I was in the neighborhood for work and it was about lunch time and I saw this place.Its your basic burger place with a few different options on it.Like a Philly cheesesteak and I believe I saw a catfish basket on there too.Regardless i chose the double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a drink.Overall i would say it was pretty solid.The burger was nice and hot and the bun was toasted.And the onion rings were pretty good even though they were frozen.The only complaint I have is it was a little pricey and they were a little skimpy on the bacon.Other then that it was pretty tasty.So if you're in the neighborhood give this place a shot. read more

The fries were very good I haven't had fries like these, and hush puppies were a nice touch. The young Latina at the front was very sweet, professional and attentive. Good burgers, fries, and onion rings here. This is a cute, diner-style place with lots of parking. I posted the paper menu, but there is also a snowcone menu on a wall inside - I will wait until the temps start hitting in the 100's for that :-D The ground beef used is good quality. My fries were OK, but the onion rings were fantastic. I experienced friendly service here and won't hestiate to try them again. The menus on the walls inside are pretty extensive. This was my first time here, so I just got a regular burger with all the toppings. There aren't a lot of tables inside, but I noticed a lot of folks coming in and out for to-go orders. While out thrifting and antiquing, we ran across this little roadside burger joint. Pop pop burgers is a little building off the side of the road with plenty of parking. Walking into a diner style restaurant and up to the boat-converted-to-counter to order off a well displayed menu with lots of choices. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The restaurant was clean and tables were wiped down immediately as people left. Food came out very quickly and everything was absolutely delicious! Those tots were so hot, crispy and perfect! Stopped in around lunchtime to see what all the buzz is about! Pop pop's is a burger and sandwich place just east of Midway road outside of Azle. There is plenty of parking here and if you decide you don't want a sandwich, you can get some Tex-Mex food from the little Taqueria right next-door. But wait there's more! There's a dessert bus, too. There are probably eight or so tables inside the little building. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with onion rings. I thought it tasted pretty good, but I think there might've been a little bit too much mayonnaise on the sandwich. All in all, this is a pretty good place to eat! read more

Driving through town on the way home from a hiking weekend. This is a clean, small town diner with a very nice and helpful lady taking orders. Nice selection of burgers and they were decent. This little place is a great addition to HWY 199. The burgers are great! The have added A/C and windows! Should be perfect now in the summer heat! Stopped in on 2-19. Hubby had the wild burger and ate the whole thing. He normally doesn't eat much. He said it was one of the best he's had. I had the Philly cheese steak it was more than I could eat. Came with mushrooms, green peppers, onions and cheese. Very filling and tasty. We were also given a sample of the catfish they just put on the menu. Needless to say we have found our new catfish restaurant! My hubby and I decided to try this cute little food court. The Pop Pop burgers are made with quality meat and the service was exceptional. After we had our lunch, we went next door to the Desert bus, yes I said bus. It was so cute inside and out. We stepped into the bus and ordered watermelon and mango sorbet...it was the bomb. The owners were friendly and let us taste the ice creams before we ordered. I also ordered the mexican corn snack that is like the mexican corn on the cob but cut off the cob and put in a bowl. I took it home. It is awesome. I highly recommend this little food court. You will not be disappointed. They also have a breakfast truck from 5am to 2pm. Not sure of the days that they are open but you will have to give it a try. We went on a Wednesday about 2pm. read more

I didn't dine in but the to-go experience was pretty simple and the personnel answering phone was polite. The burgers were absolutely delicious. We got the Pop Pop Burger and the Chipotle Burger and both were amazing. It did take my husband a guessing game and another reading of the menu to see which burger was which cause the containers were not labeled but it's cool, we shared the burgers in half just to try each other's. Like I said, the burgers were amazing. Can't wait to go back! Sorry for the photos, I promise you they have a better presentation (we were just too hungry to wait for a good photo) read more

I'm glad I found this little gem right by my new (to me) house. I gave it a try and got the habanero burger. Everything was good about it. The burger was fresh and made from quality ingredients. I don't know what I was expecting for the peppers, but there were at least 2 or 3 full habaneros chopped up on top of the patty. That was a little much for me. I took about half off and it was much better. I was not disappointed with the food. I think I'll try the blue cheese burger next. I wish they had onion rings as a side option though. read more
