I stumbled upon this amazing cafe tucked inside of a gas station. I've been working in the area for 3 weeks and I think I've ordered a cheeseburger at least 3 times a week. The owners are super friendly. The employees always look happy to be at work. I came in one day right as they were closing and cleaning and the chef offered to cook me a burger anyway. I told him it was okay but he insisted. Literally made my day. For the quality of the food you'd expect a higher price point! I'm a new loyal customer! read more

The breakfast burritos and hot sauce are homemade. Seating is in a convenience store so it's pretty basic. Good place for lunch.

Stopped in and got a burger no problem. Decided to add an order of tater tots ($1.49) and onion rings ($1.99). Our receipt said 2 orders of onion rings and had a total price of $5.98. When we asked about it and the obvious overcharge, she only mentioned that she'd make the right order and gave us attitude. We said something at the register too and were told "that's just how they bill it". If that's "how they bill it" then the prices should be fixed on the sign. When you walk into a gas station and can tell they slinging some good chow it's always a good thing. I decided to get gas and a bite at the Bearcat Cafe and they have Rubens. On marbled bread with all the stuff you expect on a Ruben. They did not grill it however which is a must for that sandwich so while tasty was a soggy mess. These folks are the nicest people and showed me their breakfast menu which is on my list. Don't let the gas station front fool you its a legit cafe inside. Eat it. read more

Ordered 2 sandwiches take out. Everything about the order was wrong: First sandwich, ordered regular bread and got wheat, ordered provolone received no cheese. Second sandwich, ordered wheat and got Texas toast. One of the slices of toast was the butt of the loaf. read more

The burger is a plain frozen patty and that's ok. The fries are plain frozen fries and that's ok. They cost $11 along with a drink and that is NOT ok, in fact its ridiculous. I understand the gas station and grill are different business but if one is crap I ain't going back to either. I thought it was rang up wrong because you can get this plain simple burger basket just about anywhere for half that. Again it was ok just what I'd expect from a gas station burger but those are restaurant prices. Hard pass for me from now on but the good news is I drive by all the time and always wondered how it was and now I know, I don't have to wonder anymore. read more

I'm quickly discovering that some of the best food in town can be found at gas stations. Bearcat Cafe has really good food for a really good price. I had three (really sizable) breakfast tacos and a 12oz (unlimited refills) coffee for $7. The tacos looked like nothing special, with the cheese being sliced rather than shredded. But, boy oh boy, they tasted really good. Had a little spice and a lot of flavor. The coffee is serviceable, but if you're looking for high-quality dark roast, you will be disappointed. There is not traditional wait service, although the staff brings your food to you. They also came around to offer refills of coffee. Largest tables are four-tops. It is in a gas station, so the place isn't going to win awards for ambiance. But, it is a fun, cozy gathering place, which clearly has regulars in it every day. Good place to grab breakfast or lunch. In the morning they have tacos on hand for quick in and out. They will also prepare what you want and have a good size menu. Breakfast tacos are my favorite and their salsa is very good. They have drive thru if you're in a hurry. read more

I'd rate 0 stars if it was an option. I went in today at 11:01am to order some breakfast burritos. I waited for the guest in front of me to leave and then got to the counter by 11:02am. I politely asked if they were still serving breakfast. The clerk (Alma) replied "nope" with zero explanation. I said "when do you stop serving breakfast?" She replied "11:00am." She wasn't apologetic or at all empathetic. I left the store angry and hungry. I don't visit this area often, but I like the breakfast burritos when I have time. I left angry and called the store to speak to the manager. The same girl answered with the same smug entitled attitude. She says "the manager isn't here." Again, no explanation for where the manager is or when they could be expected. Then without mentioning she hands the fun to the clerk (John). John tells me "you'll have to call Dan after 1pm" and then hung up. I didn't even have a chance to talk to him. I called back and Alma handed the phone to another rude young lady (shyanne) who claimed to be the general manager. Either the manager was there the whole time, and they lied or she was lying about being manager. She then started laughing at me when I mentioned my frustrations. I asked her if my dissatisfaction was humorous and she said "sorry". Meanwhile, a sign on the door says help wanted. This is the most dissatisfactiry and unprofessional group of morons I've ever seen running a business. I will not ever return and suggest anyone reading this to expect nothing but rude and bratty service. I was so mad I downloaded the yelp app just to write this. Of all the bad service I've ever had, nothing has prompted me to be so frustrated as I am now. Update: I finally got a hold of the owner(Dan) and he was very nice and apologetic. Just like I would be if my business was treating patrons this way. The girl Shayanne that represented herself as the general manager, is simply a clerk and lied to me so I'd think things were being handled. In conclusion, I'm not upset about the food. After all, I was technically 120 seconds late for breakfast, and everyone knows that's a long time. IM UPSET WITH THE WAY I WAS TREATED. This place is a hidden gem they have great food at incredible prices. Never thought I would like food in a gas station taste like dinner food. Not many choices in aledo this one is worth a stop. read more

I probably visit the Aledo location 1-2 times a month through the drive through. Never had a problem until today. I pulled in with one other truck in front of me. Noticed the wait time was way longer than usual. the driver seemed annoyed. Finally I pull up to the window. Was greeted by a familiar older heavy set man. He rudely asked what I wanted. I asked for something from the cooler section. He rudely said he was too busy to walk back there and I'd have to come in and get it myself. So I am in a 4x4 full size truck and can see in the store. No one was waiting at the register. After I pointed that out to him (not rudely) , he began cussing and yelling at me. Using the F bomb a couple of times. i was shocked... but asked him if he was ok and did he need help...as he seemed to be having a complete melt down. He kept yelling stating he had things to get done and kept cussing. He slammed the window shut on me! I considered calling the police.. but decided to drive away instead. This man really should be fired....Everyone can have a bad day, but this felt dangerous. On top of all that... it was my birthday that day "June 6th!" Lol! read more

Rode out from Fort Worth based on reviews. Made-to-order bacon cheeseburger had a generous patty and cheese, and thick crispy bacon. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mustard, and a really good bun. Much better than the burgers you get at chains. Fries were average. Service was friendly. Order and pay at the counter. This has been my favorite place to eat since my family moved to Aledo in 1998. Chicken Strips and the Burgers are amazing but the real winner is breakfast. Burritos are great if you're in a hurry but if you have time get the Breakfast Tacos. Homemade salsa is incredible. read more

Great breakfast tacos and burritos. Probably one of the best burgers my husband has ever eaten. Dan, the owner, is so nice. Knows our order and the food is always consistently good. Our grandkids love to go so Dan will make them a Mickey Mouse pancake. Just a really nice group of people. read more
