. The restaurant doubles as a Marina and fishing dock, and they stay rather busy on the weekends. Augie's menu is pretty straight forward, their main attraction being their burgers. The burgers are thick and juicy, served over a bed of lightly seasoned fries. I've never had a bad burger at Augie's in the 25 or so years I've came here with family and friends. The burgers aren't the best you'll find in the metroplex, but they are more than appeasing when it comes to flavor and value.  I highly recommend grabbing a table on their covered patio near the docks. On a busy day, the patio usually has a dedicated waiter or waitress, and I've very rarely had to wait for service. Ducks will often times swim right up along side your table, often hoping for a stray fry or chip. I recommend Augie's Sunset Cafe for anyone looking for a quick, well priced bite paired with a couple ice cold beers. read more

I love this restaurant! I love the environment! However I don't love their menu. They have the word "Mexican" in the color brown and underneath is Frito pie and chili. Which are not considered Mexican food. Other foods in this menu are not labeled American, Asian, Italian, etc. But Frito pie and chili are listed as "Mexican"? I am not even going to speak on the choice of color for the word Mexican... Please have a professional proof-read these menus. read more
